Who: Gwen, Peter and YOU
What:Gwen and Peter are asking for help to set up a party. With posters.
Where:Throughout the Train
When: Morning Day 23
After chores are done, Gwen and Peter set about on a very important task. The last few days on the train have been, in a word, bullshit. And both Spider-Teens have decided that another party is what the train needs. But they refuse to be the only two setting this thing up, so they're busy enlisting help.
Via posters that Gwen spent three days working on. It's in black and white, sure, because Gwen refuses to spend points on anything in the store. She's saving them for something. But the detail on it shows Gwen absolutely knows what she's doing when it comes to art.
And the poster is simple. Just balloons, musical notes, pictures of people dancing and having a great time. Peter was amazing and did the lettering. It was a beautiful team effort, probably with a lot of giggling and everyone's favorite Spider-Couple being ridiculous about it.
They're stuck up in random places throughout the train. On sleeper cabin doors, on random walls, even on the wall between the engine and the rest of the train. But not the luggage car door. It still smells too much for Gwen to go near it.
And should anyone stop to read said posters? They say the following:
WANTED! YOU! YES, YOU!
It's time for another train party!
And for that, we need people to help with the following;
Decorations!
Food!
Refreshments! (no alcohol, sorry)
Music is covered. If you feel the need to volunteer please see Gwen Stacy or Peter Parker. Thanks!
That's it. That's the poster. Someone volunteer as tribute, Gwen spent three days hand-drawing every single one of these things.

Party Prep.
Peter's sitting on her bunk with his legs crossed and laptop sitting on on his lap as he works on their collaborative playlist. He had a bit of a rough time after the dream/nightmare thing but somehow, he's bounced back and now laughing and smiling again as he plans what songs should go on the Party Play list. Which he definitely named 'Party Music for Party People and Party Spiders.
"So obviously, we have to put Radioactive on here." He gives her one of his looks like 'those are just the rules.'
{ B. In the Gym. }
Peter's seated on the ground of the gym with his laptop. He's messing with some of the music on it and drinking a can of monster. He clicks play on the screen and then hops up and just casually strolls to the other end of the gym.
"Oh." He suddenly realizes his problem-he has super hearing, of course he can still hear the music. He shakes his head at his own stupidity and then ducks his head out of the gym to flag down the nearest person. "Hey, c'mere, please? I need you test something for me-nothing bad, I just need to know the sound range of my Laptop."
{ C. Distracted Spider. }
Peter's still in the gym but he might have gotten distracted and is now playing Portal.
In the Gym
"Music for what?" He asked. However, just as he got close, he spotted one of the posters. Reading over it, he looked very interested until toward the end where he scowled at it. "I'm bringing booze and you can't stop me. But I'll also let you use my speaker I made. I made it out of a bucket."
He continued into the room and looked around. "I can barely hear that and this place is empty."
no subject
"Now?" He pauses though as Tony's offer registers and a huge grin over takes his focused expression. "Oh my god, really? That's so awesome-can you teach me how to do that?" If Tony wasn't expecting Peter to get really excited about that then he doesn't know this kid well at all.
"Actually, Mr Stark. Can I maybe borrow your laptop? You can be right here with me, if you want, but I just wanna blue tooth some of your music to my laptop... if that's okay. So that, you know, there's music you like too?"
no subject
"Sure, go ahead," Tony agreed, still slightly distracted. "And.. not just because of the song.." It was totally because of the song. "But. you know how much you mean to me right, kid?"
no subject
"'Cause I'm top of the world hey! I'm on top of the world hey! Been waiting on this for a while now...♪" He's even singing softly as he works on getting the music up a little more.
"He looks up at Tony's response, a smile on his face that falters a moment as he takes in what Tony just said. This sounds like a loaded question, but never the less, he smiles again. "Love you too, Mr Stark." He tells him.
no subject
Whatever dark or heavy place his mind was, Peter's response to it makes him smile and pull free of it. He breathes a small laugh and looks down at.. well, nothing. This was another good example of why he always liked having things to do to keep his hands busy. It also gave him an excuse to look elsewhere.
