Party Time

Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.

[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.

In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]

[A bit later, after a trip to the dressing car, Lea headed back to the party, having managed to find something that fit him among the remaining costumes, a long with a fiery facemask. It looked good on him, but he looked rather awkward about wearing it, fussing with various bits of it as he went and somewhat wishing he had his old Black Coat; it would have likely worked as a costume and been more comfortable.

Upon getting back to the party, he wound up standing around the side of the dance floor watching people and sipping a cup of punch. He looks like he wants to dance but upon realizing he'd somewhat misjudged the party initially, he's been left standing around like an awkward middle-schooler. Someone might need to convince him to get out there.]

Glorfindel saw the tall redhead looking like he needed to dance and came over. "You are standing still, please come out and dance with me?" he asked, flollowed by a bow.

Lea looked mildly surprised that the equally tall blonde was asking him to dance, but he nodded. "Alright, sure," he said, setting his punch down. "Just fair warning though, if you're looking for a fancier type slow dance, I'm only sort of passable at those." He wasn't sure why, but this guy looked like the type who'd prefer those sorts of dances.

"I'm only passable at the faster dances," Glorfindel said with a laugh. "So we'll even out!"

Lea smiled. "Heh, fair enough," he said.

When they headed out onto the dance floor though, the song that came up was while fairly fast, also an odd choice for dancing, and Lea couldn't help but chuckle. "OK, what even is this? I mean, it's a fun song, but how do you dance to it?"

Glorfindel had to listen to it for a moment, before his body started moving to the beat. "It is faster paced that I am used to, but not impossible, I think."

"Am I right in that 'Awesome' is good?" he asked.

Lea nodded and took his cue from Glorfindel with regards to dancing. The result was somewhat awkward, but hey, as long as they were both having fun, right?

He was more sure on the meaning of the word 'awesome' though. "Yeah," he said. "It means 'great' or 'wonderful' when used like this. 'Cool' in this song also means good, though it's not usually quite as strong a word."

"So 'cool' isn't as awesome as 'awesome?'" he asked, continuing to move to the music. Really, once you got the beat down, it was just keeping the rhythm.

"Usually, yeah," Lea said. "Though some people use them interchangeably. A lot of it depends on the context. And of course, whether or not the person is being sarcastic."

Glorfindel looked confused. "There's a sarcastic element? To which one?" he asked.

"In the song, neither," Le said. "But either one can be used sarcastically, the same way words like 'great' or 'wonderful' can. Though 'awesome' is used sarcastically way more often, in my experience."
