{ Dining Car - Mornings }
Peter misses breakfast prep as he'd done the other week but he'll be around for lunch and dinner. In the mornings he makes his way into the dinning car for breakfast by late morning. He's a mess-his hair is uncombed, he's still in his pajamas and not bothering to wear socks or shoes. He puts entirely too much sugar in his coffee but the train still doesn't have energy drinks and he's gotta wake up somehow so a whole lot of sugar-coated caffeine it is.
He lets out long yawn and rubs at his face before taking a drink of of his coffee flavored sugar and then lays his head on the table, in a matter of minutes he's dozing lightly. Feel free to wake him.
{ Dining Car - Afternoon }
Peter's got a deck of cards to keep him entertained while they're on the train for who knows how long again. He gets bored easily so as a way to pass the time he's just sitting up in the dining car playing solitaire. He frowns at some of the face cards because they're not your typical King, Queen and Jack. He might be reading too much into it, but do these cards provide some kind of clue as to who put them on this train.
"Boiler man..." He turns the card over. Is there another part of the train they haven't gotten to? These cards suggest there's a driver and a conductor and here they were all thinking they were one and the same. "...Where would be boiler be? Near the engine?"
{ Dressing Car - Afternoon after lunch }
Having eaten plenty for lunch, Peter can be found in the dressing car in hammock made out of his webfluid. Not the best use of his webshooters when he's only got so much fluid left but he missed his hammocks. He's up in a corner of the ceiling, one leg hanging off the side as he reads a book. It's a lot better than he'd expected it to be but then again, maybe he should judge books just because some weird train store gave it to him as a random book.
{ Tony's Work Space - Later afternoon (Might Feature Tony Stark himself!) }
After a nice nap in his web hammock, Peter's made his way to the car Tony's taken over. He's not allowed in the work space without Tony being present-not since the incident back home so Tony himself is somewhere in the room while Peter tried to work on a new web fluid.
He's got his tongue sticking out slightly as he concentrates on mixing chemicals together. So far, all he's managed to make is a mess. There's a few splotches on his side of something that looks like it might be wet toilet paper on the counter and a vial has been knocked over but it was empty so it's fine.
He adds a couple of drops to his concoction only to have it change colors. He frowns. "Well that's not gonna work." He dumps it out in the sink and then scribbles in his notebook where he has 'Web Fluid 4.0' written at the top.
{ Cabin 1A - Early, Early in the morning on the 21st day | CW: Claustrophobia, Mentions of Skip Westcott and past abuse but nothing graphic }
Peter's hit what he refers to as a 'crash day' which means pretty much right after dinner he crawled into his bunk and crashed. It's the first crash day he's really had since they started this journey so he's happy to just let sleep happen.
That is, until a familiar nightmare hits. He's back under that warehouse, facing Toomes again with those wings crashing into the support pillars and the whole thing comes crashing down on top of him. He can't move. He can't breathe-he struggles against the cement blocks pinning him into place but they feel heavier than he remembers.
He calls out for help-someone's gotta be nearby, right? Someone will come help. He tries again, still struggling to try and get free. He hears someone approaching and lets out sigh of relief.
'What did I tell you about shouting like that, Einstein?'
The nightmare doesn't go any further as his eyes snap open and he takes a large gasp of air. Where-he takes in several breaths, just glancing around the cabin.
"Oh god..." He mutters to himself as he starts to realise it was just a nightmare. "Oh god..." He rubs his watering eyes with his hand. "Shit..."

"Y-yeah-Mr Stark-he's my uh.. mentor." He nods, glad for another subject to focus on.

“I noticed he called you his intern. Though I must admit I don’t know this term.” There. It is entirely possible for he him say he doesn’t know something. “I thought you two were family.”
no subject
"Y-yeah. It basically means I help him out with stuff-science stuff mostly. But we're not related-I mean we're from the same place-Earth. Or more like version of Earth but not related. He's kinda like my boss, I guess you could say." He explains.
no subject
Feanor nods. The word science does get a little vaguely through the universal train translation to Quenya. Seeking knowledge is what he does. What he always did. It piques his interest that those two are on a similar quest.
"What is your trade exactly?"
no subject
"Trade? I'm just in highschool dude, I really haven't figured that out yet-Mr Stark wants me to go to MIT but that's kinda far and I don't really want to leave my Aunt like that." He shakes his head quickly, trying not to think about the fact he kinda had left his Aunt like that. What was May even doing? Was she alright? She was probably worried sick.
"Unless you count Avenging-or being an Avenger-we're like a team of superheroes-we help save the planet. Mr Stark is the head Avenger."
no subject
"Understandable concern but I do believe he has your best interest in mind."
Feanor shakes his head. Avenging? This world that Peter and Stark are coming from may yet not be that different from his own. It seems the shadow of the Enemy falls equally on all...
"I would count. Figthing the Enemy always counts."
He does not envy them. Truly dire must be their situation if they are sending children to war.
no subject
"Yeah, he graduated from MIT so now he thinks I should go. He even offered to put in a good word for me if I apply but-again it's so far from where I live and May would be all alone and not to mention it's expensive. May doesn't have that kind of money."

One elf for a culture shock. It always seemed obvious to him. Do humans really have it backwards? How can you even fight if it's not personal?
"You would think that your mentor would not provide you with means to heed his advice?"
Yes, elvish royalty here. Never had to think about affording a thing in his life.

"In order to get money you have to work and once you do have money you gotta pay for things like rent, and food, and school and even medical bills a lot of the time. And rent is like... a huge chunk of your paycheck-Aunt May sometimes has to pick up shifts just have enough for rent and all the other bills-it's really kinda messed up."
no subject
"Can't you build your own house if renting it is not good?" That's a let them eat cake type of question only someone from literal nobility could ask... and he's not even aware how incredibly stupid it is.
no subject
"So, to do that you have to buy the land and have someone build the house because there's all sorts of rules and regulations you have to meet and that's a lot of money but after that you have to pay uh... property taxes? To the Government on your land it's that like insane in New York so it actually turns out that it's usually cheaper to rent. Except every year the landlord goes up on the rent so May and I have had to move a few times." He explains.
"We had to move after Uncle Ben uh... passed, because even with his um.. life insurance we only had enough for like two months rent so we had to break our contract agreement which there was a penalty for, and we had to cover um.. funeral... costs. And also, back then May and Ben were still being sued by one of my classmate's parents because of something stupid-because I did something stupid."
