[open meeting log!] So about that fake mission

Who: Open to everyone on the train!

What: A public meet and discuss about that not-so-real mission.

A day after the return from the fake mission, before lunchtime, a call comes through the ICPs. Two figures are present on the screen: Tidus, standing without his usual cheer worn but still good-natured enough, and Jingyi, with a frown pulling down the corners of his mouth.

Tidus nods at the screen.

Hey! Me ‘n’ Jingyi think it’d be a good idea if we all talked about what happened on that mission. The interviews, how we feel about the Ministry-

Or whatever else we want to get off our chests.

Right. I know we’ve got a lot of feelings after what happened… But anyway. [ No need to get into that now- ] We can talk about it later. ‘Bout- three hours from now. Six on the clocks - these round things.

[ He's bothered to take one down from the room they're using, showing in both hands a clock picked up off-screen just now, tapping a finger near the number.

After a few seconds, he puts it back down. ]

We'll send out another message too. Soo, [ oh boy, ending time, ] --see you all later?

Any known team leads would have been told about the meeting beforehand, but as promised, another message gets sent out after three hours for a reminder from the upper music carriage.

And in the aforementioned carriage, much isn't needed to prepare. Rows of chairs already sit around a stage in the centre, and a table has been set up with water jugs, a big bowl of nuts, and ... ice cream. With accompanying bowls and spoons. Different types of teas have been added, as well as apple pies.

As enough people enter the room, a start comes to the meeting - about what happened, and what to do from there.

Yeah. I was "Salamander" there, a regenerator. It was a real balancing act keeping the fake memories clear enough to use without falling back into them, let me tell you. Keeping the regen was a nice perk though.

Yes we do no even be talking about the fake memories. [She had fallen hard and fallen deep, not fully shaking off the illusion until they were back on the train.]

I did be having powers like yours. I could be making more of me.

Huh. Well, all I can recommend is to try to keep using it in a controlled environment. I've heard some people have trouble controlling their Diagad powers, but the best way to get that control is to keep using it.

People can be using them even now?

She could do that even here? Make more of her.]

Do it be messing with their heads, to be doing it?

It did back in Diagad, but not any more. No matter how much I regenerate, Salamander's still just a fuzzy half-remembered dream. There aren't any other side effects either, as far as I know.

Right. That do be being good. [She doesn't want anything messing with her head.] So you can be regenerating now and I might be able to be... making more of me?

Yep. Starts out weak enough that it's barely noticeable, but it gets stronger the more you use it. I spar with Usagi a lot, so mine's gotten pretty decent.

Oh. [If she tried it, it would get better.

I do no even be knowing how I did be doing it though, back then. It did just be natural.

Eh, can't help you there. Regeneration is pretty automatic as far as powers go.

I do be guessing so. [She shrugged.] I do no be knowing how to be doing it. I do no be having magic at all in this real life.
