Cooking With Gladio

Who: Gladio and OPEN
What: Gladio cooks. ^^ Come by and eat his food, it's not half bad!
Where: Kitchen, mainly.
When: Fiddlesticks day 8. Afternoonish.

While he may not have been a fancy cook or professional in any way, Gladio wasn't a slouch in the kitchen. He knew his way around and he could rustle something up in a pinch if he needed to. So that's how he ended up in the kitchen with Noct teaching him how to make a simple spaghetti and sauce meal. Though he did go a little adventurous and make meatballs for it as well.

It was strange to make something for so many people though. He normally had a hard time gauging amounts and would often make too much of a thing. Now they were deliberately doing that to make sure that everyone on the train had a chance to eat (and seconds, if they wanted!)

With the train rocking as it was, once the HUGE pan of spaghetti was made, Gladio kept it in the kitchen where it was safe. He had bowls ready. When the guys got hungry, he would be ready.

In the meantime... he decided to make cupcakes as well.

"I'll try it with them?" Ran enters more fully, her smile still tentative, but warmer. "Thank you."

Watching him dish it up: "Spaghetti? Is that what it's called?"

She has the definite itch to do something; it's strange to have someone serve her. She's used to doing the cooking at home, serving it up for her father and Conan. Having someone else do it makes her feel a little out of place, unsure.

"I'm from Japan--" Ran begins to explain, but cuts herself off. The last couple of people who she'd tried to explain that with didn't know that Japan existed, so it's really not helpful by way of explanation. Quickly, she shakes her head, dismissing it. "I mean . . . it exists where I come from, but it's not something native to my country, if that makes sense?"

True to form from his previous visitors, she does look a little uncertain about how to approach it. Usually she eats her noodles with chopsticks. While she's used a fork before, trying to figure out how to eat noodles with them may be a new adventure.

. . . Does she spear them? That seems to usually be what happens with a fork. (She tries this, and although some stick, most go sliding off.) Slide the fork underneath? (This results in a big glob that's far too large for a polite mouthful.)

Help?
