Event: Abort! Part Two (day 25, Egret). Luggage carriage

They are on world world#27462947582 for about five hours, helping, ushering people out of the city, fighting monsters, keeping guard. All seems well in the city itself, peaceful even except for the slight panic of people being told to move south.

Wherever they are, north in the desert, travelling through the countryside to the south or still in the city itself they will notice from their peripheral vision a darkening of the sky. Looking up they will see clouds. Strange clouds, appearing in the blue sky out of nowhere.

Their SCA’s start beeping, rapidly, flashing red. The clouds are too weird to be clouds, dark shapes in the sky. It might be that the Voidtreckers heed the warning and tap their SCA to evacuate to the train. It might be that they do not.

If they don’t then there is a moment, a moment of absolute stillness as those around them notice the shapes. A confused pause. Children stop their chatter, people stop their complaining, even the monsters seem to sense something and pause in their attacks.

The remaining voidtreckers are yanked away, even without pressing their SCA, they glow gold and disappear.

They all appear in the luggage carriage and not even a second later, with no warning the train lurches, flinging everyone off their feet as it enters the void.

It’s not really easy to tell speed in the void, but they will get the sense that they are moving fast. Faster than before, leaving that world and whatever those shapes were behind.

"I'm.. not sure, actually." There's a hint of guilt in his voice as he says it, because of course he'd rather have the answer to that readily available when Yuki needs it. But of course Inigo would have no idea who the healers on the team are when he's still much too stubborn about not asking for any of that to be used on himself.. Although he now realises he definitely has to find out for Yuki's sake. Sure, maybe he's a hypocrite, but Inigo can't stand for watching Yuki hurt like this.

"Do you think you need one right now..? I'll go look if you want." No matter how reluctant he is to leave Yuki's side, he would really do anything Yuki wants right now. The reluctance is very obvious in his eyes though as he glances between the room's door and Yuki. "I really don't like seeing you hurt like this.. Especially when there's no one whose ass I can go kick for doing this to you."

Not like he can go kick the train. .. or, well, not in a way that'd actually make the train feel it, anyway.

"Well maybe we don't have any." Yuki mused, looking up at the ceiling. The silvery head shook slowly at the offer of assistance though. "No..no I'll be fine." In reality he had no real idea if he'd be fine or not, but there was no reason for Inigo to run around with his head cut off as Yuki knew that he would looking around for a healer. He didn't know what to do, but he could just lay here and deal with it.

Gray eyes narrowed and blinked at Inigo when he threatened to kick a non existent ass. And unbidden a small pained laugh came out of him due to it. "You'd..only end up hurting yourself and then we'd both be laying here."

No matter how worried he is at the pain he can hear in that laugh, the fact that Yuki manages to laugh at all coupled with the words actually manages to drag a slight laugh out of Inigo as well. He can totally imagine it, okay...

"Guilty as charged." It's not like anyone could punch or kick the train without getting hurt, after all. Unless they were one of the superpowered people around here who can withstand a hit moreso than regular people.

He turns his smile towards Yuki, gently brushing a hand through Yuki's hair again. "Lying there in bed with you doesn't sound that bad though." Nope, it's not teasing or anything. He sounds very genuine about that. But don't worry, he's certainly not enough of an idiot to go get himself injured to accomplish that.

The gray eyes shut and Yuki coughed quietly. The laugh had felt good, but at the same it still hurt. But then the hand went through his silver hair, and his eyes opened back up. There was a shy sort of smile which turned into a blush at the thoughts that went through his mind but he knew he shouldn't be reading into things.

Slowly, very slowly the silver haired boy moved over to give Inigo space. "Now there's room enough for both of us." The company would be nice and no he wasn't looking for anything other than for the warrior to lay near him because his presence was comforting. It was something that Yuki had realized slowly that he could handle things a little better with the boy next to him or near him. Life was just funny like that he supposed.

When Yuki says that, Inigo just stares for a moment. There's a weird mix of surprise and glee in his eyes as he does so - like he can't quite believe what he's hearing, yet is so super excited to hear it all the same. This is real, right? Is this really happening? Is Yuki really asking him to come lie there in bed with him?

His smile is so big that it nearly threatens to split his face in two as he moves to quickly slide off his boots before lying down right next to the other. He really wishes they could even downright cuddle right now, but he knows that Yuki is in too much pain for it, so he'll save that fantasy for another day. As things are now, Inigo is already so super happy just to be lying here like this, feeling Yuki's warmth next to him.

A happy laugh escapes him.

