A New Platform [Intro Post June]

On the Train

The days following the mission are relatively uneventful as people once more get used to the rhythm of life on the train. "Good morning passengers, it is day sixteen of the month of Fiddlesticks. Points have been updated on the system."

They have indeed and everyone can spend the morning shopping. Those who have been on the train a while will be expecting the second announcement that comes a few hours later.

"Shortly arriving into a designated void platform. Exit from void in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one." A lurch and a jolt and they are soon surrounded by the fog that means they are at a platform. It is a cool day, clouds gathering threateningly though it stays dry luckily.

As usual the first to leave the train notice nothing as they walk silently, rucksacks on their backs, towards the barriers. Leviathan, Atsushi Nakajima, Spinel, Peggy Carter, Evie Grimhilde, Cal Kestiss, Gwen Stacey, Renee Corbin, Lan Jingyi, Waver Velvet, Aoko Nakamori, Namine, Jak and Marcus Wright all reach the barriers, show their tickets and disappear through, vanishing into the fog.

But on the platform itself there are many new faces. Wearing hoodies, in various states of confusion.

For New Passengers

At first all they can see is steam. Billowing around them as they come to their senses. They are standing, in clothes that are not their own, styles they might not even recognise. They are carrying a rucksack on their back. For a moment it seems to just be them, alone in the white haze but then the steam begins to fade and they realise they aren’t alone.

The platform is not large and it holds twenty six figures all facing the tracks, all dressed in cargo trousers and hoodies. The air is cool with a slight breeze. Both left and right the tracks disappear into the mist. Then there is a roaring sound and out of the fog arrives a train. Jet black with gold writing on the side. The Voidtrecker Express. There is a hiss as the doors slide open and out into the cold step a selection of people. Some are human, some are less so. Most are wearing the same hoodie in one of the four colours, red, orange, blue and purple though some are sporting different clothes in a variety of styles.

The Train

The doors hiss open. Those from the train may encourage those on the platform to board. It’s not like there is anywhere else to go and even if there was, you feel a pull. A need to board, a feeling that staying on the platform would not be a good thing. If that is not enough, there are plenty of people on the platform now, to encourage them onto the train.

Each ICP shows the same message and next to the screens there are stacks of leaflets written by those on the train, with further information. The store rooms have been restocked with plenty more bacon as well as other staples.

Passengers who are not brand new will notice a new carriage. A second gym. This one is outfitted for training with mats, fighting pads, balance beams and even climbing apparatus to help get everyone ready for the missions ahead.

New passengers will find their tickets allow them into their cabins. They may need to negotiate for beds, especially if they want a top bunk!

Room is tight but there are storage cubbies at the head of each bed, beds fold up and the bottom bunks double as benches for the small table. There is storage under those benches and you will hopefully find a pillow for your bed if it has not been nabbed by a roommate, there are also spare blankets for if it gets cold.

Departure

A second horn sounds to encourage any stragglers and the doors slide shut. Veteran passengers know what will happen next, they may wish to brief their new companions.

The train sets off, the fog obscuring the view as it picks up speed.

"Welcome aboard, passengers of the Voidtrecker Express.! A female-coded artificial sounding voice echoes throughout the train. "Please take the time to read the passenger information displayed on the Information and Communication points and familiarise yourself with the layout and emergency exits."

The train begins to tilt, leaving the ground and rising up into the fog filled sky.

"Entrance into Voidspace imminent. New passengers are advised to remain seated. Entry into Voidspace in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one."

A shudder, a jolt, a lurch to the left. A flash of light, colourful and blinding. As quick as it happens it is done. The train seems to steady. The fog from the windows is gone now, replaced with a kaleidoscope of ever changing colours.

Welcome to the Void!

Suddenly: light.

Elena lifts her hand to shield her dark-accustomed eyes and has to bite back her gasp of pain, suddenly remembering her broken wrist and fractured ribs. Vincent Valentine had done a relatively competent job of bandaging up their wounds, but without any Potions or painkillers handy, there was only so much he could do.

