Fight Club Time Again (I had requests for it)

Where: Training Gym
When: Day 20
What: The Usual Fight club training. Where people come to spar and practice and learn with each other.
Warnings: Occasional language and violence? Also guns/firearms.

This time Trunks didn't bother to announce the Fight Club over the ICP. Not beyond a short announcement of day and time. The Club was already mentioned in train literature and most people knew about it, or could find out easily.

So instead he did his usual set-up. Marking off an area safely for ranged weapons and fire-arms, ensuring practice weapons and mats were all available. Even making sure there were first aid kids and an 'off-limits' area just for safety. Then, he's there as usual--to supervise, but also to train just like everyone else.

OOC:general set up is 'Ranged area demarcated by cones' 'off limits/healing area demarcated by cones' and the rest of the space covered in mats with training dummies set up

[Nia holds out her hand, and the Catalyst Scimitar materializes.]

It's been way too long since I've actually fought with my own weapon. I'm more used to fighting as a Driver than I am to fighting as a Blade, and that's a problem.

[Nozomi nods at that…]

Sooo, you need to get readjusted using your own fighting style, huh?

[And she’ll transform into Cure Dream, summoning her Cure Fluret sword herself.]

Truth be told, I could use the refresher myself. I hadn’t used this in quite awhile.

Fair warning then, even if it's been a while, I'm not entirely sure I can forget my swordplay. Seems like the sort of thing that'd be stored in my Core Crystal instead of my head.

Fair enough. I’m tough!

Well, let's get started then! Hydro Blast!

[Nia suddenly swings her sword without even trying to close the distance, a razor sharp crescent of water flying out of it towards Nozomi.]

[The blade of Nozomi’s sword glows pink as she blocks the water crescent and knocks it aside.]

My turn!

[And she lunged at Nia, slashing at her.]

[Nia holds her hands out, and a shield formed of a few dozen hexagonal panes of light forms in front of them.]

Neat thing is, that's something any Blade can do. Not this, though! Water Flower!

[Water swirls around the tip of Nia's scimitar as she slams it onto the floor, geysers erupting in a line from the impact.]

Oh, no...!

[Nozomi's going to try to dodge the geysers, but the last one sends her airborne. She's quickly realizing her fatal flaw - she's relied too much on her brute strength.]

Gotta turn this around...!

[And she focuses some of her magic onto her feet and launches herself at Nia]

[Any Blade can make shields, but Nia's aren't as strong as some others. Nozomi's power strike breaks through it, leaving a wound on Nia's side.]

Shit!

[Nia takes a swing at Nozomi as she jumps back, the wound already starting to seal.]

[Nozomi tries to push away from Nia, but her own blade strikes true, cutting her back and some of her hair.]

Ahh!

[Her wound is slower to heal than Nia’s.]

Ach, the hair was an accident. I can fix it, promise.

[Nia's still on her guard. She doesn't really know what Nozomi can do, so she could easily still have plenty of fight left in her.]

[Nozomi turned back and smiled at Nia.]

Then, don’t hold back! If you can mend it, go all out!

[With that, she thrusted her blade out, a beam of energy shooting out from it. She had to get creative now.]

Gah!

[That sends Nia tumbling arse over teakettle, but she manages to land on her feet.]

I'm just saying, some people get touchy about their hair. Not like I'm asking for Redemption.

[A ring of ether pulses out of Nia's sword at that last word, settling into her wounds and restoring her to full health.]

I needed a haircut anyway! Besides, I don’t mind what you do! I’m a big girl!

[She thought something over and nodded.]

Let’s try this! Precure Clamioh Solais!

[And from her blade is a flurry of magical projectiles launched like missiles.]

[Nia sets up another shield, gritting her teeth as the bombardment pierces through.]

Not bad, but you haven't seen anything yet! Redeeming Strike!

[A torrent of water bursts all around Nia, an unavoidable attack. Where the water strikes, Nozomi feels her body weaken as select cells wither at Nia's command. With every impact, the bruises and cuts that Nozomi's attack inflicted on Nia fade away, as if she were stealing her opponent's very lifeforce.]

[Nozomi gasped in pain as Nia’s magic struck home, sapping her strength as she did. She knows she’s done for if she doesn’t act.]

Geh… need a breather…!

ARMOR PURGE!

[And if it works, Nozomi’s costume would glow and burst violently, intending on pushing the water away… and leaving Nozomi vulnerable with a pink aura around her body.]

Yer gonna regret that! Hydro Blast!

[Another crescent of water flies towards Nozomi, though this one is more blunt impact than razor blade.]

[Nozomi crosses her arms in front of her as her old bracers reform on her arms, taking the shot. Her arms are going to be sore later.]

Just need… a little more time! PRECURE DREAM ATTACK!

[And she launches a burst of energy shaped like a pink butterfly at Nia before she focuses on gathering back magic.]

Urgh!

[Nia's bruised and battered once more with that attack, but once again it all fades away with a cry of "Redemption!" She rushes in, attempting to stop Nozomi from powering up again with a slash of her sword.]

Woah!

[It works as Nozomi’s forced to block Nia’s slash with her own sword, struggling to push her back.]

Can’t let you… win here!

Little thing you should know about me: I don't give up! Water Flower!

[Another line of geysers rises up below Nozomi, these also blunted so as to not cause enough damage that Nia would have to resurrect her opponent.]

What the…? No!

[Nozomi can’t escape in time as the geyser hits her from below. The hoops her hair curls into when transformed are pulled out as the geyser pulls her sword and transformation device off of her as she’s pushed away, landing on the ground with a groaning thud.]

Woo-hoo! Nia the Unstoppable wins again! Still, you put up a damn good fight. If I'd tried to fight you as a Driver, I'd probably have lost that.

[Nia's hands glow, healing Nozomi at the very least of the cellular degeneration she inflicted during the fight.]

[Once Nozomi feels the magic healing her, she let out a soft sigh and smiled as she sat up.]

You were off your game at first, but you quickly came back. There was a lot of change there at the end.

Me? I shouldn’t of used that Armor Purge.

Seems like a "high risk high reward" sort of move. Good for if you've got someone to watch your back, not so great in one-on-one.
