Reading Time
Who: Conan and Anyone
What: Conan finally has a book and he just wants to read it. Now if only people would let him....
When: Bassoon 18
Where: Standard Coach
With all the excitement of the new arrivals over with, Conan finally had time to take a look at the book he'd ordered from the shop. He finds a quiet chair in the coach and opens the massive book to the first page.

"The timing of it is off too. Besides, you'd get suspicious if I didn't annoy you from time to time."
He kneels and pokes through the debris.

Conan had already started to get suspicious about that. Especially since it had been a while since Hattori had tried to prank him as well.
"What are you looking for?"
no subject
"Anything to see if I can work out why it failed. Hm. The wall might be a bit too thick I think....
Say. You know him better than I do. Is Hattori-kun ok?"
no subject
But now that he'd talked to Hattori and figured out the source of the problem Conan fully intended to drag Hattori along on the quest to find a way home until he also believed that it was possible. By sheer force of will if necessary.
"Just don't test them on me."
no subject
"Who else am I supposed to test em on? You saw how Skywalker-san reacted!"
He makes a face.
"Yeah? I did think he wasn't quite himself. I'll try and keep him distracted, and you can do the friend thing."
no subject
Conan privately thought that he was probably the worst person to try and do any friend things. He'd never really figured out how any of that worked. But... it was Hattori. So he'd try.
"Try to avoid any distractions that involved malfunctioning smoke bombs."
no subject
"Eh. You know he'd enjoy them."
It would be a distraction, after all. Maybe he should stage a heist. It'd be a pretty simple one from necessity but it might keep both his detectives from dying of boredom and homesickness.
no subject
Conan would like to insist that he wasn't that bored.
no subject
"Well distract then." He says cheerfully. "You can even help me plan something for him, if you want." Kaito is an equal oppportunity prankster.
no subject
"Pass," he says bluntly. "I'm not getting involved."
Unfortunately for Conan, he hadn't realized that it was already too late.
no subject
"Sure, you say that. You'll be bored enough soon, I bet." He teases.
no subject
"Not bored enough for that."
