Where: Quiet double room, standard coach, one half of the sports gym
When: All throughout Nebula!
What: A catch-all for art activities for those whose characters are taking part in them, teaching, and all that jazz.
Warnings:
Throughout the month of [name], there has been a push for people to come and indulge in the arts, with different activities set out at different times, by different people! Posters have been around the carriages to promote what's been called the Art Extravaganza, encouraging people to sign-up and get down to business!
And what is there to do? It's up for the passengers to decide, either by being a teacher and showing the craft. Or there's Free Time, where you can practice with what there is with others interested.
So, again: what is there to do?
[ SKETCHING, PAINTING, COLOURING! ] The basics of the basics when one thinks of art: working with paper and pencil. Whether you're a beginner or have some skills, you're invited to come by to the double quiet room as a get-together, grab one of the available sketchbooks, and to get cracking.
🎨
[ BEADY, SHAPES, AND CLAY! ] But maybe you want to work with your hands in a different manner. There's beadcraft, as well as further exploration with paper and cardboard, for a more careful type of art to keep your hands busy. There's a couple of books to help you craft all sorts.
🎨
[ MORE! MORE! ] There's plenty more to choose from, with people offering to teach their own fun crafts, and new ways to past the time. Take a gander at learning how to knit, or even how to spin wool generously donated by Katsuya's wooloo. Why not take around some of the cameras, and take pictures - then learn how to upload them onto the computer in the standard coach to print them out?
There's also a few supplies to make small candles, with wicks, wax, a few colours for mixing and fragrances. Come to the kitchen for that, or even for Romeo's baking and coffee arts!
Note: edible glitter is included.
Come help teach or get stuck in - this is surely the half of the month meant for relaxing.

Whether you're a beginner or have some skills, you're invited to come by to the double quiet room as a get-together, grab one of the available sketchbooks, and to get cracking. - ☛ Small studies have been set up for drawing: cloths over cups, a bowl of fruits; a book on earth animals has been left to copy from. There's also a flashlight you can set up for some light study. ...just, try to get it to sit at the angle you want...!
☛ Or why not reach for the box of chalks, or even the bottles of paints? With these, you can mess with the available black paper; using the colours of the paints boldly, or testing how far you can take a white piece of chalk and the black of the paper.
☛ But why stay in one room for inspiration? You have the entire train to turn to: the greenhouse, with its multiple plants; the standard coach, for some sneaky people-drawing; or even the library, where there exists a couple of photobooks?
[ BEADY, SHAPES, AND CLAY! ] But maybe you want to work with your hands in a different manner. There's beadcraft, as well as further exploration with paper and cardboard, for a more careful type of art to keep your hands busy. There's a couple of books to help you craft all sorts.- ☛ For origami, why not learn to make butterflies, foxes, or even try at some origami dinosaurs?
☛ Some of those onboard may have better ideas of what to do with some simple beads and string, but there's always the easiest: colourful bracelets. Simple and with a few colours to select from, they can make a good gift for yourself, or maybe for a friend. Or maybe you can make them more creative by dabbing on some paint?
☛ But how about getting some mess involved. There's two pottery wheels and a lot of clay, and Rapunzel can be handwaved to be around to help teach how to use them. Or maybe your character already knows how to? The wheels with their seats are brought out to the sports gymnasium at a specific time, and anyone can come and use them, try them out.

Romeo has been looking forward to this for a very long time! And now the mission is over for the month it is time to have fun and make lots of cool things!
He can be found everywhere, drawing, paining, in a mess of paper as he tried to master origami. Romeo's skills at art are very low, his drawing skills are more like those of a much much younger child, but what he lacks in talent he more than makes up with sheer enthusiasm.
He can be found in front of one of the studies, trying to make what is on the paper look anything like what is in front of him. Despite the difficulty he is not giving up! Determinedly trying even if his paper is becoming more hole than paper with all the rubbing out!
The beeds are very fiddly but with a stuck out tongue and a lot of effort he can thread them and he seems very happy with what he makes. "Do you think it's pretty?"
He is also very excited about using a pottery wheel! Though a bit nervous too. "Have you used one of these before?" He will ask anyone close by.
Join in!
He is determined to help as many people have fun as he can! After all everyone worked hard on the mission and then lots of people got sad because people left and the new people were still all confused and maybe scared! So it was important that they had fun things to keep their spiris up!
If he sees anyone on the edges he will bounce up to them. "Do you want to join in? We can do something together if you want!"
Baking and Coffee Art
When it comes to Romeo's teaching it is... Chaotic to say the least but he stands in the kitchen with all the baking things he has bought and grins at his class. "Okay we are going to learn how to make the glitteriest cakes and I'm going to show you how to make the best coffee as well because good coffee is really important!"
Says the eleven year old dead child who probably should not be allowed near caffine...
EVERYTHIIING though i have to say the coffee prompt is hilarious
"Yeah, I used them after I put them together!" Not to mention that she already got to try one out before that, back when they stopped at the resort.. So while Madoka would be hard-pressed to call herself an expert - but then again, isn't that true for absolutely any topic when it comes to Madoka of all people - she does like to think she at least knows how these things work. "Do you want to do it together, Romeo? Then I can help you if something goes wrong!"
no subject
It was good that she had used these pottery wheels before!
"That's a good idea! Your a really good teacher Madoka so I bet I will learn so much!"
no subject
Please, Romeo, you will never manage to get in a compliment with Madoka that easily. She's way too on her guard about them. Look at her deflect it like a champ.
"Besides, there are really easy to figure out once you have a slight idea, you know..? It's just that they can seem a little intimidating at first!"