She blinks, trying to clear the spots from her vision, and realizes that she isn’t where she thought was. Panic rises. Is Kadaj back? Is this another of his mind games? But…no, she doesn’t know this place. It isn’t anywhere she’s ever been. Why would he make her see a train platform?

The Turk takes a cautious step forward, wincing as the motion sends another stab of pain shooting through her ribs. She’s acutely aware of every cut and bruise Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz had inflicted on her during—how long had it been? Hours? Days?—the torture. She and Tseng…

…Tseng. Where is he? The last she had seen of him, he’d been prone on a cot in a dirty room while Valentine bent over him with a first aid kit. Elena looks around for him, but recognizes none of the faces she sees in the fog. Where is this place? Why is she here?

What is she wearing?

Sleeper 3, Cabin B (closed to Wen Ning)

No one is in the sleeper car when Elena arrives to deposit her stuff, which is probably a good thing. It’s tiny--do they really expect four adults to live here? Long term? Seeing it strengthens Elena’s resolve to take Reno and escape as soon as possible. They need to get back home.

But, for now, she needs a place to sleep.

There are two beds that don’t appear to belong to anyone: one top bunk, and one bottom. With her broken ribs Elena knows that she has no chance of climbing a ladder, so she opts to drop the backpack on the lower bench. After a moment, she begins to undress. She still doesn’t know the full extent of what those three silver haired psychopaths had actually done to her, but she wants to do what she hadn’t had an opportunity to do before and carefully examine her injuries. What she does know is that they really goddamn hurt.

Slowly, painfully, she starts inching her purple hooded sweatshirt off her body centimeter by centimeter until it’s lying in a crumpled ball on the bench seat and she’s biting down on her lip to avoid screaming.

The purple polo shirt is easier, and she makes better time with it. It’s nearly over her head, exposing a tasteful black bra and horrific bruising along her left side, when Wen Ning enters the carriage.

Wild Card!

Reno knew what the rumors said about stops but this was his first one and he wasn't sure what to expect exactly. He wouldn't say he wasn't disappointed when it was exactly what the other passengers said it was. Just another train station, as boring as the last, though arranged slightly differently but not enough to matter. He took his time wandering the platform since there wasn't much to see but the new recruits.

But a familiar face in the crowd stopped him short. On instinct his left hand went for the baton tucked at his back, throwing it open as he raced to her side. She looked beat to hell and back again. (Were those injuries strangely familiar? Was this deja vu for some reason?) There was a growl on his face as he looked around, automatically assessing the crowd, looking for danger. A part of him realized he probably wasn't going to find any here but the Turk in him didn't let his guard down.

Oh, and he was pissed. If anyone on this Lifestream forsaken platform had hurt one of his Turks? Oh, they were so fucking dead.

"Elena!" His eyes flicked to her and a hand reached out as he examined her a little more closely. "What the hell? Are you alright? What happened?"

Yawwwwwwn. Streeeeeeeeech. The orange cat felt the weight of the strap of his bag over his back. He wasn't sure what it was yet, but wasn't that concerned at the moment. "Mmmmm, that was a good nap. What did I miss?" he asked, beginning to look around.

Wait... this... isn't his and Adrien's room in the manor. Or Adrien's room in the Tardis, or Gar's. Actually, this place doesn't look or smell familiar at all.

"Another Storm?" he asked the air with a groan. Not that he expected an answer. He huffed a bit and tried to convince himself that the Storm meant that they succeeded. After all, if the glass had made everything all static and the same there wouldn't be chaos enough for Storms. He... should try to be grateful, really.

Well, time enough to see what this Storm had in store....

"Or.... I could just go back to sleep...." he said. It was tempting. Very.

He finally looked behind him, and saw the bag that was partially draped over him. Something in there smelled familiar, and nothing else here did at the moment. So, like any cat would, he climbed into the bag to investigate. And found... his network device. Dominic's Crystal ball. He sat there in the bag and tried to call out but... nothing happened. All he could see in the crystal ball was fog.

If anyone wants to investigate the seemingly abandoned bag that is... wait.. is there something moving in there...? Feel free. He'll need he'll carrying the bag inside, anyway...

The Platform
"Bwuh..."