"You have no idea how happy I am right now." Well, Inigo, the fact you're acting like a giddy idiot right now might just be giving it away a little bit.

Yuki couldn't recall anyone looking as happy as Inigo looked to be near him. But it was nice and there was a small smile. It was because he was happy but also because it hid the pain that he was in, so a smile was in place.

"I'm..glad you're happy." There was almost a question in there because he wasn't sure why this made Inigo so happy. But he wasn't about to question it, and peace and as much quiet as he could get was what was in order. Quiet was going to be the factor of course because the warrior looked about ready to burst at the seams with how happy he was.

It was a nice feeling.

It's true that peace and quiet is always a difficult thing to achieve with Inigo around. Especially while he's in a good mood like this. He's really trying to hold himself back a little here, since even he is aware that being his usual self would probably be kind of too taxing on poor sore Yuki.

"I'm always happy around you," he ends up simply saying while trying to look for a way to express his affection for Yuki in a way that won't strain the other right now. After a moment of thinking, he just silently moves his hand until it's right next to Yuki's and then carefully grabs it to hold it. Hopefully that part of his body shouldn't be too sore compared to the rest.

"I can only hope you're happy right now too." Slowly he intertwines their fingers on the hand he's holding. "Unless the pain is keeping you from that. Then I might have to seriously reconsider going to kick the train for daring to injure my lovely boyfriend after all."

His face flushed red in response to the happy compliment but then he felt the hand slowly holding his and he smiled. "I am happy." was the reply but Yuki didn't want to admit how much pain he was actually in.

There was a small laugh so that he could hide the pain in the ridiculousness of Inigo's offer. "No..I think that would be a bad idea." It hurt, but if he could just lay here and be quiet, maybe he could manage it. One would think they would have aspirin or something else like that here, but magic seemed to be the way it was.

Gray eyes turned and he saw one of the healers coming by. They seemed to look the pair over with a serious expression and Yuki finally had to openly admit that he was in pain. So the healer set to healing and almost immediately he felt better.

Honestly, Inigo is really glad at the offer of healing for Yuki. He immediately moves out of the way enough so the healer can get to work - though he keeps holding onto the other's hand, like he's refusing to relinquish that. Surely that shouldn't get in the way of the healing.

And for once he even seems to know to shut up and let someone else do the work, since he just quietly watches as Yuki is healed. It's only when it's done and he's thanked the healer as said healer leaves that he turns back to Yuki to speak.

"Feeling better now?" He won't even scold Yuki for attempting to hide the full extent of his pain from him. The most important part is that he should be feeling better now, after all. "If you don't, you have to admit it now, since I'm planning on getting those cuddles."

The hand holding made him feel better. And as the current of healing energy went through his body, he relaxed. This was infinitely better than the hurting he'd been doing and idly he wondered if that was something he should look into. After all with Inigo to look after it couldn't be a bad thing.

The only magic he was familiar with was a curse and whatever Hanajima's electric waves did.

Turning to his warrior, Yuki nodded. But a smile and a small laugh soon graced his features as he was threatened. "You make a good thing sound like it's going to turn horrible."

Thankfully that smile and then even that laugh tell Inigo everything he needs to know about how okay Yuki is with the idea of these cuddles. It makes his relaxed demeanour grow more genuine as his constantly buzzing worrying thoughts grow quiet for once inside of his head, instead replaced with nothing but the thought of Yuki saying cuddling together is a good thing. There's nothing a lovestruck puppy like Inigo would want to hear more.

"Oh, I'm just trying to make sure you know what you're getting into here," he jokes.

A moment later he's already moving to properly lie back down on the bed, but this time he's not just lying down next to Yuki like before. Instead he scoots over so he's pressing against the other's side even more, before rolling over so he's lying on his chest rather than his back - and with his head straight on top of Yuki's chest. His arms move to wrap around the other, clinging to him, and his head snuggles against Yuki comfortably as Inigo lets out a content sigh.

"I've been wanting to do this for forever now." Even just his tone by itself sounds so happy. "You're so soft.."

He seriously thought about kissing Inigo when that joke came across. And as much as he thought about it, the more..well..it could get out of control, just like the day the warrior confessed. Since then he'd kept their affection down to a bare minimum. One because public displays of affection weren't really a thing for him and they weren't at that stage..

Inigo shifted and suddenly he's got a head on his chest and his own arms went up in alarm. His body stiffened for a moment as if afraid to make a single move and then they ever so slowly went back down. Lightly they rested on the warrior and Yuki was almost afraid to breathe as if he was doing something wrong.

The smile that appeared at the words spoken was genuine and he relaxed a little. But then there was a mischievous grin the other couldn't see. "I am..for now."

