Event: Abort! Part Two (day 25, Egret). Luggage carriage
They are on world world#27462947582 for about five hours, helping, ushering people out of the city, fighting monsters, keeping guard. All seems well in the city itself, peaceful even except for the slight panic of people being told to move south.
Wherever they are, north in the desert, travelling through the countryside to the south or still in the city itself they will notice from their peripheral vision a darkening of the sky. Looking up they will see clouds. Strange clouds, appearing in the blue sky out of nowhere.
Their SCA’s start beeping, rapidly, flashing red. The clouds are too weird to be clouds, dark shapes in the sky. It might be that the Voidtreckers heed the warning and tap their SCA to evacuate to the train. It might be that they do not.
If they don’t then there is a moment, a moment of absolute stillness as those around them notice the shapes. A confused pause. Children stop their chatter, people stop their complaining, even the monsters seem to sense something and pause in their attacks.
The remaining voidtreckers are yanked away, even without pressing their SCA, they glow gold and disappear.
They all appear in the luggage carriage and not even a second later, with no warning the train lurches, flinging everyone off their feet as it enters the void.
It’s not really easy to tell speed in the void, but they will get the sense that they are moving fast. Faster than before, leaving that world and whatever those shapes were behind.

doot deet doot this guy does not belong here (but I couldn't resist) >.>;
He caught the movement of the weasel just before it disappeared further into the crowd. But now he was aware of it and keeping up with it was easy for someone like him who was used to keeping an eye on multiple targets while in a crowd.
A moment later he scooped up the weasel in his hands. He held it out at eye level for a moment as he examined it carefully. It looked fine. "What are you doing here," he mused aloud as he shifted it towards his chest, holding it with a surprising amount of gentle care. He wondered who had brought a weasel on board for a pet as he headed for the exit once more.
perfect
Usually this was very helpful in an ayakashi fight when things could get very confusing, it was good to be able to see above it all and keep Elfnein knowing what was going on. It was a little less useful for moving through a crowd without bumping into people.
So it was a bit strange to be scooped up by a man he didn't know all that well. Still the man wasn't hurting him, his hands were firm but careful. He didn't seem too scary and even grown ups needed to keep their spirits up sometimes.
So he curled up in the mans hands, wondering where they were going.
:D
So it came as little surprise to him when the weasel settled sweetly into his hands and rested calmly there. It kind of pleased him a bit actually. He liked the feel of fur in his hands, with or without gloves on, and enjoyed the calming sensation of petting a soft creature.
Not that anyone needed to know the big, bad assassin had a soft spot for tiny, soft animals.
He took the weasel with him out into the connecting tunnel, squeezing past all the passengers stuck in the luggage carriage with careful ease. He took care to shield the weasel with his body as he made his way. When he made it out of the carriage he took a moment to breath fresh air. Then ducked into the dressing carriage, keeping low so as to avoid the spider web there.
As he headed for the next carriage as well, knowing people would be slowly making their way through here (some already were, he rubbed gently at the top of the weasel's head with one finger.

He lay in his hands, letting the man stroke his head for a moment, before nuzzling the finger with his nose. Was the man alright? Did he know what had happened?
Because Romeo had no idea and it was quite scary!

"I'll look for your owner once the commotion settles down," the hitman said aloud, mostly to himself. Though in after-thought it wouldn't be too strange to find out this wasn't an ordinary animal. This train had a way of breaking his view of "normal" when he least expected it.

But he doesn't think anyone will squish her on purpose, so it might be a good idea to wait a little bit for the confusion to die down.

For a moment he debated heading into his cabin while letting the commotion settle down. But he decided instead to go to the greenhouse carriage. It seemed a good idea for both himself to watch how many people evacuated back into the rest of the train and for the little weasel to have a comfortable spot to run around.
Once inside the greenhouse carriage, 47 made his way towards some of the organized beds where green sprouts were already visible and sat down on the ground next to them. He sat crossed legged and set the weasel in his lap. He made no attempt to keep it there, only pet it for as long as it stayed near.

He cocked his head back at the weasel. "You can go explore. Just be careful."
It felt a little odd to talk to the creature but he simply reminded himself that some of the animals already on board the train were smarter and better trained than he would expect at a glance.

He sniffed at the green sprouts, wondering what was growing. The man had always seemed a little scary to Romeo, so he had always tried not to get in his way. But if he liked plants and weasels then he couldn't be so bad after all!
