Fight Club Time Again (I had requests for it)

What: The Usual Fight club training. Where people come to spar and practice and learn with each other.
Warnings: Occasional language and violence? Also guns/firearms.

This time Trunks didn't bother to announce the Fight Club over the ICP. Not beyond a short announcement of day and time. The Club was already mentioned in train literature and most people knew about it, or could find out easily.

So instead he did his usual set-up. Marking off an area safely for ranged weapons and fire-arms, ensuring practice weapons and mats were all available. Even making sure there were first aid kids and an 'off-limits' area just for safety. Then, he's there as usual--to supervise, but also to train just like everyone else.

OOC:general set up is 'Ranged area demarcated by cones' 'off limits/healing area demarcated by cones' and the rest of the space covered in mats with training dummies set up

The Doctor is wandering the halls of the Train, as usual between the Library, Labs and Dining Cart. After all, Time Lord needs his cup of tea. Between one of these, he goes the wrong way and finds himself staring at equipment. At first, he doesn't make much of it. However, when he spots the firing arms - it clicks. And being the drama king he is, shouts out, "Who's in charge, here?!"

Mister On-Coming Storm has entered and is not happy at all with what he sees.

Trunks looked up and over, and had more than enough experience with tempers, to know when someone was angry. "If you mean who's running the Fight Club, that's me. I took it over after Mr. Rieper left." Nor did Trunks look at all cowed. Instead he just stayed where he was, in a loose stance that was entirely at ease.

This temper-show so far had nothing on either of his parent's-tempers.

The Doctor doesn't move but stares down Trunks. Like a pretender staring down its prey or staring down the enemy on the battlefield.

"Then listen, very clearly. This closes, now."

[Once things settled down a bit, the Doctor might notice Kyoko watching him from a distance. After a few minutes of just silently watching, she finally speaks up.]

So, is it just guns that you've clearly got trauma about, or is it weapons in general? 'Cause if it's the second, I've got bad news about, like, half the train.

[Sometime, after talking to Wash but before running into Leia but after finding the candies in the kitchen. The Doctor hears someone ask him a question, while he's enjoying some of the candies.]

I don't encourage fighting to be the first solution but - sometimes, that has to be the solution.

But - I will never like guns. So, to answer your question, the guns are what gave me the trauma.

After all that happened, The Doctor got talked down, and once he got talked down. He did understand, his rash reaction was bad.

There's at least one forced 'sleep' cycle before Ten goes to seek Cassie out. Which, along the way also finds the candies.

He'll find her in her most frequent hangout spot - the gym. She's hovering above the floor with her eyes shut, clearly focused on meditation.

On the plus side, this means she'll be in a more peaceful and mindful sort of mood. On the minus side, this means he's absolutely going to be interrupting.

After Wash, before Cassie- A cup of tea and a chat

When the Doctor eventually passed through the library later that evening, he'd get the sense that he was being psychically checked out. Nothing intrusive; more the psychic equivalent of a wary animal sniffing someone to get their scent. Looking around the room for the source, he'd find it came not from a person, but from a vaguely feline-looking purple creature sitting at the feet of a petite older woman. Though it looked otherwise relaxed, the tips of its forked tail were sticking straight up, quivering like a tuning fork, and the gem on its head glowed as it regarded him with its large eyes.

After a moment, it seemed satisfied with whatever it had learned, the tips of its tail relaxing and the gem's light fading to a softer glow. It then glanced up at Leia and gave a soft, "Esp."

Leia looked up from her book at the sound, smiling a bit when she spotted the Doctor. "Ah, Doctor," she said. "I saw you on the passenger roster, and was wondering when we'd run into each other. If you're not in a hurry, would you like to sit down and have a cup of tea?" She indicated an empty chair across from her.

The Doctor, does indeed, sense someone telepathically, brushing on top of him. Which is okay, as they aren't probing. However, The Doctor can't tell what they are either. He hasn't felt that sort of vibes before. He does look up and doesn't find a humanoid but rather a strange creature.

"Hallo." The Doctor remarks to the creature, "Are you trying to see if I can be trusted?"

Ten then notices that there is someone humanoid near the creature. Oh, someone else that also recognizes him. It's clear from how he's looking at Leia he doesn't know who she is.

"Yes! Very much so!" The Doctor beams and pops over to the seat.

"You seem to know me. So who are you and who is your friend?"

Vegeta | Red Team | OTA

While it all still feels like a waste of time... Vegeta is still hopefully someone new will come to the train that would prove a challenge. He's been sorely disappointed for a long time now. Ever since Goku left, and even then they rarely had a chance to actually train to their full capacity, not with the restrictions on the train, or being distracted by missions. That idiot just had to leave, didn't he? Before Vegeta could even rub it in his face that he got another form the other didn't have.

Vegeta will be off to the side observing others for part of the session, and training for the rest, either completing his own solo session or taking up the offer to train or spar against others. More for their sake than his, but it's still good to know who could do what, and more importantly, who was improving over the months.

Now that the mess that the Doctor had left behind has been sorted out, Cassie can get back to what she'd been doing before. A few pointers here and there for passengers seeking training and advice, and now, a little venting of frustrations.

