What: Peter got a bunch of people sick There's a cold/flu going around. Oh no!

When: Day 1-4 of Domino


[ If you find yourself coughing or sneezing or with flu/cold like symptoms come on down to the game car. There's cushy beanbags, games and probably soup. ]

[ You'll still be miserable but at least you'll have games and soup. ]

[ Guess who is too sick to make a web-hammock to sleep in, and guess who finally admits that she is in fact a germy, gross, hot mess?

Still not this girl! Not that she'll admit.

She has a bowl of Evie's soup nearby, and she's eaten...some of it. It's damn good soup, but Gwen is not in the mood. Instead, she's plugged her iPhone into the wall and has propped it up on some books.

She's taken over one of the beanbag chairs and has a blanket over her head as she's stretched out on her stomach, watching Warm Bodies.

Come bother. Expect crabbiness. Except maybe Peter or Miles. ]

Conan - OTA

[ Conan is wrapped up in every blanket he could find and several chapters into his tenth re-read of The Complete Almost Sherlock Holmes. There is a bowl of soup and a mug of tea growing cold beside him.

Bother at your own risk. ]

On the first day of Domino, a stupid Spider-Boy gave to me...

...the train plague.

Joscelin is dead, thank you very much. He died of the real plague 670 years ago, give or take. He can’t get sick. The only times he’s ever been remotely this unwell were when his body was fighting back against poison, or he accidentally overexerted himself in a magical healing situation (don’t ask). Not like this.

He wakes up on the second day of Domino feeling a little achey and tired, and by dinner time that evening his voice won’t go above a hoarse croak. He goes to bed early that night but sleeps badly, waking himself up with a cough or plugged sinuses.

By the next morning, his fever is so high that he actually has a temperature: his normally cool skin actually feels like warm to the touch. His head is pounding.

“I don’t get sick,” he protests to whoever will listen. “I can’t get sick. I’m not even alive!”

Princess- OTA

By day two, Princess has been relegated to quarantine and is a (miserable) ball of pink. Eva feels bad, but given there's no pokemon centre she can take him to...

It's for the best.

Not that Princess shows it, by the way he hops about, steals laps (Yes, any open lap will do) and tries to con people into feeding him, but there's telltale signs: the way his wings are held tight against his back, the tighter than normal curl of his tail, the way in which he curls up.

The sneezes here and there.

Sure he's stealing your lap, but it's less because he can and more because he's sick and miserable.

Miles - OTA

[ It is most certainly all Peter's fault. Miles is unhappily in the game car and he feels awful. Being sick just makes him homesick for his mom. The soup on the train has nothing on hers, of course and what kid doesn't just want their mom when they feel like death incarnate.

So, he's claimed one of the beanbags and alternates between drawing and playing games and pushing a spoon around soup without ever actually eating anything.

Excuse him while he dramatically feels like he's dying. ]

Gwen has an open lap and got Princess his own bowl of soup. The noodles are handmade. The soup is awesome. Gwen is willing to help feed Princess.

She's watching old videos of herself playing the drums, not because she wants to? But because she hit a playlist expecting one thing, got this, and is just leaving it.

Whatever. She doesn't care. Just eat your dang soup, Princess.

[ Why doesn't he feel any better by day two? What happened to his speedy metabolism that burned through these things? He coughs harshly, groaning about how much this sucks. He's laid out on his stomach next to her but his head is down and he's only listening to the movie. ]

Why can't cold medicine work for us?

[ He asks, voice sounding weak and pitiful. Someone's been talking too much. ]

[ Look, he can't help it that he got sick and they happen to share a room. ]

Wanna like.. play connect four or something?

[ he asks from where he's laying on a beanbag and just staring at the ceiling. A big problem Peter has is that even if he's sick he hates staying still for too long. ]

[ That...Gwen. What the hell?

Don't mind her. She is in a mood. She will apologize in a couple days. For now, R is beating the shit out of some Boneys and Gwen is trying to curl up in as small a Gwen-ball as possible.

It's not really comfortable. At all. But she's going to try. Maybe if she made her already small self even smaller, the cold germs won't find her?

No, that's not her serious logic. What her serious logic is consists of her thinking 'i feel like shit. i want my dad and to not feel like shit.'. ]

Do we have people on board that can come up with something for us? For, Non-existent God Forbid, in case this happens again?

[ Peter nods in agreements. Sounds like pretty legit reasoning to him. ]

I don't know.. maybe Mr Stark could but I think Banner actually made like- [ He coughs, not bothering to cover his mouth because he's laying down. ]

all the medicines.

wonder if there's like.. an Asgardian cold medicine.

[ Peter frowns in Conan's direction because he really feels bad about getting him sick. He should have just accepted that maybe Spider-Man does get sick. ]

Probably? But that implies Asgardians get colds. Is that possible?

[ This movie is irritating her. It's her favorite and she's not here for the lovestruck zombie in a hoodie. So she turns it off and instead scrolls through her own personal videos, finding one of herself drumming. She hasn't shown these to Peter yet. Maybe it'll cheer him up?

It's her having a grand old time drumming to Bohemian Rhapsody. She's a year younger. Her hair is longer. And she's grinning. ]

Here. Told you I'd share, right? Maybe being happy will help us not want to die from whatever hellscape cold this is.

Peter sniffles from a nearby beanbag chair. He's got a book in hand, another chemistry book by the look at it and is more squinting at the words rather than actually reading them.

"I have a super metabolism. I'm not supposed to get sick. My metabolism is supposed to burn through it." That's not really how that works but never mind that.

I don't know, I'll ask Thor when I finally get to meet him. Are we even sure it's a cold? I think it might be the flu, I kinda threw up on Mr Stark last night.

[ he says, voice screechy and muffled from how he's laying. He hears her shifting and looks up to see her turning the movie off and then going her personal videos. It at least puts a small smile on his face and got him to lift his head. ]

[ And why does there even need to be an again there? ]

Man, I bet he wasn't happy about that.

[ Conan glowers blearily at him. Fevers did not make for convincing intimidating expressions. ]

Just promise that next time you'll go into quarantine before you infect half the train.

[ Yeah, he deserves that. He really shouldn't have been so stubborn about it. ]

Y-yeah, promise. but in my defense, Captain America can't get sick!

He's-He's actually around here somewhere.

But Steve Rogers- [ he needs a minute to cough, please hold. ] -He's the original super soldier-he was given a serum that gave him super powers and like this insane immune system and metabolism so he can never get sick and I read once- [ Hold on, coughing again. ] -he used to have Asthma-which I did too and the spider bit healed that.

[ he mumbles miserably, resting his chin on his hands so he can watch the video. ]

[ That miserable tone isn't going to work for Gwen, so she peeks out of the blanket, carefully wraps an arm around his waist and then buries her face in his chest. ]

We should be okay soon, right?

[ he curls in a little closer, if they weren't both super sick, he might have even kissed her but there are people around and they're both super sick. ]

Non-existent god, I hope so.

[ cough. ]

Yeah. We'll be fine. This'll blow over soon.

[ That's fine, Peter. She's not in a kissy mood. She's barely in a snuggly mood. This is the most she wants. ]

How's the video? Which one are you on?

[ There's a dance video after the drumming one. One of a routine she's practiced for a good, long while, set to Unsteady by X Ambassadors. And some of her and her brothers having water balloon fights or massive food fights in the back yard. ]
