Egret, Late Day 25, Early Day 26 | Healing Car | Open
Glorfindel walked into the Healing Car and pulled out a chair. He'd brought some Athelas with him from the Greenhouse car, in case anyone needed it.
He does have training as a healer, but he's also there to cheer people up, chat about whatever, and generally glow about the place, as his aura will boost any natural or magical healing abilities.
[Feel free to call him over or engage in conversation, if you are one of the many people who needs a little patching up.]

Talk about putting your two cents in.
Isn't it nice that inflation hasn't affected that?
He also checked on Najaran. "How are you doing? Need another bowl? Anyone else?"
ROFLMBO. That is true.
Najran yawned. "What other kinds of yummy food do we have here?" she asked, head pillowed on her arms next to her once again empty bowl.
He might have to cut her off for her own good....

Then his eyes were drawn to Najaran. "We have all sorts," he said softly, his voice gently sing-song. "Like pastries, and sandwiches, vegetables, and desserts, little nibbles and large meat pies, all here in the kitchen, ready for you in the morning."
She probably did need more to eat, if she were also supplying energy to her friends, but perhaps she needed sleep more right now.

Najaran licked her lips, the melody lulling her to sleep, as he drowsiness warred with her constant desire for new and yummy foods. Sleep was winning...

[What will the cards do when he carries her back to the infirmary and puts her to bed...figure she'll wake in her own bed regardless, so easier to take her there for now!]

The song pushed her over the edge. One hand on her spoon, one hand on the stem of the flower, she fell asleep.
Cait Sith was purring happily, and the others crowded closer, done with their food, curious about scritches.

He carefully took the spoon away from her and tucked her hands in close, flower still with her, and then picked her up. "There are beds in the infirmary, which is where I am needed. Is that acceptable?" he asked her friends.

The cards nodded. "We will stay with her till she wakes, meow."

He sat back down in his original spot and indicated anyone who wanted to could come sit with him. "Now, who wants ear scritches?"

Fast asleep, Najaran was oblivious to it all.

End or skip?
Re: End or skip?
Sure! I'm enjoying too!

"It's a good thing that bed is a little wider than our bunks, or you might have fallen off," Glorfindel said with a smile at her. He reached over with his free hand and started to warm the little pot of stew he'd fetched earlier.

"On days he was out or market days things were a little different, of course. If he was out it was usually more chores than training, and more free time between, but I had to make all my own meals. And market days I actually got to go and buy fresh food to refill our supplies."
She took another bite as she considered.
"Recently though he's sent me out on a mission, and so there really isn't a routine anymore. I mean I traveled a lot to Soron, and then Gooligan and I were on our own and kind of got dragged into this big tournament. We had to save the town and everything. Then we almost WERE dinner for the Lord of Flies. After the Lord of Flies and the Black Cepters ran away, the town started having a rain of sea water and fish and became a seaside town again which was nice. And my friend made us a huge feast again before we left. Um then when I got lost after the Dimension Door issue I kind of got arrested..." she rubbed the bank of her head. "Totally not my fault. But Alta and them broke me out and then the routine was mostly camping and traveling on our way to Bisteam. Joaquin made me study lots, though, and Ganz liked to tell stories. Sometimes Alta and I would fetch fire wood together. After I accidentally tried to cut down a Woodfolk none of them let me go for firewood alone. And they stopped letting me cook dinner cause I ate too much as I cooked. If they fished more there would have been plenty," she said, a bit grumpily.
She ate as she considered. "There wasn't really a routine when we were challenging the gates. And after..." her voice broke, and there was a lump in her throat that had nothing to do with stew. "After Kigi died..." she said softly, "And the Dark Lord was dealt with, we got a little lost..."
She forced herself to think more of what came after, rather than dwelling on Kigi and Bisteam. That was all still too sad.
"Tare found us and brought us to Gru.... Mistress Grubel!" she quickly corrected herself, hunching her shoulders in like she expected to be yelled at or worse. She let out a small sigh of relief when that didn't happen. "With her the routine was mostly chores chores and more chores, whatever she felt like making us do that day. But it helped, being so busy. Meant I didn't really have time to think."
She shook her head. "Then after she gave us the information for my Master, we headed home. But he was already gone. Then we got kidnapped again while waiting for him...." she considered then shook her head. "It's been a while since I've really had routine that was stable, I guess. Master Horowitz and I had just started to travel to investigate... um... something..." that she wasn't supposed to talk about. Whoops. "When I wound up here..."
