Party Time
Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.
[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.
In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]
OOC: Examples of the type of outfits and such can be found here: costumes and
masks]

... Buh?
Where did she go?
Confused, Della lifted up her mask and walked around, trying to figure it out. "I thought the phrase was seeing double, not seeing... nothing?"
no subject
But now she's seeing the downside. If she's no bigger than a mouse and not very noticable, there's a very high probability that someone at the party might just step on her with how many people are present.
So Della may hear a very, very tiny voice coming from all the way down near her feet, barely audible over the music: "Watch where you're going!"
If she looks down, she'll see the older Alice - still looking the same as a moment ago, still wearing her dress and all. Just.. very tiny.
no subject
blink rapidly a few times...
And then casually wave. "Oh, hey there." As if this was completely normal
She bent down, choosing to stay on her prosthetic leg in case she was going to be there for a while. "Need help moving to a safer spot?"
no subject
"That would be appreciated, I suppose." Better to accept help from a stranger than to get trampled.. Especially since she doesn't have her hiccups under control because of these nerves the way she usually does.
no subject
"All right, hop on." She held out her hand, laying it flat so Alice could climb on. "How about I put you on the snack table? Plenty of grub to go around."
Della... was willing to eat anything, so all the burnt/raw food didn't seem worth mentioning.
no subject
And that's saying something, considering the food back home in London - let alone in the asylum - wasn't exactly high cuisine. But at least it wasn't charcoal either, okay.
But despite her complaint about the food, Alice does get up on Della's hand after a moment. Trusting a stranger like this is kind of unnerving, so she summons her - now very, very tiny - knife in one hand. Just in case. Not like it'd do more than prick at this size, but it just makes her feel more secure to hold it.
no subject
She moved her hand to her shoulder. "Wanna have a seat, and you tell me where you want to go?"
no subject
Especially as she hops onto Della's shoulder and sits down there. With her being this tiny, she almost looks more like the most petulant little child, despite already being at the end of her teens.
"Do you really think people feel less threatened when they're told not to be?" .. Well, okay, some people might. But not paranoid Alice over here. "And I don't have anywhere I want to go. I just don't want to be dealing with people right now."
no subject
"Theeeeen... why are you at a party? They're kinda famous for having a lot of people around." Not judging, just honestly curious.
no subject
"I came here with company."
no subject
"Want me to help find them?" She offered, gesturing at the crowd. "Are they all... your size too?"
no subject
But explaining that she shrunk out of nerves and social awkwardness is awful. Terrible. She's not going anywhere near that topic.
"So no, he is regular people sized. But I--" She starts, stops, lets out a sigh. This whole situation is so frustrating. Why do social situations have to be so hard? It was much easier when it was just her and her imaginary land. "I'd rather not have him see me like this."
no subject
"In that case... want me to get you out of here? I can put you in your cabin, or where you wanna chill." Della could always return to the party later, it was no biggie. This person needed help, so she would help, plain and simple.
no subject
"Perhaps just take me right outside of the carriage for a moment. I might be able to grow myself back to my regular size." And outside of the party is a better place to attempt that than in here, where she's very likely to be trambled once she's on the ground if she doesn't pay close attention to everyone's feet.
no subject
"Name's Della Duck. I just arrived here a little while ago. You looked a little familiar, that's I headed on over."
no subject
Alice sounds rather surprised at that. Of course "looked familiar" means that she's thinking more of everything back home than a resemblance she may have to a certain other someone here, which means that Alice is quickly going through her memory to see if she has a memory of any talking ducks in Wonderland..
.. well, she's pretty sure certainly not any that looked anything like Della. So that leaves the question wide open.
"Why?"
no subject
Must not shrug! Must not shrug!
no subject
"Ah.. Yes, that would be me." At least that explanation makes sense. It's probably the only one that'd make sense in a place like this. "We're very different from one another though, so I'm hoping you weren't expecting to meet another nice kid."
no subject
"Besides, I'd like to get to know you for you."
no subject
Although she does think her own case is rather unique. After all, she's really hoping that somehow the younger Alice can turn into a better older Alice. One that isn't incredibly broken and much ruder than she ought to be. It's a sentiment she keeps to herself though, in favour of:
"You wouldn't be the first person here to say that." Her tone is almost slightly exasperated, despite the topic.. "Why are the people here so oddly friendly?"
no subject
no subject
So clearly it's time to keep focusing on Della rather than her own feelings.
"Even if it's on a train hurdling through quite literally nowhere?"
no subject
no subject
Alice tries to imagine her family doing something like this. It's.. hard, for sure, and not just because they've been dead for so long. They were just always so domestic that she can't imagine them all going on a wild adventure like this together.
".. I do suppose you'd get used more easily to something like this if you were doing it already back home."
no subject
Ducktales, woo-oo.
how dare you get that song in my head
i'd say i'm sorry but i'm not
