Happy birthday Tony

The morning started out with breakfast in bed and coffee so at least that much was quiet. The gift of the crocheted baby shark slippers had gone over well but even the advisor turned away at the expression he'd received over the macadamia nuts gathered from the island that had been made into soft baked cookies. A hopefully quiet birthday dinner was planned, cooked by Ignis and Madoka of course and their daughter had made the birthday cake.

But in the meantime, go mingle at the snacks table or pour yourself a drink of some type and chat with the birthday boy. There's also dancing and shenanigans to be had too, with music and other things courtesy of Peter!

Tony woke with a reluctant grunt and looked up at Ignis with a groggy expression. He would be annoyed at getting woken up (not that it wasn't a reasonable time to get up) but he spotted the tray in his hands. His lips curled into a grin and he chuckled.

"What's this, Tiger?" He asked, sitting up and scooting back to prop his back against the headboard. He covered his mouth with his the back of his hand as he yawned. "We need to get you some sexy costumes if you're going to keep doing this."

"It's your birthday by our count." Ignis replied easily, setting the tray down. Normally he doted on Tony anyway, but today would be much more of that. Without really thinking about it, after the tray was set down he handed over the cup of coffee meant for the birthday boy. And then he procured his own from the tray.

He blushed at hearing the part about the sexy outfits after taking a sip. "I believe just a simple collar would do for a show of proof of ownership, should any other passenger inquire as to who I belong to." This was a playful swipe at the older man stating that he was owned in front of Alice.

Ignis hadn't argued because he liked the idea of being owned somewhere. And the collar idea was growing on him the more thought that was put into it. But he said nothing and instead redirected the attention off of the mental image of a silver and gold collar.

"Do you feel any older?"

It seems Madoka just has the impeccable timing to have been able to miss all this inappropriate Not Safe For Madokas talk. It's hard to miss the fact that the girl is approaching with the sudden footsteps growing louder (yet light enough to betray it's not some huge person running) coming from the hallway before they stop and Madoka peeks into the room.

"Papa, sorry for being late! I was grabbing--"

The girl starts quickly rambling as she enters the room, stopping midway through her sentence as she already notices her fathers together there with a half-surprised look on her face. For a second she's quiet, frozen to the spot, but then with unintended comical timing she instead throws her arms up into the air.

"Dad, happy birthday..!"

"My w- really?" He looked at Ignis surprised. Although that wasn't nearly the biggest surprise coming his way in the next few seconds. He stared at his fiance when he seemed to be warming to the idea of having a collar. That was hilarious! And he just might have to make one to see if Ignis would wear it. Were any of the elves bored enough to help him with that? Probably.

Before he could answer about if he felt older (which the answer was yes) his sweet little princess was running in and giving the cutest display. It was so endearing, even if he was sure Madoka wanted this to come off a whole lot more polished than it did. To him, it was almost making him tear up. "Come here and give your daddy a hug," he answered with a grin.

He kissed her cheek when she hugged him and he scooted over so she could sit on the bed with him. "How did I ever get so lucky to have you two? That's better than anything I could've asked for."

This is the part where Ignis was going to attempt to look innocent as he sipped his coffee. It was always inwardly satisfactory to see surprise on the other's face and be able to give back as good as he got. He'd mentally give the man only so much rope so to speak before he decided it was time to start payback. And then there were ties he didn't do that at all.

Hearing their daughter come running, the coffee cup was set down to a safe place and smiles. It's always so heart warming to him to have the three of them together as a family, especially after a mission. The advisor didn't try to interrupt Tony and Madoka's time together and took a picture of them on the bed.

So there was a smile in Ignis' reply at the question posed by Tony. "I believe you were simply yourself."

Tony doesn't have to ask twice. Even moreso since it's his birthday today and he should get his every birthday wish fulfilled. But hugging her dad is never a punishment in the slightest, and Madoka has a gleeful smile as she runs over towards him for a hug.

When he gives her space on the bed, Madoka neatly fits on it next to him, leaning snugly against his side by the time Ignis takes that picture.

"Yeah. Papa's smart, so he's right." Although the thought of anyone feeling lucky to have her is absolutely wild to Madoka, but she'll just try to accept it for now. "Besides.. dad, isn't this the part where you say it's just because you're that awesome?"

There, Tony. It's your favourite birthday present: daughter sass. Honestly, the very fact she dares to say as much while being all cozy like this says a lot about how comfortable she is with her two fathers like this.

Although it's not the only birthday present. The girl rummages through her pockets, pulling out something small and placing it on Tony's lap - it's a bracelet made of shells and string that she made.

"And this is what you get for being awesome, dad. And for your birthday. I'm sorry, I know it's not a big present.."
