Catnapping - OTA
Who: Spark and whomever
Where: All around the train
When: After the mission, before the platform
What: Spark being introspective while trying to pretend he's still just... Spark
Warnings: Angst, possible violence mentions.
Spark often claimed that he slept through missions to explain why he was absent from them, so he was free to have Gar or Privateer Pirate show up. But this time he actually had slept. He'd been sleeping a lot since that world with the fake lives, that one that felt so much like a storm from Nautilus.
But he was....
Lonely. That was it. He was lonely.
He was more settled now than he had been after the fish world, but he was still barely eating and avoiding people. Or had been. He just...
He wished Adrien would show up here. Or The Doctor would know who he was. Rose. Nino. Connie. Nita. Kirika. Dominic. Greg. Donovan. Luna. He'd even take Jacob or Gabriel at this point, though each had their issues. Of course if he was bothering with wishing... Quilt.
He shook himself and walked through the train, looking for someone who needed a cat to snuggle with, or tell their problems to. Or a friendly face from Nautilus, since none from his real home or Paris were here...

Link hesitated and then said in quieter tones, "I can't tell someone all about my troubles when they aren't being entirely honest with me."

The Ascended knew that much was baloney.

"I'm a cat. Talking is my magic. Have you ever heard of a cat learning magic? Your answer to my saying I don't Bend isn't 'maybe the talking cat is right and he can't Bend' and isn't even 'maybe he was so lazy he never bothered to try, despite being.. you know... a CAT' it was 'well I can Bend, so clearly the cat is lying'? Unless you mean lying down how is 'so clearly the cat is lying' ever the first answer?!" His jaw might be hanging open a bit.

Link busied himself with cleaning up.
“Speech isn’t that strange either, at least, not where I’m from…”

This was like being guilty of robbing the bank just to be grilled and jailed for stealing cookies from someone he met once.

Link huffed and smiled a little. “Maybe you’re just stuck on being the perfect lazy cat. That’s probably exhausting.”
He shrugged. “You wouldn’t argue this much if you were just a lazy cat.”
Link paused in mid-scrub. “It doesn’t matter much. If you want to keep lying, I mean. Just…don’t expect me to bare my soul in return. It’s hard enough with those who trust me.”

“I hope you enjoyed the fish.”

Thank you for the thread
Which was at least the truth.