Although it makes him think of the other weirdness (good weird) going on in his life. "I'll go get the speaker so we can figure out the best volume with that and my laptop.. but, uh. I need to talk to you about something. It's not a bad something, okay? Just.. I'm not all that sure how this is going to work here, but I gave Ignis my ring. We're.. engaged, sort of."
no subject
"Aww, that's adorable." He flashes a smile at his mentor in a slightly teasing way. Just don't mention anything about him needing to give Gwen a ring and he won't flip out and die of embarrassment. Although he might at the next song that plays. It's only on there because it's fun. He doesn't mean anything by it, honest!
"Uh... what's up Mr Stark?" He decides to skip the song to the next one.
no subject
The song that started caught his attention and he rolled his eyes. "Did you write that song?"
He comes over and takes a look at his playlist. He was impressed by the number of AC/DC songs and other good ones. "The other thing that's going on is.. this wasn't my idea but.. Ignis and I are taking steps to formally adopt Madoka." He looks at Peter unsure of his reaction. "Again, I'm not completely sure how that works out while being here in 'captivity'. But.. since we're doing that with her, I was wondering.. your aunt is here but I know I've acted like a dad to you too. But.. it's up to you. I mean, it won't change what we already have but if you want I can also do that with you."
no subject
He looks up again as Tony mentions the whole adopting Madoka thing and he almost chimes in with a comment about how he'd always wanted a little sister but he doesn't because of Tony's next words. There's a bit of a pit in the bottom of his stomach. Sure, he'd love to be able to call Tony Stark his dad-although he still prefers Mr Stark since that's just kinda his thing.
"Oh..." He falters, realising he should probably answer. "I um... I don't know." He admits, starting to fidget with anxiety. "I just... um... I think you'd have to talk to May, about that but I uh... I kinda keep hoping Ben will come back. Or maybe even my real-I mean, that's not to say I don't think of you as my real dad but-you get what I'm saying right?"
no subject
He watched as Peter stuttered and started getting nervous over the question. Tony sat down next to the young man and put his hand on his shoulder. "Hey, hey, slow down. It's okay. My feelings for you are never going to change, ever. You're still my number one and my idiot intern, okay?" He offered a small, gentle smile at that little tease. "I get it and I know it has nothing to do with me. I just needed to ask you, okay? You deserved the invitation even if that's just not us. We're friends and you can still come annoy me whenever you need to just like you do now. I didn't want you to hear about Madoka and get jealous or feel bad that I didn't ask you. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that your parents and uncle Ben will be on the next platform, okay? We just never know here."
no subject
"So.... did you know, I've always wanted a little sister." He says, saying the words out loud though, seem to help release the guilt a little.
"...I'm still your kid, right? Like.. you'll still claim me?"
no subject
He noticed the difference in Peter's expression, but he was hoping he could get the sparkle back in his eyes. It was a heavy topic but they'd navigated well enough, he thought. "No, I didn't know that. And now you sort of have two. Madoka and Buttercup," Tony answered with a smile of his own.
At the question, he rolled his eyes playfully and then pulled the kid in to a hug. "Of course. Besides, it's not like I have any choice in the matter," he joked and ruffled Peter's hair (which he knew the kid just loved). "You're not going to Rick Roll us again are you?"
no subject
"Waugh! Mr Stark!" Peter lets out, laughing a little as he's pulled into the hug. He can't really do much about the hair ruffle besides make a face. And then, at that last question he laughs hard and reaches for the screen-trying to press play on 'Never Gonna Give you Up' instead, he hits the Pokemon Theme. Of course he has it on his computer, why wouldn't he?
"Do you wanna be the Very best, Mr Stark? Like no one ever was?" He asks through a laugh.
no subject
"What the.." He groans and put a hand over his face. What fresh hell was this? "Your real super power, is being ridiculously annoying!" He accused and then tried again to get a different song on.
He gave Peter such a weird look as the song started to play. "You have Spice Girls?!"
no subject
"I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was~ To catch them is my rea-Aww." Peter frowns as Tony changes it. "Annoying? I'll have you know that song is a bop, Mr Stark." He looks completely unapologetic. The next song starts and he just shrugs.
"May loves the Spice Girls-uh don't tell her I told you though-they're like her guilty pleasure."
Re: Party Prep.
"Oh...Renegades by X Ambassadors is a good one, too."
no subject
"Uh... what about like actual Party songs? Should we subject people to things like Cotton-Eyed-Joe, Electric slide, YMCA... or... I'm gonna pretend I don't have the Chicken Dance on my computer." He decides, shaking his head. What made him want to download that he has no idea. "Ooh! What about like... the Star Wars theme?"
no subject
Let's be semi-reasonable spider-idiots, Peter.
