Voidy's Not So Scary Missionween Party
Who: Open to anyone not partaking in the Nebula 21-23 mission (the October event)
Where: The whole train
When: Nebula 21-23
What: A catch-all post for everyone not on the mission.
Warnings: Threads will be labeled accordingly.
Did you choose not to go on the second mission this month? Did you try to go and somehow wind up in the luggage car? Either way, you're stuck on the train for the next few days while the mission plays out. Have fun!
(This is an open catch-all for anyone not participating in the mission. Write your own toplevels and tag around! Who knows - maybe someone will throw a party!)

He was stepping out of the train to go on the mission, but suddenly he's in the luggage room. ... Weird.
He looks around at the other people in the room with him. "Is this... um. Normal?" He's only been on one mission, he has no idea.
Training
Ryu's taking advantage of the fact that there's few people around to transform and tear into some training dummies. He's pulling his punches, but even so there's a lot of crashing and some vaguely inhuman roars from the training gym.
He's not angry, but his whole posture still reads as furious. It's just the way he stands in this form, but it still might be concerning.
Naptime
All that training makes him tired, and it's not long before Ryu finds a flat spot to start dozing. It might be sprawled on one of the seats in the standard car, or flopped in one of the beanbags in the game room, or even curled up on top of the washing machine. Anywhere with enough space is a potential bed for Ryu.

Oh good! Where some people might see a sleeping person, Spark sees a bed. He will hop up onto Ryu's supine form unless stopped and lay out to sleep. He wanted an orange cat to nap with, yes?

Takato and Guilmon had meant to go on the mission with everyone else. They liked to help, so of course they volunteered.
They hadn't really expected to find themselves right back in the baggage car. Takato groans slightly from where he was pinned under his friend.
"Guilmon, can you let me up?"
The digimon hastily picks himself up. and helps his friend stand up.
"Sorry Takato! Guilmon wasn't expecting that."
Standard Car:
Later, the two of them sit together and stare at each other.
"What do we do now?" Takato wonders.
Guilmon thinks very hard. "We could make bread? Or maybe we could play some games!"

He was still a little... shaken... by the incident on the water world, but he had to play the role. Had to be Spark.
"You know what goes well with bread? FISH!"
He doesn't mind that he popped up in someone else's conversation, so they shouldn't mind either, right?

Takato smiles at Spark. He wasn't really bothered by a friend inviting himelf along (And Spark was a lot politer about it than Impmon had been).
"Yeah! Guilmon likes fish too!"

"Okay, but remember I don't know how to cook fish."

"Guilmon wants to try that! Can we add peanut butter too?"

"But maybe we could make some other things too. Just in case."

Closed to Clef
Despite Clef's notable absence from there recently, the library was the first place Leia checked. And lo and behold, Clef was actually there this time. Maybe he'd been drawn out by the now much quieter train? "There you are, Clef," she said as she approached. "Haven't seen you around here in awhile."
Re: Closed to Clef
Re: Closed to Clef
She pulled a chair over near Clef's rock and took a seat. "Well that, and Shadow asked me to talk to you. I expect you can guess what about."
Re: Closed to Clef
But then he rubbed his face. "Shadow and I see him very differently," he said. "He believes I do not see him, simply because I disagree."
In other words he is still missing the point.
Re: Closed to Clef
"And what do you see in him?" She did want to hear Clef's side of things first before getting into Shadow's, and the main meat of the disagreement.
Re: Closed to Clef
He sighed a bit. "He's a good person. That's what I see. He is more focused on what he is, rather than who he is.
Re: Closed to Clef
She nodded thoughtfully. "And what is he, according to him? And maybe more importantly, what is he according to you?"
Re: Closed to Clef
"According to him he is a creature of darkness who has to work hard to be good. According to me, he is good. That choosing to be good, working at being good, those are the marks of a good person. He is a good person. He is Link's brother. He is one of Zelda's protectors. And even if he does not see me as his father, which is fine, he is still precious as a son to me."
Re: Closed to Clef
"I imagine it took a lot of work to become as skilled a mage as you are," she finally said. "A lot of time, effort, and study to hone your skills, and continued study and effort to keep them from getting rusty." Anticipating the question at her apparent sudden change of subject, she added, "And yes, I promise that this is relevant."
Re: Closed to Clef
Re: Closed to Clef
She hoped that Clef would catch on to what she was implying. If not, she'd have to spell it out for him.