Wester (they roll their name around in their mind for a few seconds, testing how it feels; while it isn't right per se—what kind of loser names themself after their video game avatar, anyways, okay probably lots of other losers but the point still stands—it's a lot better than stealing Anzu's) yawns and smacks their lips as they slowly come to their senses. They instinctively stretch, leaning into the comfort of their bed-

-except Wester isn't in their bed. Which they only realize as they open their eyes, already pitching backwards towards the hard concrete of the platform. Yelping, Wester desperately wheels their arms in a vain attempt to regain their balance, their dancer's poise having completely abandoned them in the post-waking haze.

And so Wester begins falling towards another poor new passenger, having just enough presence of mind to yell, "Look out!" before succumbing to gravity's hold. Whoops.

The Train
Wester has a high tolerance for "weird stuff." Their own existence, by definition, was a weird stuff—although they had just come to terms with that before waking up on the platform, so it was still sinking in. But compared to... well, their entire lives, this really, really took the cake. Squinting at the leaflet, Wester sprawls across their seat. Missions. Multidimensional travel. All sorts of weird amenities.

But what really concerned them was that none of their friends were there. (Maybe they should be glad, on second thought.)

Groaning, Wester leans back and drops their pamphlet, sighing. "This is- wait. A... games car?"

They know it's childish, but their grin splits wide as they see it. "Oh my gosh I have to see this. Hey, can you take me there? It sounds like most of these need a partner."

“R-Reno!”

Why is Reno here? He and Rude should be far away, keeping the Jenova specimen out of Kadaj’s hands.

Still, Elena can’t help but feel a rush of relief to see her colleague here, again. “I don’t—where is this? Where’s the President? Have you seen Tseng?” She says all of this very fast, and sways a little bit when the effort makes her lightheaded. Did they give her a concussion too? Fuckers.

“Kadaj happened. And Yazoo, and Loz. What about you? Did you get away from the Crater all right?”

Scenario 1: The Platform:
'Third time's the charm,' is what Roland Crane thinks to himself, as he exhales in trepidation, eyes scrutinizing every inch of the big, black train halted before him. He is already wistful, even as the rest of his senses attune to a brand new reality. For a moment, his head swivels to the left, and then to the right, in search of familiar faces. It doesn't take him long to realize everyone around him was a stranger - good, they're going to have to get used to working without me anyway. At least it's only me, and no one essential like Bracken or Leander. Evan...

Was this what was calling me back?

He shakes his head. No, no this was different. This was neither the warm light of Evermore's magic, nor the mysterious darkness that lulled his party into Memory Lane. This was not the feeling of an ancient spell, calling him to his original home. This was unfamiliar and unreal, and wholly unexpected. He grips the handle of the bag with a tight fist, taking note of the people on the platform, some entering the train without question, others pausing in disbelief. He is already being nagged by a beep on his wrist to enter, just go in, but Roland is still searching for clues. Eventually, he knows he will have no choice. But for now...

...for now, he will stand as close to the entrance as possible, without blocking anyone's path. Staring. Observing, with arms crossed against his chest, wondering what new world has in need of him now.

Scenario 2: Train Interior, Walking to Designation 2-C
He keeps to himself for the moment, ticket in hand as his feet trudge forward, following the flow of people before him. Many seemed to be already acquainted with the Voidtrecker's inner workings, rituals being performed without missing a beat. So this isn't the first time this train's stopped at a platform. This isn't the first time it's picked people like us up, he wonders.

He will need to collect his thoughts somewhere, on something, very, very soon.

Similar to his disposition on the platform, Roland will continue to take his time finding his designated cabin. He can't help but show intrigue at the manner in which the train has allowed its people to adjust. It reminds him of home, of Tani and Batu waking up at the crack of dawn to greet Evermore with a smile and a wave; of Floyd baking bread for a hundred denizens with practiced ease; of Evan calling his closest counsel into order for a morning briefing of today's adventures.

He smiles to himself, as he crosses another train car, eyes scanning the sides for Sleeper 2. His purple hoodie keeps him warm and cozy through the wafts of cold air. An adventure...He leaves his thoughts at that for now, lest his storm of questions overtake him completely.

