Feeling just a little lighter now, Rezo pulls himself up, scrabbling clumsily with his back legs until he half-falls, half-slides forward into Lioriley’s lap. Then he sort of wriggles around, tiny hands pressing into her legs, trying to get his limbs and tail into some semblance of order. Eventually he manages to settle onto his side, tail draped loosely over one thigh, his head leaning against the other.
Rezo tentatively smiles, giving a tiny glimpse of even tinier, sharp teeth.
“Since we’re alone, there really isn’t much reason to restrain ourselves, is there?” he says.