It'd been a while since she'd worked the bag - it really can't take what she can dish out anymore. But until a sparring partner shows up, she's gotta vent that frustration on something.

The bag swings wildly, hitting the top of the ceiling. Thankfully, Cassie's catching it before it hits anyone.

Later during tear-down/clean-up

Trunks had kept his eye on Vegeta and Cassie sparring. Both because he wanted to watch, but also just in case something went wrong and he needed to intervene for other people's sake. He was proud of them both, and grateful to his father too. For recognizing, and helping, in his own way.

Trunks had shoved his own frustrations aside and down--because he had a Fight Club to run. Much as he'd love to be right there with Cassie pounding on a target. He'd kept himself very controlled during any spar, because he was locking down his frustration. But it still simmered. Maybe when it was all cleaned up, he'd leave one dummy out and practice on it for a bit.

Sebek has been keeping up with training his body along with studying for school. There's no loss from inaction that Sebek aware of, so he thinks he can hold his own in these fights with or without the baton or his magic pen. He's stronger than a human after all.

He's heard of Vegeta's strength from multiple people, and yet, he's never had a chance to see it in action or test himself against it. Spotting him in the designated Fight Club area, Sebek yells confidently without hesitation, "Vegeta! Spar with me!"

[It's Masumi's JKD practice day today, so she's set up for that in the training car. The dummy she's pulled out is taking her strikes as she goes to town on it, demonstrating her years of practice at the martial art.

That said, she has also brought her sword, just in case she needs to practice that too. Masumi would prefer to focus on one means of self defence per day, but you never know.]

[At this point Yugi had only learned the very basics because he just couldn't ever really bring himself to hurt another, but he has at least learned that really you aren't hurting someone you are more likely using it in defense.]

So, the idea of a "fight club" had gotten his attention, and he was curious. Duo wasn't much of a hand-to-hand fighter, but he didn't mind watching others. But finding that this place was more like a gym and combat practice arena made it even better.

He perused the weapons cabinet, trying to decide what he wanted to work with first. There was a pretty decent selection of firearms, too. He was kind of impressed.

Allen had mostly come as a way to see what others were doing, maybe get an idea or two of what he could practice on. Maybe even find a sparing partner or two.

What Allen never need to decide on was weapon choice, he had already gotten use to the sword that his arm could turn into and just the sword in general. But he was always curious about those who were still looking.

"Find anything that interests you?"

Jake got into a battle with the broccoli in the kitchens that morning, so he's not quite on time for this event. Weirdly, when he arrives, the training weapons aren't in pristine alignment as they normally are.

He can practically hear the Sarge's lectures on weapon safety in his head as he frowns at the mess. You hear me, Peralta? You'd better make damn sure everything's in order or you'll get a taste of Angry Terry. Or...severely disappointed Terry. But you Really don't want to see that one.

So he sets out to carefully check the rack for damage, clean what he can...and only then does he get started, wincing as his first shot hits the very edge of the target.

"...man. Guess I'm pretty out of practice."

"Nor can practice be rushed," Ple Two says quietly, going over the weapons herself - having heard about a bit of a commotion. For all that she can relate to having trauma... to not having a good release valve for it...

"Still wanted to say it, Cas." Trunks said, squeezing her hand. "And I'm still pissed off too. But the way he was reacting--anger wasn't going to help."

[Nia arrived pretty early, but then the thing with the Doctor happened and she wasn't going near that drama with a ten foot pole. She does, however, make a mental note to never let him meet a Blade with an ether cannon.]

Well, now that that's over, I could use a few faces to bash in. Hate to say it, but I'm a bit rusty with my own sword.

Aelienor Estienie (Purple)

Fight Club definitely sounded like Aelienor's idea of a good time. While she didn't have the equipment for her favored fighting style, she did have her carbuncle curled around her shoulders, and a book strapped to her hip. The small familiar seemed comfortable as she looked over the available weapons and grabbed one of the larger swords. It felt light in her hands, a few ilms short of the greatswords she was used to, but it was good enough. Certainly better than scouring people with magic.

Not that she wasn't going to give her carbuncle some exercise. Her summons would likely utterly destroy the targets, but more simple offensive spells, cast by tracing over lines in her book with an enchanted quill, could be pulled down to just scorch the training equipment as she practiced her aim, with the carbuncle doing forward flips to launch its own magical blasts. Her archery got some time as well, with her firing arrows impossibly fast, somehow even quickly enough to spray an entire cone in front of her. Of course, seeing as she immediately has to trudge over to the target area and collect her arrows, that particular move might not be ideal with an ordinary sized quiver.

Rapunzel | OTA

Rapunzel didn't understand what had been going on before she had even arrived but she wasn't one to ask or bother people about stuff like that. Instead she had arrived with what appeared to be a frying pan she got fro the kitchen. Pascal sitting on her shoulder as she soon held it up like a swordsman would their own weapon.

"Ladies and gentleman, who here will spar with it. You can use any weapon. I just need to practice. I will also be happy to teach should anyone be interested"