A little bit of time after the train's pulled up, there's a girl stepping out onto the platform. Horns made of some black stone, tail made of the same, she resembled some sort of demon.

She glances around a bit, but Roland - standing just off to the side - is pretty... obvious. "Hey, guy! Don't just stand around, you need to actually get on the train!"

Ifrit knows people out there are probably confused. She was like this just a couple weeks ago. But seriously, did they expect to find answers out there? Stupid. Just get on the damned train already, right? Her inner monologue skips over the fact she also wasted a lot of time questioning people out on the platform. Let's not dwell on that.

"Watch it---"

The tall man wearing a 'council rep' pin on his orange polo turns out to be an old foe. He isn't much more graceful as he swings his arms down to catch the flash of orange that must be a wayward teammate---oh. Just his luck. For all Kaiba had to say about Yugi's natural gift of attracting friends, of course his boyfriend's dweeb friends would start to show up on the train at some point.

"Mazaki?" he squints once he's set them back on their feet. Looks like someone's had a rough night, or something. "Nice of you to drop in."

Then, after a second of thought, he looks a little concerned. "It doesn't usually hit that hard. Should I call a healer?"

[While describing her as a bit disoriented would be an understatement, the young woman with cat ears and tail was very likely less so than some standing around on the platform. She looked down at her purple hoodie and unfamiliar clothes, at the weird magitek on her wrist, then up at the platform ceiling with a deep frown and heavy sigh as if to say to no one present, 'are you serious?'.]

[The last mysterious ghost train she'd been on hadn't exactly been all that much of a pleasant ride. But with little else in sight at the moment, she adjusted her glasses and quickly stepped on board with an irritated flick of a long tail. Once she was out of the way enough, she quickly checked through the backpack she'd arrived with...after a moment, pulling out a small object and uneasily turning it over a few times in her hand. That wasn't the combat gear she'd hoped for, ears flicking in dissatisfaction-...gods damn this train to the seven hells, she didn't even have her earrings. Little as there was to be done about it now, if she found whoever's smart idea this was they were going to hear about that.]

[b; departure;]

[She had settled (as much as she could all things considered) into the dining car when the train began to depart, still turning a small stone over and over in her hand. Alisaie was going to kill her if this train didn't loop right back around and put her where she'd come from. Just reach right through the Void and ver-punch her in the nose, never mind what the others would all say.]

[...That said, the Void didn't look like she'd clearly expected it to. Distracted for the moment from whatever she was thinking about, she watched the shifting colors out the window in some definite confusion.]

[c; sleeper cabins/3-E;]

[So, all in all today could have gone better. But as usual, there was nothing to do but make the best of a bad situation until hopefully some-people-who-would-remain-nameless tracked her down and yanked her back across worlds. Or whatever else was going to happen, she really didn't know. As it grew whatever passed for later into the evening, she walked the sleeper cabins quietly before finding the one with her own name on it, walking in and settling on the first visibly empty bed with a sigh. And if anyone else had gotten to the room first:]

...Looks like we're to be roommates for a while. I'll keep out of your way.

The smoke is strange, although the moment she moves, even slightly, it's the clothing that has her attention once her eyes focus, Yanli staring down at the odd garments she's now wearing before looking around. Most of the others are dressed the same, but her white robes being gone is unsettling.

Fingers reach up, finding even her headband gone before she turns her head again, face searching the crowd. The last thing she remembers is seeing A-Xian's face, reaching for him and now.

Now she's here.

Wherever here is. Her fingers flex before she takes a step forward. Whatever this is, it's where she's meant to be, right. However strange it seems, she's here for a reason.

Cabin

It's hours later before she finally finds her room and her head is reeling a little from everything so she hesitates in the doorway, looking over the room for a long moment before taking what looks like an unoccupied bed and depositing her bag beside it.

Then she's just moving to lie down, draping an arm over her eyes and trying will her brain to be quiet so she can rest.

Eva steps out with a yawn, having already returned all her pokemon, the roughly tennis-to-baseball sized 'balls hooked onto her 'belt and only partly visibly under the orange hoodie. For those who know her will notice a new pendant sitting proudly atop said hoodie. Cast in shimmering coloured metal, it's three feathers (blue, yellow, red) bound by pink 'fur' and it hangs from a braided leather cord.