"...maybe? Hard maybe."
She leans in to look at his list for a moment, turning back to her phone to scroll through.
"I have a metal cover of Baby Shark."
no subject
"...I'm adding them." He decides before throwing them on the playlist. He freezes a moment, eyes going wide at her statement and looking over at her like the mischievous spider-kid he actually is.
"Send it." he says excitedly. "Actually, play it. I wanna hear that."
He clicks through more music, looking for more there are actual dance moves to. Does he have the Macarena? Yes! Added to the list along with the Cha Cha slide and the Cupid Shuffle.
C: distracted spider.
Peter, somehow, reminds her of Carlos. All high energy, thinking and doing a million things at once. Even when he's sitting at his laptop doing nothing, there were still reminders of her brother back home.
She tilts her head to look at what he's playing and it's a game she's never seen. ]
Okay, what is this game and how is it played? And do you still need volunteers for food for your party?
Re: C: distracted spider.
You're everything I need and more, baby it's written all over your face♪
[ He pauses as he realises he's not alone and his cheeks flush a little. ]
Huh? Oh yeah. You solve puzzles by making portals. And yeah, yeah we do-Part of the reason I'm in here is for volunteers.
[ Not because he got distracted playing video games and singing along to Beyonce. ]
Re: C: distracted spider.
You better dance with Gwen to this song at the party, otherwise I'm going to be very disappointed in you.
[ Okay, maybe some light teasing. Just a bit. Also? Don't mind her sitting on the floor nearby. ]
What a coincidence. The reason I'm here is to volunteer. What kind of foods were you thinking?
no subject
Um. there's a bunch I have on here, that remind me of her... [ Wait. that's not the point of this! He gives his head a shake and fires a orange Portal at the ground by a turret so it falls over. ]
Oh! Uh.. like Party foods, you know like uh... veggie platters, fruit platters, chips and stuff. Maybe little triangle sandwiches? Just finger food stuff.
no subject
[ She can spot this shit a mile away, Peter. And she loves seeing it. ]
Triangle sandwiches. I can manage those. And I can fry some potato chips for this. Any flavor preferences for any of that?
no subject
[ he's not too sure what to say to that but he'll accept it if they become the train's favorite couple. ]
Uh... not really, if you can make like... dip or something that'd be cool.
C:
So the small bipedal droid stops nearby and leans in a bit to look at the laptop. Of course, a bit here means he is most likely in the way and doesn't realize it.
It'll take him a moment to, a quick glance at Peter's hands on the keys and then the droid follows Peter's arms up to his face where, looking from Peter back to the screen and then back to Peter, he beeps out something that sounds like it could be an apology and steps out of the way, still watching the screen carefully and with much interest.
no subject
"I knew you were trouble when you walked in~♪" He sings. ""So shame on me now~♪" He pauses his singing as his game is suddenly interrupted and he blinks curiously at it, unable to help it when he automatically responds to the beeping. "It's cool."
"Wait! No! Shit!" He yelps at the screen as a turret roast poor Chell. "Aww..."
no subject
About this time, Cal arrives and, watching what his droid is doing, he heads over and has his own apologetic look on his slightly scarred face.
"He's not interrupting anything, is he? He's still very curious about everything on the train. I blinked and he was gone."
no subject
"Hm? Oh no. Really, it's okay. I've already beat this game like five times-I was just b-" He stops and glances suspiciously from one end of the gym car to the other to make sure Tony wasn't around. "I was just bored." He states.
C.
"Peter?" she calls out as she approaches him.
no subject
"Hm?" He looks up, barely, from his game. "I'm here-just uh.. playing Portal. What's up, Aunt May?"

He had seen the posters and he thought that having another train party was a really good idea! Especially since those dreams had been strange and some were pretty scary! A party would be perfect to bring everyone's spirits up!
"I saw your poster for help! I can help!"
no subject
"Oh, yeah? Okay, tell me what you got, kiddo, because we could use all the help we can get."
no subject
He says it all in practically one breath, and grins at her. He is willing and ready to help!
no subject
"Okay. Yeah. Why not? We can get a few people together to help out with cooking. Sounds good."
no subject
"I'm sure mister Ignis will want to help!" He told her, "Madoka too! She's really good at art so I bet she will make really good decorations!"
