Printer Mistake (Open)

What: Masumi tries to print some photos from her phone, makes a mistake.

[A few days after the printer was added to the train, Masumi finally gets around to trying to print some photos from home off her phone. After all, she desperately misses her friends and family, so it makes sense to try printing a few pictures off. And for the most part, it goes well! She gets some nice pictures of her loved ones printed!

However, she accidentally mispicks one photo, and accidentally prints a photo of her alongside an apparent middle school aged child. She hasn't noticed yet, the picture is still in the printer where anyone can see it.

Raptor peers at the picture, picks it up and looks at it. She's not really familiar with the people in it, but one of them kind of looks like the person printing. The other... She can't quite place.

"Um, is this picture yours?"

Huh? [Masumi looks to see what photo Raptor has, only to visibly freeze on recognizing it. How did that one even get printed?]

...That's my sister. [It's the best she can come up with, and it probably helps that that's a more reasonable conclusion than that girl in the picture being her deaged mother.]

She nods, "I could see that you may miss your sister. Do you need help putting these photos somewhere?"

She tilts her head, the freeze was odd, but humans are odd creatures and most of the residents of the train have been human.

[ This is clearly the biggest thing going on here. Jake watches this process with clear approval. ]

So you have your friend pics too, huh?

Yup, just printing a few off now that we have this- [Masumi goes to grab the printed images, only to freeze, eyes widening at the image on top. Hoping Jake didn't see yet, she hurriedly shuffles the top picture to the bottom and shows the new top image, a shot of her with her friends during the class trip she'd been on right before the train took her.]

..Like this one, this was taken during a class trip to Kyoto. [Hopefully this works out fine!]

[ Jake has a detective's sharp eye, but he doesn't really have a reason to question the other photo, so he lets it pass. ]

Looks like a good time. So will this work with any phone?

I think so. It works with mine, at least, so if you have one you can try and see if it works.

[Masumi’s just happy that Jake didn’t bring up that one picture, and is taking the chance to move on and hope it stays that way.]