Her excitement, though, fades as she looks out at those leaving, and while jealously does flash her face, it also morphs into sadness as an angry, bitter curse escapes her lips. She knew many of them, if not personally, then because of her friends. While yes it is arguable they'll be returning home, they don't know that for sure and Eva hates it.

Yet she can't think about how unfair this all is right now; not when she has a job to do and a handful of welcome guides in hand and it's a sigh she heads into the gathered crowd, aiming for those in Orange first. "Hi. I'm Eva and I've got something that will help explain what's going on."

TRAIN
Kitchen/Dining cars
One of the first things Eva does after getting her berries is head, not to the greenhouse, but to the kitchen to make a large berry-fruit drink out of pinap, cheri and oran berries. She's careful to keep some back for planting at a later date, though. But right now? brb making a drink she's missed.

Once she's done, she heads to the dining car and flops down and takes a good slurp of said drink. "Gods, I didn't know something could taste so good..." And then promptly turns to the nearest person with a bit of a shit-eating grin. "Wanna taste?"

If you take her up, the drink is rather spicy. Then again, there's two pinap and two cheri berries, both known for their spiciness. There's a sad attempt with an oran berry to make it less so, but... still rather spicy.

Training Gym
Eventually, Eva (with Lele in tow) makes her way to the training gym, where she sets about making some sort of basic obstacle course to run through. And running is what she does, but there's also leaping, jumping, ducking, and weaving around the various holograms her porygon2 throws her way, and slowly, a grin starts to form. It's not home and it's not real; for one, she's not got any of her pokemon actually out- if Princess or Dancer are there, it's because they're holograms. Any attacks thrown about are bright pink, and many of the pokemon Eva's weaving or dodging around are smaller than they should be. But, it doesn't matter. Not when it feels good to push herself like this, to let her experience with danger show.

She really also don't care if anyone joins in, or if some of the stunts she pulling look dangerous or like she's been pulling the for a while. By the end of the workout, she's collapsed in a boneless heap besides Lele, grin on her face. "The Four, but I think I'm out of shape a little."

Lele seems to bob in agreement with that assessment.

Eva's Pokemon are out and about
For Princess, new people mean more people to try and con into feeding him or pets or steal laps from. He's cute, see? :3c. That said, for those that know him, he's actually remarkably well-behaved and leaving people alone if they don't pay attention. Though, it's also no secret Eva's been strict with the clefairy since she took him back from Kaito. Something about sitting on books is not allowed?

Dancer spends most of her time flying the train, the red oricocolo perched on whatever high places/out of the way places she can find as she people watches. Or maybe she's doing acrobatic ariel dances in those cars she can, the faint shimmer of heat coming off her, wing-tips sparking with the occasional flicker of flame. If approached directly, people will get a warble-trill of greeting and a curious look.

Lele is, if not with Eva in the new Gym Car, just there, often in a corner. The porygon2, though Very Neon Green, is just there. Not sounds, no nothing, and one would think it's not even alive if not for the fact it bobs in the air, seems to give of robotic vibe, and occasional shift of cars. Anyone who approaches gets a fullbody tilt, as if to say 'yes?'.

[ Relief. Relief surges through her. It's over. She's truly done all she can, searching all day and night for someone powerful enough to help her. Stranger after stranger until they all blurred into one face, one voice, one rejection.

But, of course, she should have known. No one was gonna come. It was all for nothing, but... but... no one will look down on her and dare say she didn't try. He's smiling, smiling, smiling... He's close, and her legs are heavy with exhaustion and light with dread all at once. A hundred more curses are ready on her tongue, to be spat into his grinning face. And then, he's not smiling. Like a lamp blown out.

Now, she thinks, straightening up, facing him. The relief again. Just one movement of his-- no, of Daozhang's sword, and she can die. It can be over. He doesn't go for his sword, opens his other hand, instead. She blinks against a sudden stinging in her eyes, starts to scream, unbidden--

Everything is grey. The air smells of... of so many things she doesn't recognise, but mostly it smells of steam and metal. The air is cold, but she's warm, for the first time in too long, and the sweet taste on the tip of her tongue is gone. She's overbalanced without realising, her cane vanished from her hands and an unfamiliar weight on her back, and she catches herself painfully against smooth stone, not damp river soil.

