Who: Little One and Open
Where: Luggage, Cabin 1:C and then throughout the train
When: Egret, day 21
What: Little One wakes up in a suitcase and then investigates any changes in her time away

This had happened to her before. A voice from the screens and then waking up in a suitcase. But this time she had been on the mission and now she was here.

Why? Why had they taken her off the mission? She had been doing well. She had figured out the stupid space ships and the guns. But she had still disappeared and was back in a suitcase. She sat up with a sigh and looked around, instincts kicking in. Checking for danger, for people, for anyone who was too close.

Once she decided it was safe she clambered out and moved towards the exit. She paused near the door to bring up the ICP and click onto the passenger list. New people. Some names missing. She did her best to commit them to memory. She checked the day, she had been gone a while. Longer than last time. Most people were still here though. That was good.

Cabin 1, C

The first place she headed to was her room. She still had the bag she had carried on the mission and she wanted to put it down before she went elsewhere. She headed to her room quickly and opened the door with a wave of her ticket. It was strange that things that had seemed so strange only months ago now felt familiar.

She entered, planning just to throw her bag onto her bag and get changed out of the flight suit and into trousers and a hoodie.

Throughout the train

She is headed to the kitchen, as she's pretty hungry but not so hungry that she isn't going to investigate the train as she goes. Checking up on people she knows, watching them from a distance. She takes note of new people, doing her best to match their faces to the pictures she had seen on the ICP. It's difficult though, there are a lot of new people to keep track of.

But she watches, listening and taking in everything she sees as she makes her way from carriage to carriage.

She nodded and watched as he began to slice the onions, wrinkling her nose a bit. "Why do onions be making people go leaky faced?"

He seems to know what he's doing so he might know the answer.

Tipping his head back to blink away the tears, Trowa glanced at Buttercup. "It's a chemical reaction from the oils in the onion. Like a defense mechanism."

"A defence? Onions do be having defences?"

Well that was interesting, "Do it be being so people do no be eating them?"

If so it was a failed defence mechanism. But interesting nonetheless.

"I think so. It's one of the reasons why some peppers are so spicy. They developed that way so animals won't eat them, but humans decided they are tasty anyway." Bringing up his arm, Trowa wiped his eyes with his sleeve before going back to cutting the onions.

"Humans do be being weird."

She grinned, "Or brave." She preferred brave actually, to eat things that grew themselves so they wouldn't be eaten.

Onions had just got a lot more interesting.

Trowa grinned at that as he finished the first onion. Separating the rings from each other in each slice, he added them to the salad. "Oh, I think it's even parts of both."

"Maybe it do be being." She grinned as she watched him add the onion to the salad.

"Lots of people do be being weird here, some of them do be being brave."

Usually in a stupid, reckless way.

"Well, what do you think. Should we call the salad ready?"

Trowa grinned at the little girl once he'd mixed in the onions.

She made a point of looking at it carefully before nodding. "I do be thinking it do be being ready."

It looked good! "Will you be eating it straight away?"

"We certainly can. Would you like a plate or a small bowl?" It was a good looking salad, even Trowa had to agree. He didn't even want to put any dressing on it.

"Um... A bowl?" She's not sure if that is a right answer, honestly she would just eat it out of the big bowl with her hands but she knows that isn't polite.

Even though more bowls just meant more washing!

"Sounds like a plan." Trowa pulled out a pair of smallish bowls, just right for salads. He filled them both and passed one to the little girl. "Your salad is ready." Leaning against the counter, he started eating with his fingers without any shame.

"I do be thanking you!"

She also ate with her fingers, forks were stupid but Tony seemed to believe they were important. Still if Trowa wasn't going to make her use cutlery then she had no intention to. She munched on the salad. It was pretty good, even with the onion.

"You are very welcome. Thank you for your input on making it." Trowa couldn't help beaming at the little girl. She was so sweet. "Do you have any favorite foods? My team is on cooking duty, but I'm sure I could get some help making a special request."

She grinned, though she knew she had actually done very little in terms of making it. She would still take the praise.

"I do be liking honey. It do be being the best food."

Trowa had a strong urge to poke Buttercup's nose, finding her to be positively adorable. "Honey is very tasty. Especially on toast."

She nodded, agreeing. Honey was the best food and honey on toast was very nice. "Honey do be being the best food. It do be going with anything."

Trowa turned a little to lean on the counter, sighing softly as he did so. "It's a shame we don't have a bee hive on the train. We could have fresh honey right from the source if we did."

"I do no be knowing if anyone do be being a bee farmer though."

Which would make collecting the honey hard, she had no idea how it was done. She imagined fighting bees was involved and that could be tricky.

"Hmm, yes. We would need to have someone who knows how to get the honey without getting stung." Trowa knew it could be done, but it wasn't a skill he'd needed for the war and so he hadn't bothered with it. "Perhaps we could get some from the train's stores. Or ask for it when we get to a platform."

"We could be buying some." She said with a shrug. "The honey here to be being nice but it do no be being as good as the honey from Gauig, that do be being the best honey."

She has a lot of points, she wondered if she would get actual Gauigen honey if she asked for it.

"I can't say I've ever that that honey. The best I've had came from one of the L1 colonies. There's a family that grows very high quality clover, and they keep bees to collect the honey. It's better than some of the terrestrial honeys I've tried." Trowa smiled warmly, remembering the time Cathy had bought a jar. She'd treated it like gold, for obvious reasons.

"Maybe we should all be buying honey from our worlds and then be tasting them all to be seeing what do be being the best."

Because she was interested in his best honey and to see how it compared to other worlds.

"That is a very good idea, I will have to keep that in mind for if I have enough points. First, I have to buy a bear, since I owe one to the bear fund. Then, I've been wondering about requesting a pet." Trowa smiled warmly at Buttercup as he finished off his salad. "Do you like animals?"

"Mister Stark's bear thing?" She wrinkled her nose, she sort of understood it. He had explained it when he had given her, but the concept of teddy bears was still strange. Still hers sat watch on her bed, because it seemed to please Tony that she hadn't just abandoned it somewhere.

"I do no be minding them, when they do no be biting."
