The Great Voidtrecker Bakeoff!
Who: Romeo, Kumoko and YOU. Mingle around!
Where: Kitchen
When: Day 24 of month Domino
What: Ice cream party! Come help make and eat ice cream parfait!
Warnings:
Those dreams had been scary and Romeo could tell that peoples spirits had been low the last few days. So now was obviously the right time to check out the boxes for making ice cream parfait that they had bought.
All the ingredients were set out for berry gelate, ganache and marshmallow parfait and chocolate, banana and waffle parfait!
He figures they don't need to make them exactly right, they can mix them up. There is lots of ice cream! Well powder that you add cream to and freeze. Which is what he is doing now.
There's plenty to do to help! Cut banana, break up chocolate, make ganache! The ice cream will be ready once it has frozen!
Anyone entering the kitchen will get a huge grin off Romeo. It's a bit of a mess. They will clean up after he promises!
"Come join our ice cream making! Um... Do you know how to measure things, miss Spider?"

Hmm. Can't fit in the showers here, can she? Okay, maybe she needs to be a little more careful.
Whoops, that was cream all over whoever's standing next to her.

We got to get to five hundred mililitres!"
He thinks he knows which mark that is!
no subject
Another leg reaches up to tap the right part for him.
no subject
"Okay! That's it!" He beamed at her. "Now we got to add the powder. Do we do chocolate or strawberry first?"
no subject
Stared.
There was a giant spider, a small boy, and a mess in the kitchen. What else was he supposed to do? His expression remained as blank as ever but if there was ever a time for the hitman to feel exasperated this might be the time.
Without a word, he walked over to one of the kitchen countertops and picked up a rag, wet it, and started wiping down some of the mess. He listened to the spider and boy talk about the parfait mixing ingredients.
"Strawberry." He side eyes them for a moment. "Are you having trouble?" Because it certainly looked that way to him. And if he was going to be in here he might as well input his opinion. Even if it was highly unprecedented.

OTA!
But somehow she expected things to be a little... neater? Which, given that two of the participants were a kid and a spider, might have been asking a lot.
So, fighting the urge to shake her head throughout, she quietly washed her hands elsewhere before returning to the kitchen to pick up on those instructions.
After that, she'd settle for making ganache.
And keeping the cream from getting on the floor.

He's pretty sure if mister Jakob saw the state of the kitchen right now he would be very mad, but he hadn't thought about how tricky it would be to make ice cream with a spider.
It's fun though!
no subject
"I was invited. By a pretty neat kid, even. Seemed wrong to turn down having fun making ice cream, y'know?"
She kept her hands in motion; the ganache wasn't properly mixed yet.
"Might even have enough for the whole train, if we don't eat the ingredients!"
Which admittedly she hasn't seen happen yet, but who knew where this could go?
no subject
And they won't be huge if they eat all the ingredients first!
"Have you had parfait before, miss Nita?"
no subject
"I've had ice cream, but not all fancy like this."
Which is a shame!
"How about you, Romeo?"

wrap?
Indeed! Thank you muchly for the thread.
OPEN
"This is good."
She spoke with her mouth half full. Hopefully it was okay to focus on eating than it was building.
no subject
If you eat it all you won't have a huge parfait!
no subject
All the while, she's still munching on the sweet toppings.
no subject
And there would be enough for everyone to share!
no subject
This shouldn't be that hard.
"Maybe I shouldn't have come here hungry. Is there other snack food?"

"Hello Ple Two! Do you want to come make ice cream? It's really fun and we are going to have tasty parfait!"
no subject
"...I might want to try."
no subject
Because that was the most tricky part, really!

Wrap?
Sure!
end of the bake-off
“Hello- the dishwasher is overloaded.”
(But she’s not wrong- because gratuitous amounts of ice-cream probably isn’t good for mechanical parts and the dishwater is blinking a sad red light. Fun fact: get SXT-2 to open the dishwasher for you if you want to see a
disastrouscool party trick.)Re: end of the bake-off
Oh? The dishwasher? He goes over and blinks back at the red light. "Oh... Um... Do you know how to fix it miss?"
She sounds like a miss, even if she is mostly wings and metal! Always best to be polite.
no subject
“The dishwashing cycle is unable to proceed as the drainage pipe is clogged,” SXT-2 explains, and overrides the dishwasher’s stalled systems. The dishwasher door springs open with a THUD and warm soapy water bubbles out onto the floor.
Weirdly, SXT-2 herself startles from the event- she lets out a short screech and attempts to hop to some perch away from this noise, except of course no such thing exists. She just hits the cabin walls instead.
Oops I had her shorter in my head
Or... Not help as the dishwasher sprang open and water went everywhere! Oops!
Also the creature had bashed into the wall! Romeo rushed over to her, sloshing soapy water everywhere.
"Are you okay? Did the water hurt you?"
He knows you aren't meant to put some machines in water and she is at least a bit like a machine, even if she has lots of feathers!

She's fine! She's just got to work out the spooks. It just looks really unsettling, with the feathers writhing around. She reaches up and back and combs through the mass a bit, as if preening.