It's over.

The steam clears, the train whistle sounds. She's surrounded by strangers, some not even human. Overwhelmed, a thin, ragged girl in an incongruously clean blue uniform curls up on the platform and starts to sob. ]

The Platform (Yukito): Part One - [It wasn't uncommon for Yukito to fall asleep suddenly and find himself somewhere else, but it had stopped happening so frequently that he had dismissed it's happening from his mind. However as he opened his eyes to find a white haze all around him, he couldn't help wondering...]

Where... Where am I?

Part Two - [A breeze ruffles his hair and then there is a sound that causes him to lift his hands to his ears to cover them. From out of the mist a train appears and slows to a stop before him. Doors open and from inside people exit and... walk past him.

Puzzled he did call to them only to be ignored. The people walk away and vanish...

But more appear. A hustle and bustle of people bringing things with them.

Yukito grows more and more confused as he stands there watching it all happen. He would grab the closest person's attention, a confused and anxious tone to his voice as he speaks.]

Uhm, excuse me? But what is going on here?

The Platform (Yue): Part One - [It wasn't long before a bright light would appear on the platform. A young man surrounded by a pure, cold white light and then a flutter of wings.

A white robed man stands, beautiful and angry, cold blue eyes scan his surroundings with growing irritation.

This place. What is it?

The Platform (Yue/Yukito): Part Two - [Frustrated with the answers he had been given, Yue had had enough.

With a powerful beat of his wings he flew straight up. He would not stay in this maddening place another moment more.

However, as he flew it became increasingly clear to him that there was no escape. He hit a wall. His eyes flashed, anger surging through him as he attempted to push through, ignoring the strange urge that suddenly overcame him to return to the ground, ignoring the annoying buzzing at his wrist.

But it was the voice in his head. The voice of the other that was bothering him the most. Begging for them to go back. Yue ignored it for as long as he could. In the end he he growled.]

To hell with you all.

[In his anger he forgot. In his anger didn't consider what he was doing. In his anger... he returned to his human form... And as he did, as the bright light vanished... Yukito began to scream as he plummeted quickly to the ground.]

Departure - [Still shaken from his ordeal, Yukito had made his way onto the train. He'd been given a leaflet and very little warning before a voice called for them to sit.

He didn't find a seat fast enough.

The train lurched and Yukito went with it, hitting a wall and sliding down it, his glasses falling off when he hit the ground.

He was not having the best of days.]

Sleeper 1, Cabin E - [Somehow his luck had changed and he found his cabin. Stepping inside he found four beds, he had no idea which would be his so rather than unpack, he moved to one of the bunks that looked freshly made and sat himself down.

He removed his glasses... And then dropped his head into his hands as a wave of exhaustion took him. And sadness.

Home. Touya... Would he see them again? Why was he even there? Nothing made sense to him.]

Wildcard - [Through the day Yukito might walk around to see where everything is. Feel free to meet him in any of the areas of the train.]

Luggage Carriage... and then off and about: Maru didn't run. It should be noted that he did not run. But anyone who knew him well enough would have been able to tell there was definite eagerness in his expression and the way he moved.

He had ordered a thing. He wasn't sure if he had done it right but he'd been informed a package was waiting for him so he went to see if he had ordered it right.

It only took a brief search before he found what he was looking for and crouched to get the package open.

There was a smile. Small as it may be, Maru looked pleased.

He pulled his jacket out only to drop it and peel off his hoodie so he could replace it with his favourite jacket. He buttoned it up as it should be. Fixed the hood. And felt immediately better about himself. This was something comfortably familiar.

He went to find Madoka.

Well, that's another thing for the Welcome Guide.

But, Eva doesn't think, she just acts: with a flash of light, Princess is out by her side. "Te! Catch him!"

The pokemon's eyes glow a soft pink as he catches the falling man via Telekinesis, though catch is all it does and Eva pitches her voice so she can be heard about the hubbub of the crowd.

