Resurrected and it feels so good
Who: Joscelin Fitzthomas + you
What: Why am in this suitcase?
When: Two days after everyone gets back on the train (aka the day before Platform Day)
It's dark. That's the first thing Joss notices. It's dark and cramped and he can't quite figure out why. Hadn't he been with Romeo on the space station? They had followed someone and then there had been gun, and--
Joss gasps, than immediately begins to cough. He feels his chest. He'd gotten shot, hadn't he? That, he remembers clearly. It had hurt like hell for a brief second before everything went black. He figures that he must have passed out from the pain and been transported back to...this very small space where his knees are practically forced up against his chin. What is it? And why does he feel so weak? How badly had he been hurt? Has he been taken captive? Is he in a cage?
The boy struggles for a moment and manages to open whatever he's in enough to see a small crescent of light. It dazzles him. Normally he can see perfectly in both light and dark, but something is off. He feels both blind and deaf; cut off, somehow.
Another kick and his cage gives way completely, revealing itself to be...a suitcase? He falls to the floor of what is obviously the train's baggage car. Why the hell had they put him here? He knows that he's essentially indestructible, but this is ridiculous. Vampire or no, one typically does not put a gravely injured person in a bloody carry-on.
He manages to collect himself, still feeling strangely muffled. Normally he can hear every sound the train makes as it flies through the Void, but now its eerily quiet. The door seems heavier too. once he gets there. And it's really quite shocking how tired he is. He must be dreadfully short on blood indeed, if he's feeling this weak.
Still blinking away spots, the boy stumbles out the door to the baggage car and into the train beyond.

He closes his mouth again, still giving Joss that same exact look. Should he be alarmed by this? Are his Spideysenses going off? It doesn't feel like it but then again his senses don't always go off and they're especially faulty when he hasn't been taking care of himself as much as he should which he honestly has not because damn they lost a lot of people that just disappeared this go around it's been rough on a kid that somehow manages to find way to blame things on himself-especially loss.
"S-so you're.. not. dead?" He asks stupidly, really unsure of how to handle this.

“Really, you’re acting quite strangely. I don’t doubt that my injuries must have been severe but I’m quite all right now.”

"Um... yeah, I guess you have a point." Peter says, still sounding as though he's questioning his own eyes. "I mean we were all told you were... uh..." He doesn't say dead because that's such a harsh word.
"So... So you're really okay? I mean-you kinda look.. less... pale? Is that a good or a bad thing for vampires?"

“That I was dead? Preposterous. I wouldn’t be standing here if that had happened. Vampires aren’t exactly alive to begin with; we can’t come back even as ghosts when we’re killed for good. Bringing me back a second time would be impossible.”
It all sounds very reasonable.
But Peter’s carrying on, and he shrugs, confused at the concern. “My color changes depending on how recently I’ve eaten; I look quite human directly after a meal. I fed very well on the space station, before...” he trails off, uncomfortable. “At any rate, that’s probably what it is.” Even though it’s been nearly a week since then. And healing such a terrible wound would have used it up all the extra reserves the blood would have gotten him.
But he’s always been a prodigy when it comes to lying, especially to himself.

"But you didn't just eat." He points out as a matter of fact. "And as someone that can heal from pretty serious injuries I know how much that takes out of you-I'm not a vampire but I do have to have something like 5 to 6k calories a day just to maintain my abilities. Are you sure you're okay?"