Baking
"Can Guilmon be the taste tester?"
Re: Baking
"Of course you can be! You can judge what cake and coffee is the best!"
He would be a good judge, because he liked eating yummy things so much!

Takato follows him up with a laugh.
"Do you need any help with anything?" he asks.

Baking
Tidus is here for a baking lesson! ...or a baking pal, in a time of need! Whatever this is, is Romeo up to the challenge?!
Re: Baking
This is an emergency!
"We best get to work!"
no subject
"Thanks Rome, you're a life-saving! So, other than all the glitter we can manage, what are we thinking? Cupcakes? Frosting? You're the boss today. Show me a secret recipe!"
That Tidus likely already knows from being in the kitchen with Romeo plenty of times, but you know. It's all in good fun! Teach him, oh Romeo.

"It's very fun! Do you like art? Do you want to join in?"

She chuckled as she leaned forward and pulled a feather from his hair and handed it to him. "Not sure I'd be any good at it, but I'm glad you're enjoying it."

Wrap? Yes, thank you!

Taiki had agreed to teach a class on oil painting. It was something he enjoyed though he didn't really consider himself good enough at it to teach others.
Still he would try his best, he had bought some canvases and some paper as well as some extra sets of oil paint.
He has it all set up in the standard coach and he paints quietly himself whilst he waits for students. He smiles softly at anyone who approaches.
"Did you wish to learn?"
Trying things out
When he is not teaching, Taiki can be found trying out a couple of the other activities. Sketching is something he enjoys and so he can be found experimenting with light or even in the greenhouse. He spends an hour or so in front of Gyousou's sword, the flowers growing up and around it now, sketching it carefully.
But he also tries some bead work and candle making, always working quietly though smiling softly at anyone around him.
no subject
Not really. Maybe any form of art that doesn't involve putting something on paper. But oil painting sure isn't something he's good at, and it's not something he's ever expecting to get good at either.
And yet he's still here. Because dangit, Inigo is determined to support Taiki in anything he does, even if it means Inigo has to brave the terrifying world of putting paint on a paper.
"I'll do my best..!"
.. no, he isn't gripping that brush a little too tightly because of his nerves! T-That's just your imagination, dude!
no subject
He also knows that Inigo is probably only here to support him in his teaching and so he can feel nothing but gratitude to his friend.
He moves so he is sat next to Inigo, reaching out to the hand that is gripping the brush. "Just relax. It doesn't have to be perfect, or even look realistic. A lot of great art is just colour on canvas. It's more... the feeling."
no subject
".. but my feelings are also dumb."
It's one of those things he wouldn't mention to just anyone, but he'll tell Taiki. Because the other already knows.
"What if that means they're going to look dumb on paper too?"

oil painting
There's a teasing note as he asks it back, hands on his sides. Was he that interested in oil painting? Not in the long term... but it might be fun, and Taiki was involved - so why not? He brings his hands close together, bring forefinger and thumb to make a frame.
"I wanna make a small painting... like this size! Of a blitzball! Something blocky and fun!" Heheh. "Sound like a good goal?"
Re: oil painting
He tilted his head as Tidus described what he wanted to paint and nodded. "Do you think you can paint it from memory or do you want to go and fetch it?"
It's Tidus, he might have every angle of a blitzball memorised...

Takato had been looking forward to this! He wasn't an expert at art, but making flags was something he'd done for fun a few times.
He'd set out crayons, paints and glitter, along with large sheets of paper. To the side were some sticks, ready to attach to the flags.
And in the meantime he and Guilmon had spread out a large sheet of paper and were happily decorating it by drawing things they remembered from home.
Everywhere
When not showing people how to make flags, Takato was going around and trying a little of everything. He spends a lot of time in the quiet rooms, messing around with sketching as he asked anyone nearby for advice. Guilmon sits by him quietly cheering him on. He folds a few origami creatures for Guilmon (and makes an attempt at an origami Guilmon that makes them both laugh).
no subject
"Um.. hi!" The girl says as she shows up, looking a tad shy since she doesn't know Takato all that way, but happy to be here. "I'm here to come make flags..!"

Candid photos are pretty nice.
no subject
Which means that Ple Two has every single opportunity to snap some photos of Madoka here. She's so concentrated on folding the paper that she isn't looking around her, let alone enough to notice someone being subtle with a camera. Instead the young girl is frowning as she leans over the paper, frowning in concentration, the tip of her tongue sticking out of her mouth.
This is the ideal moment!

I need pictures of Spidermadoka!Madoka isn't the only person Ple Two needs her candid photos of, but forgive her if she focuses on her girlfriend above all else. She's absolutely, stunningly adorable when she's focused on something like this, and that little tongue-poke of concentration-Is the perfect time to snap a quick picture.
