Fight Club Time Again (I had requests for it)

When: Day 20
What: The Usual Fight club training. Where people come to spar and practice and learn with each other.
Warnings: Occasional language and violence? Also guns/firearms.

This time Trunks didn't bother to announce the Fight Club over the ICP. Not beyond a short announcement of day and time. The Club was already mentioned in train literature and most people knew about it, or could find out easily.

So instead he did his usual set-up. Marking off an area safely for ranged weapons and fire-arms, ensuring practice weapons and mats were all available. Even making sure there were first aid kids and an 'off-limits' area just for safety. Then, he's there as usual--to supervise, but also to train just like everyone else.

OOC:general set up is 'Ranged area demarcated by cones' 'off limits/healing area demarcated by cones' and the rest of the space covered in mats with training dummies set up

"...well, no, I get it. I know a lot of people get freaked out, have bad memories."

He closes his eyes briefly, thinking of some tough cases he worked with back home.

"But training usually implies we're gonna have a range, right? Geez. I...know it's not the most fun thing to have to do, but we're in a lot of danger. Like. All the time."

He gently picks up a discarded pole from one of the racks and sets it straight.

"The wiser decision would be to remove oneself from a situation like that, but when you feel... morally justified..." Well, once you've decided you know better, you can make yourself do far worse than just messing up a firing range a bit.

"Morally superior to us peons doing the dirty work, you mean?" Jake quips with a little shake of his head. He doesn't know exactly who might've done this...if he did, he'd be in for a bit of a shock to be sure.

Ple Two snorts. "Us mere mortals need weapons just to get by."

"Unless you were lucky enough to get laser eyes, or bitten by a radioactive spider..." Jake snorts and shakes his head. "Even with my gun I'm nothing compared to most of these guys. Happy to do the smaller stuff....but it at least gives me a chance if I run into something that's not so big and deadly, you know?"

He finishes straightening his section and rolls his shoulders, preparing to do some training after all. "We're just doing our best. That's all."

[pleple]

"Even I've got some special abilities, but..." she nods down at herself. "Nothing that makes up for being as young as I am, as well as being properly equipped."

"Hey. We're all just trying our best here while things try to kill us," Jake says with a little sad smile. "which means. We should probably not be trying to kill each other by making a mess of the weapons. Everybody thinks they're an action star. I mean. I've done it too, but..."

He snorts and shakes his head. "There's a line."

"Ugh, right? I've still managed to avoid getting... hurt like that." 'killed' isn't really the proper term? Is it? When you don't... stay killed?
