Party Time
Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.
[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.
In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]
OOC: Examples of the type of outfits and such can be found here: costumes and
masks]

Or, more accurately, dragged into the gym carriage.
But at least he's dressed up even if he doesn't have a mask on him. Considering most people do, and this is a masquerade party it's probably worth asking him about.
He picks out a handful of things that look like they're not too undercooked; burnt food doesn't bother him much. "Not bad," Sam says after a few bites. He honestly doesn't seem to be lying, either.
What the hell has he been eating that burnt food doesn't bother him?
At least he's... attempting to mingle, as stilted and awkward as it is. "I'm surprised we get downtime around here." That is probably the most awkward hello of all time, but there was an attempt.

While others had gone flashy or extravagant, Maru's choice of clothing had pretty much been a hoodie in black rather than the blue he preferred (or the orange of his team). He did wear a mask, but that was only because it was cat-like and amused him.
He gave a slow shrug after approaching the man, no hello's, just straight into the small talk. That was fine. "... I think that's all there is between fighting." He replied. "It's not exactly a military operation."
no subject
He leaves it at that, though, apparently just as uncomfortable with speaking to people as Maru.

Music wasn't really his thing, but if it was it wouldn't have been this bouncy, bubbly pop stuff that everyone else seemed to enjoy.
no subject
He really only listens to music whenever it's brought up and recommended to him, honestly.

It being popular music makes sense, sure, but Sam also wouldn't really know what that means. "It's not bad, I guess. Not like I have much to compare it to."
no subject
"You live in a world with no music then? ... What do you do for fun?"
no subject
"When I was delivering packages in the Eastern Region, I met an aspiring musician; he gave me a harmonica for helping him out."
It kinda sounds like Sam doesn't do anything for fun.
no subject
"Can you play it?" He asked then, curious despite himself.
no subject
Now that he thinks about it, that's a little odd. "Nothin' fancy or anything. It's just a little tune."
no subject
"What was it like?" The words were out of his mouth before he had time to think them though.
no subject
But... it's different here, where nobody knows him, knows who he is. So he doesn't see the harm. "It goes like this," he says, before whistling a little tune.
no subject
"I like it." He decided once the tune was over. "You really don't remember where you heard it?"
no subject
Given his apparently age— easily in his late 40s, if not 50, it's certainly been a long time. He seems to brush it off, though. "Ain't much of a song, I know. But Lou always enjoys it."
no subject
"If you like it that's what matters."

Crowley had stepped away from their company to assess the refreshments, having found what little alcohol there was available and committed to drinking all of it. Sam was not a person they'd met before, but their comment caught Crowley's attention.
"It's all downtime, if you refuse to take orders."

They swipe a longer piece of hair behind their ear, sighing to themselves before taking a drink. "Although I haven't been on one of those missions, yet. Have you?"
no subject
"Ain't the fault of the people in trouble we were brought here against our will."
no subject
"But there's helping those in need, and then there's taking orders from a faceless entity that doesn't seem to care about them to begin with." Crowley shrugs, it sounds a lot like Someone they know. "Subtle differences."
no subject
He's pretty used to taking orders from people he can't trust as it is. "I take it you're being a little more specific than government work." Sam isn't a fool; he doesn't think anyone ever has entirely benevolent intentions. "I'd argue by having us help in the first place, whoever's running this thing cares enough."
no subject
Crowley looks over the dance floor a moment before returning their gaze to Sam, a bit of a smile on their lips, "The company's not terrible, though. I can get along here."
no subject
He glances over to the dance floor, looking like he hasn't even considered going near it. Sam doesn't look like he's done much dancing in his entire life. "I'm sure you'll do fine."
no subject
"Of course," they sigh, deciding it time they take their leave and find the date they left somewhere across the room. "Well, cheers."
