Event: Abort! Part Two (day 25, Egret). Luggage carriage

They are on world world#27462947582 for about five hours, helping, ushering people out of the city, fighting monsters, keeping guard. All seems well in the city itself, peaceful even except for the slight panic of people being told to move south.

Wherever they are, north in the desert, travelling through the countryside to the south or still in the city itself they will notice from their peripheral vision a darkening of the sky. Looking up they will see clouds. Strange clouds, appearing in the blue sky out of nowhere.

Their SCA’s start beeping, rapidly, flashing red. The clouds are too weird to be clouds, dark shapes in the sky. It might be that the Voidtreckers heed the warning and tap their SCA to evacuate to the train. It might be that they do not.

If they don’t then there is a moment, a moment of absolute stillness as those around them notice the shapes. A confused pause. Children stop their chatter, people stop their complaining, even the monsters seem to sense something and pause in their attacks.

The remaining voidtreckers are yanked away, even without pressing their SCA, they glow gold and disappear.

They all appear in the luggage carriage and not even a second later, with no warning the train lurches, flinging everyone off their feet as it enters the void.

It’s not really easy to tell speed in the void, but they will get the sense that they are moving fast. Faster than before, leaving that world and whatever those shapes were behind.

Curufin climbs to his feet amidst his teammates and all the people cluttering up the luggage coach. He hears a call from a suitcase or trunk nearby and goes over. "Do you need help getting out of that thing?" he asks.

"It appears so," He manages, narrowing his eyes at the fabric restricting his movement. How is it held shut? Perhaps just gravity... He shifts his weight, hoping to find an open side.

Curufin reaches down and fiddles with the fastenings for a second, and then unzips the bag with a single swift motion. "There you go!" he says, cheerfully. He holds out a hand in case Gyousou needs assistance climbing out of the big suitcase.

The zip pulls along from his blind spot behind one shoulder, and he twists enough that he can more easily take Curufin's hand and free himself.

"My thanks. You're making a habit of being in the right place at the right time--" although, given how many people are currently in the carriage... He looks around, eyebrows lifting.

Curufin smiles. "You're welcome. I do try to be in the right place at the right time. But I'm sure any of these people would have been glad to have helped you."

He looks around, too, contemplating the mass of Voidtreckers who are crowding the coach.

"I don't know what happened. The train has never before pulled us all out of a mission before it was finished. Those dark clouds that were hovering threateningly overhead might have been evil spirits or some such thing, and I don't know if they could have caused the final event of that dream some of had. But I'd rather have stayed to fight."

"That seems to be the general feeling," he agrees, after a few moments of listening to the hum of various conversations and indignant posturing from the other Voidtreckers. "I'm afraid the last I remember is being aboard the, ah, space station, so I cannot advise."
