Rezo’s hands slow when Lioriley touches him, going still entirely once the last clasp is in place.

“It was… nice,” Rezo admits, “To be held like that. Wrapped up entirely in your arms.”

He’d felt small, but in a pleasant way. Safe, secure, surrounded by love. And he wonders, or perhaps hopes; is that how she feels when he holds her?

“But I think I also much prefer this. There are certain things I wouldn’t be able to do for you in that body.”

Rezo moves a hand over Lior’s, and the other goes to her waist, gently encouraging her to step even closer.

“If you like,” he murmurs, “I could repay you for scratching behind my ears.”