"Hey! Can anyone get up there? Princess can't hold him that long!"

And she really doesn't want to play the catch-release-catch game to get him down safely.

[ A pile of blankets under the table wiggled at the noise of the door opening, and by the time he'd sat down, half a head had emerged.

She made sure that her eyes were visible, blind-white and still swollen with irritation from crying. She wanted the guy to make it obvious if he was gonna move towards her. Not that he looked up to much, but. ]

W-who's there?

Roland blinks and wastes no time turning to the voice presumably addressing him. Guy? Although her appearance was humanoid, he does find the black horns and the tail slightly surprising. But Roland's face does not betray a single thought, for he was already used to meeting creatures of all kinds back home anyway. He has an inkling, however, that he's only hit the tip of the iceberg, and that there will plenty more beings to discover as he rides the train.

They're bringing in all walks of life, huh? That's interesting.

"Yeah, I get that." He replies. He turns back to assess the facade of the train once more. "Just...taking it all in, I guess." An idea pops into his thoughts shortly after. He takes a few steps towards the girl and makes a gesture to the front of the platform.

"This is probably a long shot, but I won't get detained or punished for trying to see the conductor's train cart, right?"

He was falling and falling, it felt like forever but it may have only been a second or three. He screamed his throat raw as if that would help him somehow...

And then with a sudden jolt he was stopped, but he was stopped in mid air. Hanging there motionless.

Yukito was breathing hard, panicked beyond anything he had ever experienced before, sure that he was going to die... And then he passed out. The stress too much for him to deal with. He went limp within the hold that was keeping him stationary in the air.

Glorfindel was on his way to the luggage car to pick up his own purchases when he saw Maru in his humanform wearing a stylish jacket.

"Hello, that looks...well, not new, but new to here. Just got it?"

[Yukito almost passed out again from shock when a blurry head appeared at his side and a voice spoke.

He grabbed for the glasses he had placed beside himself and pushed them on so he could actually see who the voice belonged to. And blinked at the young girl. She looked to have been crying. She looked...]

My name is Yukito. I'm sorry, I didn't realise you were here.

[He spoke in a gentle voice and smiled, injecting that sound into his voice also, since it appeared the girl was blind.]

I'm sorry if I disturbed you?

Platform

Settling into a relatively quiet corner of the platform, Zelda is mostly content to people-watch and enjoy the outside while she can. In her hands is her ocarina, at times brought to her lips to absently improvise a tune.

The song goes a bit softer and sadder as the former passengers depart- they’re arguably the lucky ones, she supposes, but neither farewells nor losses of choice are pleasant things to witness. Otherwise it’s a sweet, meandering tune, in no hurry to finish.

Luggage

Zelda’s package is shaking.

It’s only noticeable if you’re paying attention, just like the faint, irregular clicking noise which also emanates from the closed box in her arms. Zelda doesn’t look worried, though she does notably step away from anyone brushing too close.

Eventually, there are few enough people around that she feels comfortable opening it- and any bystander will see an angry set of teeth snap out of the box, aiming for the girl’s face. She pulls away, unsurprised- if anything, she might be a bit amused.

Glorfindel didn't like going out on the Train dock, but he was making an effort. He tsked as he saw that someone had left their bag on the dock.

He bent down and picked it up, slinging it over his shoulder. He'd just go drop it off inside.

Shiny Guy. Maru stopped when he was spoken to, because he didn't actually mind this guy so talking to him was fine. Plus he'd asked about his jacket.

"It's from home. It's my favourite." He'd had it for a long time and it felt as much a part of him as anything else about himself.

Allen hadn't been sure what to expect whenever they arrive at a new platform. Someone asking someone to catch another person was admittedly a surprising new thing. But Allen was someone who is asked for help was just going to do it.

Quickly activating his innocence he used the white cowl to move himself. "I got him." Thankfully Allen could get high enough to take the other carefully before the cowl slowly lowered him down.

"There we go."

A feline yowl was what he was met with, as well as a double thud as the bag hit his back. One of the thuds was the cat that cried out surprised. The other... was a crystal ball.

"Hey! Someone needs to let the cat out of the bag!" a voice called from within.
