[CLOSED] That's Not How Tree Walking Works Guys

Who: CLOSED - Kiyoiri & Kabuto
Where: Greenhouse Carriage (to start)
When: Rabbit Day 20
What: Turns out, Magic Circuits and Chakra paths is the same.
Warnings: None, unless Kabuto being weird is one
For the last number of weeks since starting their theoretical project, one thing has stood out to Kiyoiri immensely.

Kabuto kind of sucks at this. Not at his job- no he's quite good at that, unbelievably good in fact, and personally she thinks his snakes are nice. No, it's a matter of teaching someone the most basic of basics to ever be basic.

He did his best though, and she figures that's something. Kiyoiri has spent the last number of weeks on the daily stopping by the greenhouse carriage, laying on her back, and setting bare feet against a tree. It doesn't otherwise look like much is happening most of those weeks, but she seems fairly focused on Something, so there's...probably something going on.

And honestly it can't be that hard. Fuuma Kotarou taught them how to do what Kabuto considers to be a simple 'kawarimi' move using playing cards, so walking up a tree should be easy. Heck, they don't even need hand seals for the kawarimi trick.

Still. Kiyoiri focuses. And focuses.

And then finally, one day, she simply starts walking up the tree from where her back was against the ground. Her core strength is on point, thank you.

Kiyoiri holds her crow, now that it's a crow again, and gently tosses it in the air. "...If you could tell Kabuto-sensei, 'I did it', please."

A friendly caw is the answer, and off the bird flies. Kiyoiri for her part just waits.

Standing perfectly perpendicular against the tree trunk, a good number of meters up in the air.

Mostly people would find that intensely distressing to suddenly have a crow up in their business, but Kabuto's never... really been most people. Or normal, for that matter. So it hardly requires him to look up from his reading when he hears the movement of wings nearby. Nor does the words really give him much pause other than raising a brow in question. "Is that so." His tone is blunt, as it tends to always be, he doesn't believe for a second that this is true.

"I'll be there in a few minutes, then, if you would." He responds simply to the crow as he closes the book with a snap and pushes himself out of his chair to head for the carriage.

The greenhouse carriage isn't one he tends to visit that often anymore, for obvious reasons. But this is for a particular purpose and he hums to himself as he makes his way, ready to be disappointed in some sort of trick.

Only to be met with...

That.

He blinks slowly as he processes just what he's looking at as he moves closer to this tree. "Most tend to sit on the branch before calling, but I don't know why I expected you to do anything the same as anyone else."

She's not wrong, of course, but it still doesn't stop him from chuckling a bit as he stops properly about a foot from the tree itself.

"I suppose you're correct. You can come down now, if you wish. There's much to be done and that's simply the beginning. But I'm quite impressed that it was that simple to channel like that." Meaning his hypothesis on the systems being about the same was, in fact, mostly correct. The true test comes with what they can do with it.

He won't even bat an eye at how she decides to get back down to the ground, at this point he's come to terms with the fact that nothing is going to be normal about this. Not that he expected it to be in the first place.

"Mm. That would make sense... I wouldn't say anything would require too much energy for the time being. Though it's been a bit since I had "normal" human levels of chakra, so we shall see." Such is the life of being a sage, always having some chakra around and having ridiculous stores of it.

Good thing it's probably impossible to get to their homes to make contracts.

He slowly rolls his shoulders as he turns to head for the door again, because of course he's all business. "From here, I believe were are better heading for the medical bay. Just in case something goes wrong, but it's also a more appropriate space for our first lesson."

Yay, learning!

It can't be any worse than any genin he's had the misfortune of running across, so she'll be perfectly fine. After all, he wouldn't be bothering if he didn't find something interesting in her. He quietly leads the way back to the medical car before plopping himself onto one of the stools, the usual tools sitting out because of him being the last in here.

"Now, I'm sure you've seen me do it before as it's the simplest form of healing. Shōsen jutsu." Sir, that is not at all the simplest form of healing, why are you like this. "The concept is simple enough, you use your energy to focus on the wound and the cells around it, to accelerate their natural healing. It takes concentration and control, but I believe that would be simple enough for you..."

"That is certainly an inferior version to it. It should completely restore minor damage, though larger ones it would take more chakra. Or, at least, to stabilize someone to where it is easier to deal with in the future." Or be a cheater like him, but he's obviously not the normal when it comes to these things.

Without missing he beat he reaches for the scalpel he'd set out recently and makes a quick cut on the top of his arm. It's obviously not life threatening and he doesn't even seem to flinch from it. Though he does use his other hand to cover it, the light blue energy clear to see. It takes only about a moment or two before it heals entirely. "It gets to a point where you don't really have to think about it for the majority of injuries." There's also seemingly no mark from where there'd just been a cut.

"Though cuts are quite a simple thing to fix." Says the man who, without another word, cuts himself again in the same spot and holds his arm out. Well, into the fire you go, Kiyori.

Considering how many times this man has cut himself with a scalpel at this point, it shouldn't be anything remotely a surprise. He's become pretty numb to most levels of pain at this point, but that's the life of a shinobi, in particular his type.

He's quiet as he watches her, taking note of every little movement and what he can feel from his body healing. It's not bad, he will give her that. In fact, it's a lot better than he expected it to be.

It takes longer than he would prefer, but it does at least heal perfectly. "Very good. Control and efficiency is absolutely something to be worked on, but at least you didn't end up burning me." He's seen some wild things in his time with how this can go badly.
