Even this foreign form doesn't seem to stop Kaiba from being just a little fastidious. Esteban allows himself a tiny snicker, finding it somewhat endearing-- he's learning a lot from his friend that he'd never noticed before. He's going to have to thank Jingyi for the opportunity!
Still, he'd offered to help, and off Kaiba was, doing everything all on his own. He'd scoot closer, but with the programmer darting off to take care of it himself, he'd stayed back, near the little applin, as he had promised he would watch over her.
"Oh! Smart!" He adds at the notion that they'll at least have towels and the bathing suits set aside in the spa car. "I was just gonna try an' hold on the transformation when 't ran out." A risk, maybe. But Esteban has an inkling he might be able to keep it together for a few extra minutes. Yes, that is absolutely cheating.
"Hey! I like bein' around you," he adds, when Kaiba thanks him. "It's fun, an' I get t' learn all sortsa things!" It might be a little less enthusiastic on his taciturn companion-- but Kaiba had called him a friend; so Esteban settled that the feeling had to be at least a little mutual.
'Dians. He's actually really proud of that.
He scuttles after Kaiba when his companion starts down their way back to the spa car.
"Oh, I've seen Eva!" He's never spoken to her before, but there's a first time for everything! Eventually, he'll track her down and have a proper conversation with her One Day.
The information about the pokemon is a little more or less confusing though, and he glances at the little critter, unsure about the idea of having her fight, well, anything. He settles on a different matter entirely instead.
"An apple. Dragon." He can see it. Beyond her large, deep eyes, there's a little tail poking out through the back of the apple she's inhabiting, but-- seriously?
... Alright, yes.
"She's a cutie," he adds, voice dipping a bit to purr lightly at the little pokemon next to the silver dragon. Esteban makes a mental note to bake another apple pie soon-- Kaiba and Snapper both had seemed to like it last time!
