Who: Tidus & You!
Where: Kitchen carriage, dining, wherever he gets teleported to, and sports gym!
When: Quicksand 1 - 6 (before mission time)
What: Cooking, teleporting, and a kid-teen friendly exercise/obstacle course!
Warnings: Should be none!

1. cooking, morning and dinner ( p-p-p-pancakes and panfried meals)

You know what Tidus wants to do?

He wants to cook.

And what a good month to have that urge, with Purple on meal duties. He doesn't usually bother to take charge in the kitchen for chores, sticking with helping out if he's interested. But this time? Why not. They've got new foods, with enough of a selection that he goes for it: writing down his name for a breakfast and dinner shift after going through the ingredients, and making a call later over the ICPs:

"Hey, Tidus here! I'm cooking for breakfast tomorrow. If any newbies don't know how the kitchen works, or you just wanna cook some food, come 'n' help out - I'm thinking pancakes, smoothies, and pan frittata for breakfast."

For dinner, it's the same set-up, Tidus inviting others to join him for whatever reason, just with a different menu: fish and veggie skewer bites, pan-fried rice with vegetables and meat, and even squash and pineapple fried up with a few veggies.

a: cooking

Whichever time you'll meet him, he'll be found in the kitchen, readying the ingredients and the pans he'll need. He's got a bud in one ear playing music that he hums along to, so you might need to speak up to get his attention. But he's got a good view of the doorway, and will usually give someone he sees a 'Sup!' or 'Morning!' - depending on the time, of course.

Are you here to learn a few things? Do you just want to help out? Or maybe you're just here because you are = Tidus will accept any and all reasons, so long as it doesn't include intentional disasters.

b: it's eatin' time

There's a giddiness that comes with the apprehension of having enough, but surprisingly, it works out. Tidus is skilled at making more than he needs to, and it shows by the spread set out on the end of the dining table close to the kitchen. Oats have been set out, fresh sliced fruits (strawberries, banana, apple, and more), an oatmeal bake of pineapple and cinnamon, yoghurt, and bowls to pick and mix the selection from.

There's also the promised pancakes, and some slices of frittata - a meaty version with turkey bacon mixed in, but a veggie variety too. Tidus will come out to top up the heated food when it's getting low, or you can come into the kitchen to let him know - or even come in, and try out the smoothie maker they have set ready too.

(Don't worry, there's plenty of fruits and vegetables left for the month.)

Truthfully, he's nervous on the inside, both for breakfast and when dinner rolls around, and he hangs around the kitchen just in case. But you know he'll play it cool when and if anyone comes inside during eating times, smiling, and definitely not in a 'oh man I hope everything's okay' way.

2. your very own dreamboy (teleporting shenanigans)

There's more than just food to worry about, though. Since Praeus, some of Tidus's Diagad powers have started to show themselves, with somewhat positive results. The ability to show up around whoever wants him near, or who he asks - pretty handy, and it hasn't been messing up too much since he's started practising.

Life won't let him keep that up.

Because all it takes is a stray thought, either from Tidus or anyone else; not even anything deliberate, but just thinking about him gives him a feeling. Like someone is talking to him, and he thinks to answer them, turning his head to respond--

And he's gone from wherever he was - the sports gym, sitting in bed, sitting in a chair - and appears wherever that person was. And the feeling they receive from Tidus is much the same. Did they just hear Tidus? Feel him? -- now he's right there, usually toppling over something or walking straight into places that shouldn't be walked (and if there's something in the way - you bet you're hearing an 'ouch!' as he knocks unfortunate body parts.)

And it only gets worse, when Allen's bad luck power just makes him show up around random people without any stray thought.

3. a teen and younger obstacle course

Link leads to its own top-level available for younger characters to tag and do activities! Older folks allowed for teaching moves and w/e, if they're supporting the younger folks.

"Then be moving. Be hurrying." She sighed, put upon but pauses a moment, in case he finds some bravery in that baby heart of his and actually begins to race.

"Going, going..!!!"

It's not really bravery if he's just scrambling, probably. But he is picking up speed! He's. Probably going to slip at some point, but he is doing his best!!

"Good. I do be being right behind you." Is it a reassurance? A threat? Who knows but it is the truth, she is at his heals, no longer trying to scramble over him.

"Be focusing on your goal."

"R-Right-"

And well at least he's managed the balance beam-

But now he has to actually start jumping over stuff, and man, he's coming closer and closer to falling over on that one. "Hhhahh- WwwwOooah-"

And closer....and closer....

