WHo:Evie Grimhilde and YOU!!
What:Evie is teaching some basic cooking in the form of some relatively easy pasta dishes.
Where: The kitchen.
When: Egret 16 for most of the afternoon.
At this point, Evie was just doing her best to keep busy. She hated losing people, deeply and truly and completely. First Harry, now Tobias. She was just going to keep her head up by doing what she did best, and that was cooking.
Actually, that was designing and making clothes, but she had none of the stuff she needed here to do it. So she went with her second best hobby and she was teaching others to cook, as well. Not everyone knew how, and if people were going to be stuffed into chores like this, it would be beneficial for all if people had very basic knowledge of what to do.
So she's good about teaching people at their level. Never been in a kitchen before, or something along those lines? Basic knife skills and safety. She had a first aid kit nearby if anything happened, and her own very basic medical know-how, too. So that should be fine.
Slightly more skilled people get pasta dishes. One-Pot Tomato Basil Pasta is one of the choices. Or, they can learn how to make 15-Minute Lemony Broccoli Pasta.
Either way, she was going to help them every step of the way.
For people who knew what they were doing, but wanted to learn something more advanced, they could either learn how to hand make pasta (and it's a long but fun process), or a simple baked chicken and roasted garlic dish. They had their pick.
At the end of it, Evie's in the kitchen by herself, writing down notes for the day and cleaning up. She has a cup of coffee with her and even with the adventures the day gave her? She still had a lot of fun.
[ ooc: Okay! Come be a student with one of the dishes above, or come bother her after classes are over! Either works. This is OTA. ]

At the end of the session
Granted, being kidnapped by a train traveling through the void had no precedent in his life, so perhaps in a way it did make sense. But being in a physical body rattled him all the same; senses felt different in this shape, and he was not looking forward to the 'nightly reset' he had read about in the prescribed leaflet.
Still, there were good people on this train, if... oddly fictional, to him, and he made it a priority to get to know them all.
That was what finally brought him all the way up the train to the kitchen - and, well, he did have enough control over this new form to help out, he thought.
But asking first seemed prudent. "Excuse me? Do you need a hand here, ma'am?"
The robot body was not necessarily expressive, but he had discovered the webcam was there for a reason, and he projected what he hoped was a reassuring smiling face on the screen.
Re: At the end of the session
It's not that she needs the help. She's good at doing things on her own. Evie likes company, and this individual was new. So she's not going to turn them away.
"How are you at washing dishes?" she asks, still clearing the table and wiping it off.

Tapping an arm's casing, he adds, "And I have checked; this body appears to be quite waterproof."
So there would be no unfortunate accidents from that quarter.

"Excuse me, am I on time for the cooking lesson?"

"Care to help me set up? I just need a hand setting ingredients out at each station." Each station had utensils and recipes, and some had some of the ingredients needed, but not everything. Spices were already measured out and set at each spot. It was the bigger things she needed a hand with like tomatoes and basil and lemons.

Their project is the One Pot Tomato Basil Pasta because for obvious reasons, Peter can't have lemon. It looks okay... he thinks.
"Is... is the broth supposed to be pink?" He looks at the list of ingredients again and decides that no, it is not how it's supposed to look. "...H-how did we turn it pink?"

"You're doing great, Peter."

So here she is, learning to make the Lemony Broccoli pasta. She also dragged her stupid best friend along because she needs to keep an eye on him. This might have been a mistake though. He needs too much attention he's like a big baby.
"We're going to follow the recipe exactly no experimenting!" She tells him, or more like warns.

"I can cook perfectly well you know!"
So long as it mostly involves instant food.

"Aoko doesn't know, you might." She says, still giving him that look. "Kaito gets too curious."

"Not about food I don't!"

and...
sticks her tongue out right back at him.

"Your face is gonna stick like that~"
He taunts.
after the classes!
There's a voice softly and politely speaking up - at least thankfully audible now the kitchen is entirely empty aside from the two of them, rather than the chaos there had been during the cooking earlier.. But that's exactly why Madoka approaches the older girl now with a smile on her face as Evie seems to be writing down some notes.
"Hi. Do you maybe need help with the cleaning up? It looks like it'd be a lot to do all by yourself.."
Re: after the classes!
"So there are dishes to put away, a dishwasher to load after. There are counters that need wiping off, the tables need to be cleaned up, too, and the floor needs to be swept and mopped. After that, I'm going to take the dish-cloths to the laundry to wash them. Where do you think we should start?"

Madoka is already grabbing a cloth to start wiping the counters with, but something about her seems a little hesitant. It's not that she doesn't want to get to work or anything, it's just that there's something she wants to say to Evie, but is very obviously and visibly waffling about.
After a few moments she manages to get it out though, although she's saying it very slowly and carefully.
"Um.. By the way.. I-It's okay if you don't want to talk about it! But I just noticed that one of your friends left earlier on the platform.."
At least, she thinks Evie and that bird were friends, Madoka is sure she's seen them together multiple times before.
"And so.. I just wanted to ask if you were okay. I know it's really sad to lose a friend like that."
