Who: Danny and Anyone
What: Danny realizes that yes, he did just give up on having a secret identity here. 
When: Catfish Day 12, Shortly after the bonus mission returns
Where: Luggage Car

While on the mission, Danny had given up the pretense of being a normal human and transformed in front of everyone. At the time he was convinced that there was no other choice. And there had been so many things to do, so many things to worry about, that he hadn't had time to think through the consequences of what he'd done.

He had time to think about it now.

Which was why he'd fled to the first place he could think of to be alone as he rapidly descended into a state of panic over what he had done.

"My two best friends." His only friends, to be perfectly honest. "And my sister knows."

They were all great and he wouldn't trade them for anything... But there was only so much they could help.

"I know how much having friends you can rely on helps." Raven agreed with a small smile. "Even if it doesn't fix everything, it does help..." With a bit of her own sadness. Drawing her knees up, Raven wrapped her arms around them, leaning on them while looking at Danny.

"I still really don't think you need to worry about anyone hunting you on this train, Danny. Not from what I've seen---and I know that only does so much to help the panic. That kind of feeling is....hard to shake." Then she turned her gaze down a bit. "Even if I wasn't an Empath, I know that kind of panic. I've been hunted before too."

"I know everyone keeps saying that, and nothing has happened yet." He grimaces. "It's just... Last time my identity got revealed in public I ended up getting chased halfway across the country by a government agency that wanted to experiment on me. I guess I'm just still waiting for the other shoe to drop here."

"I know that kind of worry too." Raven agreed softly. "I can tell you that if anyone does show up here looking to try and hunt or experiment on you, they'll have a lot of us to get through first." Turning her head to look at him. "You're definitely not the only person on this train with weird powers, nor even the only teen as well. I'm pretty sure the others would tell you the same thing, but I can't and won't speak for them with any certainty."

Another pause, Raven trying to figure out how to phrase things, what to phrase, and what she wanted to say at all. "I can speak for myself though, and I promise anyone who tries to hunt you or experiment on you or anything--for being half-ghost and having powers? They'll be going through me."

"Is it weird that I am both relieved to have some kind of backup and also really not wanting anyone to actually get hurt trying to help me?"

He rubs at the back of his head. "I know, I've met some of them. Its just kind of hard to get my head around it honestly. Guess I'm too used to being the local weird thing."

That brought a small, soft, laugh. " It's not weird Danny, it means you have a good heart." There might've been a shy smile lurking around her mouth.

"You're on a train of 'local weird things'--so that alone isn't unusual anymore." That might've been her attempt at teasing, too. In a reassuring manner.