For all of Yuki's awkwardness and worries, Inigo seems very genuinely content with the cuddling. Maybe it's since the way he thinks is so simple - the cuddling is all that's on his mind, and there's no awkwardness at all on his part when it comes to this level of affection. He likes Yuki so much that this just feels natural, and he only snuggles further against the other when he feels the arms on his back.

It's great. He loves this. He should have done this so much earlier. It feels so weirdly relaxing, like he could just fall asleep like this--

.. wait, did Yuki just say something?

"For now? What do.."

Inigo's brain was so focused on the cuddling that it doesn't quite connect the dots as quickly. But it does, a few moments later, and this time it's him tensing in surprise.

"Oh. W-What?" Inigo's face is bright red as he lifts his face - though doesn't move off the other in the slightest - to look at Yuki.

He moved as Inigo snuggled into him and he felt lucky that the warrior couldn't see how red his face was at this point. So Yuki's other arm comes up to wrap around the man in his arms and thought maybe his slight joke went past the other. Well that was just as well, and he was teasing anyhow.

Something like that would be a long way as long as he didn't go pinning Inigo to anymore walls, which of course he didn't plan to do.

Yuki tensed as he thought he might get into trouble and then he noticed the warrior's face was red too. But he just smiled. "What makes you think I'm soft?" He was totally turning this in another direction.

"I.. uh.."

He stammers for a moment, the blush on his face not fading in the slightest now Yuki has got him all flustered. Especially with this new direction Yuki is heading in - it makes him wonder if he just misunderstood. By Naga, does he just have a dirty mind, is that it?!

"Y--You just are.." He lowers his head again to rest it on Yuki once more. Cuddling him is oddly comforting - or at the very least, it makes it easier to talk. "You're really soft to lie on.. And whenever I'm with you, I just feel comfortable."

Even if it might not always be apparent whenever his dumb social anxiety hidden under that thin extrovert layer gets in the way. But no matter how flustered he may get at times, he really is super comfortable with him.

"You make me smile without realising it.. And you're so sweet to me."

With the confession Yuki decides to let it go and rolled with it. "And here I thought you were saying that you just thought me soft." It wasn't at all where he was going but that's the new direction he's going in right now. There was nothing but a sweet smile on his face as if that other conversation was never going to happen.

"I'm glad you're comfortable with me." And that was true because the alternative would've been for Inigo to run and never look back. Heavens knew he'd tried to get the other to go away and he just wouldn't.

There was a slightly red face as the other compliments came in and Yuki wasn't really sure what to do with them at all. "Well..you were sweet to me first."

See, this is exactly why he thinks Yuki is so sweet. He thinks it's natural to react to sweetness with sweetness in turn. Inigo can think of so, so many people who instantly shot down his sweetness instead - it instantly elevates Yuki so much in his mind.

"I don't think you're soft." He lets out a breath, and then shakes his head a little - just as much as he can while still lying on top of the other. "Not in a bad way, anyway. I think you're more.. kind, but not soft. You're sweet, but I feel like you wouldn't let anyone just walk all over you."

Unlike him.

"I really admire that."

With Inigo laying the way he is, Yuki quietly shakes. He's keeping everything inside, not trying to blow his cover. After all, what if the warrior figures it all out? He can't let that happen so he doesn't say anything in reply at first.

Finally though he comes up with something to say. "No I wouldn't and I'm not going to let anyone walk all over you either." Hopefully that's enough to get his mind working on something else other than quietly shaking.

It's a good thing for Yuki that cuddling is getting Inigo all cozy and sleepy. It sure makes it a lot harder to be very attentive to what Yuki is dealing with - the shaking goes completely unnoticed by Inigo. If he does pick up on it even slightly, he's probably attributing it to the fact that Yuki has been through a lot, getting completely jostled around by the train, even though he was healed just now. Maybe there's just still some aftereffects.

So those words just draw a soft laugh out of him. "Okay. I like that."

Inigo tries really hard to put up a strong front all the time, but even he can't deny that the idea of his boyfriend standing up to him sounds really nice.

"You should get some sleep though, you know."

"Good." Yuki replied softly to Inigo saying he liked that. Because now that gave the warrior a fair warning that stuff was going to go down if one of the other's friends came aboard and wanted to start their trouble. He didn't want to fight his boyfriend's friends exactly but he wasn't going to let anyone walk all over him either as he'd stated.

Fair warning or something like that.

Gray eyes blinked at Inigo and he curled himself around the warrior, closing his eyes.

"Alright, good night."
