Party Time

Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.

[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.

In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]

"That's amazing!" Duo was utterly captivated by this conversation and learning about these amazing people he would, sadly, never get to meet.

Unless someone devised a way to jump between worlds. Now THAT would be nice. Duo would jump on board with that kind of tech.

"... Your world sounds wild!"

She gave a laugh of her own. "It can get pretty crazy." In both the good and bad ways.

Folding her hands together, she then rested her chin on top of them as she looked at him. "Tell me a little bit about your world," she said after a moment. "I know you said the people are normal, but is there anything else about it?"

Duo had known the conversation would eventually turn to him and his world, and he'd kind of wanted to avoid it some. But maybe... he could put a bit of a spin on it all?

"My world? I guess technically I was born on a colony above the world. The planet, Earth, kinda..." He paused, thinking about it. "Couple hundred years ago they decided to solve over population by making colonies in space. Big space stations that were basically condensed worlds. They shipped a bunch of people there and they lived their lives. Each colony was kinda different to the others, kinda like the countries on Earth."

Duo gave a bit of a sad smile. "But, there was a war... Honestly, there's been so many over the years, little fights and rebellions, it was only a matter of time before an actual war happened. Dunno what it is about people, they're never satisfied... But anyway, I was part of the guys trying to stop the war. And before I got here? We'd actually done it! They were in peace talks. All the war machines were being dismantled or... blown up. Treaties were being signed." His smile had widened by now. "Just a shame I'll never get to see all that happen."

"Oh wow...you were able to stop a war? That's amazing." She tilted her head a bit. "But why won't you get to see the peace treaties signed? Because you're here?"

"Well, I had help." Duo grinned. Lots and lots of help. But he was pretty sure it was him and the other Gundam Pilots who had made the difference.

"Yeah, I'm here. Not there. Who knows how time works back home? Could still be moving ahead without me, could be on pause waiting for me to come back, no idea." And it bothered him that he didn't know, but what could he do about that?

She nodded a bit. "That's true." It was something she worried about herself, thinking about how things were going back home. "But even if you don't get to see the peace treaties signed, you'll get to see them acted out whenever you go back?"

"There's that." Duo agreed cheerfully. "Might be nice to see a little peace in my lifetime." It was something he'd never experienced, actual peace. Duo wondered what it would look like.

She smiled. "Here's hoping you get to see that, then."

"Fingers crossed!" Duo held up his crossed fingers to prove it and laughed.
