Who: Conan and Anyone
What: Concussion recovery time. Which means quiet and rest. And so much boredom.
Where: Cabin 1B, Possibly other places
When:Domino 13-15
Domino 13 and 14:
Conan had studied first aid and emergency medical care. He fully understood why he needed to rest his body and mind. Why he really shouldn't even read for the first two days after a concussion.
Unfortunately resting his brain meant that practically everything he liked to do was out of the question. No reading, no solving puzzles or playing strategy games or doing anything to occupy his mind. And the lingering headache and dizziness wasn't helping matters.
Leaning back against the pillow on his bunk, Conan stares up at the ceiling in mind-numbing boredom and wonders if he should try to make another attempt at sleeping.
Domino 15:
Two days in, and he was finally starting to feel more like himself. Picking his moment, Conan slides out of the bunk and slips out into the hallway. If he was quick about it maybe he could have a change of scenery for a short time before someone realized he was still supposed to be resting.

Domino 15
She could tell where Conan was probably going--he couldn't handle sitting any more, so she waved a hand. "I was on my way to read to you again, but I've got enough healing knowledge--if you don't overdo it, you can go for a little walk. I'll cover for you." And escort him, too, so that no one would march him back to bed. At least, not before he was ready to go.
"So it's been a moment, former roommate. Save for the noggin bump, how have you been?"
Re: Domino 15
But he gives her a genuine smile at the offer. "Thanks. I just wanted to get out, even if its just a few minutes. I promise not to overdo it."
A shrug. "I guess I've been okay. Not much has really changed since the room swap."

"Oh, I brought you something, too. I figure you'll be up and around sooner rather than later, but just in case you aren't--" Yes, that was a disgustingly pink-frosted heart cookie she was offering...
"If you're not allowed to read yet, I could always read something to you. Or I could bring my harp and play or tell you stories from my world. Anything to alleviate the tedium, right?"

And that brings a laugh out of him. It was terribly pink. He takes it into his hands. "I'll eat it later. I'm not really hungry right now."
He nods. "Any of that would be nice. I'm not allowed to read anything yet, but I think I could listen."

"That's fine, no need to stuff yourself, especially when laid up. Isn't that supposed to make you fat, or some such nonsense?" Honestly, Sarai felt that Conan could use a little bit extra flesh on his bones, but she wasn't about to say so.

After that, well. All he could do was show up and keep the boy company. So he did just that, making himself as comfortable as a guy his size could.
"Feeling any better?"

Conan had not been impressed so far. Although he suspected that his concussion was improving slightly faster than it would have normally.

He'd stayed there for two days already.

"Nah. I'm just here to make sure you don't do anything stupid. Could be worse! Hattori and I are trading shifts."

Day 14
Wei Ying is at least trying to be quiet and mindful of a bruised brain. "Maybe it won't work on you for some reason, but it can't hurt!"

Anyway, that first day was mostly him peeking in to make sure Conan was sleeping or if he needed something. He didn't linger since he knew his friend shouldn't be engaging his mind, which included conversation. However, the second day he could tell his friend was getting restless.
Coming into the room, he had a small tray with a bowl of ramen noodles with some vegetables and a soft boiled egg and a glass of milk. "Hey Kudo," he said in a quieter tone than usual. "You feeling up to some lunch?"

He moved the bedside table over so it was over Conan's lap and set the tray on top of it. "How's the head?"
no subject
"Better," he says. "Please tell me you've brought something to do." The boredom was starting to drive him crazy.

Domino 13
"Yo, Conan-kun, you hungry? I read somewhere that protein's good for your brain, so I made eggs--crap, do you have any allergies?" He should have asked that before cooking, whoops.
Re: Domino 13
"Eggs sounds good actually. I don't think I'm allergic to anything." His gaze catches on Reigen's cast. "Is your leg okay?"

"Oh, this thing? Yeah, I got tossed around when that ice maze fell apart before, but it's healing fine!"
no subject
He'd missed most of what happened at the end of the ice maze.
