Party Time

Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.

[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.

In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]

OOC: Examples of the type of outfits and such can be found here: costumes and
masks]

"Yeah," Sam nods. "I play this song for Lou sometimes. It's..." he trails off, frowning. "You know, I don't remember where I heard it from. But I've whistled it for as long as I can remember."

Now that he thinks about it, that's a little odd. "Nothin' fancy or anything. It's just a little tune."

His head tilted, looking even more curious as the older guy spoke. A little tune he whistles? Did he know anyone who whistled like that? Not really. He wondered why people would even do that, though he supposed if this guy loved in a world where music wasn't common you'd want to do anything to make some kind of noise.

"What was it like?" The words were out of his mouth before he had time to think them though.

He hesitates, like he does every time he's been asked about something about himself.

But... it's different here, where nobody knows him, knows who he is. So he doesn't see the harm. "It goes like this," he says, before whistling a little tune.

Maru wouldn't have minded if the man had said no, he knew it was probably a strange thing to ask. But he was also oddly fascinated. So when the man started to whistle, he listened attentively. Of course he had no idea what the tune was, but it was a nice one.

"I like it." He decided once the tune was over. "You really don't remember where you heard it?"

"No," Sam says, sounding a little bothered now that he's really had time to think about it. "I've known it for as long as I can remember."

Given his apparently age— easily in his late 40s, if not 50, it's certainly been a long time. He seems to brush it off, though. "Ain't much of a song, I know. But Lou always enjoys it."

"Maybe it's just a tune then? Maybe something your mum hummed when you were little?" He remembered some songs, little tunes, hundreds of years old... He couldn't say how or why or where they'd come from. But they were in his head.

"If you like it that's what matters."

"Couldn't have come from her," Sam says shaking his head. But he doesn't seem to care. "She wasn't the type to do something like that." He leaves it at that, though.

"You're right, though. It's not really important where it came from."

"Oh... Well then, no matter where it came from, it's nice." Maru gave a little shrug, not quite looking at the older man. It had been a nice tune and, while it would have been interesting to know where it came from, it didn't matter. So long as it made the person happy it was a good thing, right?
