Error 4639

Day Twenty Two starts as any other day onboard the Voidtrecker Express. The morning announcement and then passengers are free to fall back to sleep or get up and start the day. Breakfast is made. However not so long after the wake up call anyone near an ICP point will see it flash bright white.

A moment later there is a message. It shows on the screens for fifteen minutes and indeed anyone trying to use the ICPs for anything else will have trouble as it seems determined to be all that they can access. Then the screen goes white again. Bold text flashes up.

Error code 4639. Program must end.

The screen goes black and stays black. Every ICP on the train is down. That is not all. When passengers try and speak to each other they will learn that whatever it was that allowed them to understand each other has stopped working.

Hopefully that won't cause too much mayhem...

If you don't mind me asking, how did you manage to learn the chart so quickly?

[personal profile] stillnewatthis 2020-06-30 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I put it into remember.

[Yeah. Definitely not a perfect translation at all.]
alchemists: (Should pats)

[personal profile] alchemists 2020-07-04 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
So you memorized it?
stillnewatthis: (yellow glare)

[personal profile] stillnewatthis 2020-07-04 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[Translate translate.]

Yes.

[That is not entirely correct, but she can't explain better.]
alchemists: (hmmmm)

[personal profile] alchemists 2020-07-07 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I see, that is one way to go about it.

[ Elfnein will just have to ask more when this is all over on how the memorization works. ]

As robot Orisa thinks differently. Not very different. Some different.

[She is trying!]
alchemists: (everything is alright)

I understand, you just have a different way of seeing the information presented.

Yes! [And at least 'yes' and 'no' are easy enough to communicate.] First tongue?
alchemists: (in the game I'll have cards right?)

[personal profile] alchemists 2020-07-13 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, as far as I can remember I've been able to speak Japanese.

[That's curious phrasing, but Orisa chalks it up to her dictionary-translate.]

You are from Japan?
alchemists: (wave)

[personal profile] alchemists 2020-07-18 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I'm from Japan.
stillnewatthis: (hello!)

[personal profile] stillnewatthis 2020-07-18 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh! I am from Numbani.

[personal profile] alchemists 2020-07-29 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't been there before, but if the place you're from has such advanced technology I would love to know more.
stillnewatthis: (stop!)

[personal profile] stillnewatthis 2020-07-29 01:47 pm (UTC)(link)
When we can talk right again. If I can.

[She can't explain much when running off of a machine translation!]

I would like that a lot.
