Alice reaches out with her free hand to gently pat the tiny dragon on the head.

"There, there. I know it must be so terribly hard to have someone looking out for you." Obviously there's a bit of deadpan in that statement, but can you really blame Alice? She's slowly moving from the child side of the child/adult divide to the adult side.. So she's also slowly starting to see just how much care children actually see as a bother, even if it is in their best interest in the long run.

But at least she's not being totally unhelpful here. She's still holding the candy out of the dragon's reach with her other arm, but Alice does say: "I have seen there are raspberries in the storage this month, if you want some. Or chocolate chips."

At least those haven't been meddled with to turn people into dragons!!