It would just take one shove....the things Emporio's good friends must put up with here!

"Focus. Do no be looking down. Be looking at your goal. Where do you want to be being Emporio? On the other side or on the floor?"

Her voice was still snappish but she didn't push him. She just sighed impatiently.

"R-Right..!" Okay. He takes some deep breaths. Focus. He needs to focus...His balance is improving a bit at least, though some misty cloud arms start manifesting behind as if to try and catch him...

"Hey- ...Weather, that's cheating..!" But that's the next obstacle clear at least, even if those are the saddest disappearing arms anyone has ever seen.

"That do be cheating!" She grumbled as well. She never quite knew how to deal with Weather. He was weird. It was very weird.

At least her gun in her head hadn't come with a weird man. That would have been really stupid.

"He will no be learning if you do be catching him."

"Exactly..!"

The saddest arms continue to be the saddest arms. Or. Saddest clouds. They're the saddest somethings, even as Emporio starts going under a rope net for the next obstacle.

"Hrmn...at least he can't try to cheat on this one..."

They are very sad cloud arms. Sad cloud arm man is still following but she doesn't tell him off again since he's not cheating any more. She just nodded at Emporio.

"That do be being the spirit."

No cheating. Only hard work.

"Right..!" Hup hup hup- it's awkward crawling under the net like this, but it's at least easier to manage without issue. There's only the net after all- nothing beneath to worry about, and that then leaves...climbing!

"Hah! At least I had practice doing this one right..?"

Ah yes. Aquafir. Origin of the horrible strange disk to the head.

Because that's a great thing to bring up!!

"Yes. This do be being like that. But no for such babies. You do be being on the next level."

One stage up. Still not as cool as her of course, but not a baby in a foam safe climbing room.

"Haha-! Now I really can't fail huh..!" He can laugh at least though, since he's pretty sure he won't be falling off.

Probably.

There's cushions below at least so he's keeping that in mind. (He will definitely not be as cool as his friend.)

"No. It would be being very disappointing if you did be failing now."

She would be disappointed in him, sad cloud man would be disappointed in him. It would be a bad time all around.

For him. Mostly.

"Somehow now that you've said it like that it feels like I won't be the most disappointed..."

...But at least he's making his way up there with relative ease. Soon enough he's over that wall! ...Now he just. Has to get back down.

"Oh...it's a climbing wall instead of a rope from here..." Well, okay.

"Can you be doing it?"

She hopes so. She's invested now, in seeing him through to the end.

Clearly the best motivation is a bossy girl following him around as he attempting these feats of athletics.

No. Wait. He can't hesitate, because if he hesitates, then he'll actually question himself, and that's a spiral waiting to happen-

Okay, here he's going, he's climbing now. "Yeah, I...I can!!"

He's Totally Got This do not jinx it,

"Yes you can be." Good Emporio. She's got this encouraging mentor thing down.

"Be focusing, be thinking. You will be being at the top soon if you do no be falling."

Motivation. She's got this.

"Y...yeah..." Alright, time to get to climbing. And honestly, she's not doing too badly! ...Possibly because he hasn't messed up yet, a grim part of him acknowledges, but if there's anything he can still handle fine enough it's climbing!

He just has to go bit by bit now...and not get distracted...

She might be enjoying her role as teacher a bit. It was fun, she got to boss him around but also her bossing was making him do stuff he had been cautious of.

It's a good feeling. She kept up, watching him closely.

He's making pretty good time though. Weather keeps trying to mist somewhere back near Little One, as if to prepare to catch someone falling, but Emporio seems to do a good job of mentally catching the thing in the act and sending them off. He just needs to get...a little farther...

"Hah! Made it..!"

Perhaps. Perhaps a motivator was her purpose all along. She tutted at the mist whenever Weather tried to appear. Emporio won't learn if mist arms just stop him from falling.

And he was learning very well right now.

"Yes. You did be doing it. You did be climbing to the top."

"Yeah!"

...Wait.

"...And...now I have to get down..."

Why couldn't the top be the end of this course? Were they placed on this train to suffer!?

"Yes. You should be jumping. Look there do be being mats."

She pointed, there was indeed a crash mat for a jump landing.

"Ah."

Oh.

There certainly are mats at the bottom.

Abruptly, Emporio's enthusiasm seems to have left for the never-ending void. The boy stares down at the mats, and swallows.

"And it's definitely enough padding down there...right..?"

Come on Emporio, don't fail her now!
