about falling: i said it was the last time last time
Who: Aaron && Xander (Closed to these two plz)
Where: Garden Care, might migrate to a quiet car who knows
When: Egret 24
What: Aaron had a dream and he's very ??
Aaron had a dream that had been just stuck in his head. He couldn't shake the feeling of falling and the way his sense of self tugged at all directions until he was in pieces and falling and... The entire dream was just something. He hadn't dreamed since his fall to earth so this was more than unsettling to him: why would God message him now? Why would this message be sent? What did this mean? It was pretty cryptic, even for the mysterious ways of God.
He wanted to bounce it off of someone and get their input, so he had headed to the garden car in hopes he would find Xander. This seemed to be the right choice: he found the man tending to some of the plants and making sure they were okay. Aaron approached and crouched down next to Xander, looking at whatever he was doing. "You've got a patience I'll never understand to mess around with this."

That doesn't bother him a bit. Xander glanced over at Aaron, arching his brows. "You need something?" He isn't irritated at all, mostly curious. It's still unusual to see Aaron seeming so...uncertain. He could even feel that rolling off the man...

"Uh, yeah. I wanted your thoughts about something, if that's okay." He turned his head to look at Xander, resting the lower half of his face against his arm so his face was only visible from the nose up.

"Be careful what you wish for," Xander said, but his solemn expression couldn't last, and he broke into a grin, moving into more of a seat. The peas would keep. "Seriously, though. What can I do for you? I might not have answers, but I can listen, for sure."

"So I had a dream. Um, I don't dream on my own. Dreams are messages directly from, you know..." He pointed up, an obvious enough motion with the context of what each of them were. "I haven't had a dream for... a very long time. And this one was a bit unsettling?" He waited for encouragement to keep going, then continued as he stretched one leg out, the other staying so the foot was tucked under the knee of the extended leg.
"I was floating in water, like a giant sea, but it wasn't the ocean?" He grimaced at the thought of the salt water on his back. "It was really comfortable, like when you draw a bath just right and you lay back and you could stay there forever, you know? The water was gently kinda rocking me and it was really comfortable, and I felt really safe." He paused, thinking about the next thing to describe, the continued.
"The sky above was like... It was really beautiful. Like those pictures of the milky way, you know? This beautiful dark violet color, then so many stars above. I don't think even the most dedicated could count them! And there were some shooting stars, enough that they looked like they might be playing a game with each other, but not really a full meteor shower?" He hoped that made sense. He looked up to Xander. "It was super pretty." He smiled very slightly, a playfulness to him after the still calm that was within him as he described the prior scene. "Maybe prettier than Paris, but I'll punch you if you ever tell someone I said that."
The smile faded as his brow furrowed and both the play and calm left, to be replaced with discomfort and a level of upset. "There were dark shapes, then. I don't know what they were. The sky disappeared and then it was like I fell through the water." Aaron gave an involuntary shiver. The first time he fell was very traumatic, and the dream brought that feeling back. Though his face would be nothing more than somewhat troubled, Xander would know that Aaron was incredibly upset with this, and also afraid.
Aaron is quiet for long enough that Xander might ask if that was all, but then he'd start to speak as he looked back down and started picking at the skin around one of his nails. Aaron couldn't describe the part where it felt like he was falling everywhere and through reality, but he could describe what was after that. He swallowed and continued.
"As I was falling I heard screaming. It sounded like one scream made of a million people, but I also caught my own voice in that scream. I jolted awake after that." He was frowning, his brow furrowed deeply. He was still upset, there was still some part of him that was scared, and he was still a bit confused. "I don't know what to make of it. I don't know what I'm being told. Messages that come to me in this way were always a bit cryptic, but... This is a new level to it."

Sometimes, that was the most important thing.
Xander couldn't help but laugh when Aaron threatened him about dissing Paris. The nephilim shook his head. "No worries, your secret's safe with me." But then he gestured for Aaron to continue.
For all that Xander believed Aaron and his relation of his dream...it didn't make much sense to Xander himself, either.
"I'm not a prophet or a dreamer," he said, uneasily. "I'm not sure what it means, either. Other than...we might be getting into something that's more than we expect. But that could really mean anything!"
How very frustrating. He didn't much like being unable to help, and at the moment, he really couldn't do much but what he'd already done.
