Who: Tony + Varies
Where: Tony's lab and then the medical room
When: Early Grasshopper 3- Grasshopper 4
What: Between bad self-care and poor ventilation while working on specific chemicals, Tony passes out
Warnings: CW: Distress and medical stuff? Tony being Tony? Idk.
Notes: Tony's classes are going to be suspended for a couple weeks.

Grasshopper 3, The Incident [Narrative]
It'd been a rough few weeks. He'd made a decision to end his relationship with Ignis only to have the man disappear. He had to watch the man depart on platform day and hold his child as she mourned the loss. His other kid, Peter, was a mess with losing May and still not over Gwen leaving- not that he blamed the boy at all. Wei and his son leaving had been hard to watch too.

So, he coped as he always coped- by working. The pressure to find a cure for a boy who deserved to have his life back spurred him on as well. Working closely with Peter and sometimes Conan, he knew they were getting close. With just a little more coffee, a little more bourbon, he was sure they were going to get that breakthrough.

He'd woken up early and returned to his work. In a beaker, he added a chemical compound he'd created over the last few days and watched the reaction. He winced as the reaction kicked up an awful smell. Turning to write some notes, he felt the room start to spin. The coffee cup fell out of his hand and broke on the floor. Coughing, he couldn't catch his breath. Putting a hand to his chest, he felt pain lance through his body stemming from his heart. Just when he hit the floor, he didn't know but the world turned black.

The Rescue [Closed to Kitty, the Doctor, and whoever else she might need (medical people, idk?)]

When Kitty finds him, he's on the floor barely breathing. It's not quite a heart attack but the symptoms are really similar. A few of the coffee cup shards dug into his skin when he fell. He needs help and fast!

Grasshopper 3 (late) and Grasshopper 4, Medical Room [OTA]

He spent the majority of the day asleep. Slowly sometime that evening, Tony woke feeling weak and disoriented. He groaned finding himself in the medical room. That was never a good sign.

Alice did climb into the bed beside him, tiny as she is, she's made tinier without all her skirts and petticoats, wearing only a medical coach gown. She's not very big, but she looks all of her 3'8". She adjusts the gown as she snuggles into Tony.

"Memory loss, fat- tiredness," she didn't remember the word fatigue properly. "Um... some minor anger problems and... well, I was seeing things... hallucinating," she blushed because it felt embarrassing. "They want me to stay here until our next mission to be safe. I was even asleep when they brought you in."

Tony adjusted the blankets so she could enjoy some of the heat. He always knew she was little, but she seemed particularly vulnerable now and it was making him feel all the more protective.

"Anger? Darling, what were you feeling angry about?" He had glanced over the symptoms of void sickness before, but it was one thing to read about it and another for a child- a child he cared for- to be experiencing it. He made a sympathetic 'tsk' at her blush. Gently he gave her an affectionate squeeze. "Hey, don't feel bad. None of that is your fault."

He hadn't thought about the next mission. It was likely coming up. His gut twisted with guilt, knowing he wouldn't be there to lead his team.

"It... I was angry about my forgetting, I was trying to bake biscuits. I would put in the eggs and the sugar and flour, and then I would see the empty bowls the sugar and flour had been in, I would throw out the eggshells so I didn't see them, and I would forget and put in more all over again. It kept happening. I got upset that I kept... and then I would forget words or..." she shook her head. "I threw bowls all over the ground because of my forgetting. I didn't... I've never done anything like that before."

"That would be scary," he agreed, with a frown. "I get angry when I forget too." It didn't usually happen except for times like this. "No one likes to feel vulnerable."

The corner of his lip curled upward though, as he remembered a similar mess he made in the kitchen. "You've forgiven yourself for making a mess, right? You know, I had a food fight in there a few months ago. The place was covered in flour and water." He chuckled, remembering wrestling with Peter. It had been a remarkably effective stress reliever.

"A food fight? I wonder what kind of foods would fight? Boxed goods, perhaps, for boxing... or oh! Something with a kick!" she smiled. "How did you convince the food to fight? Did you make the proper introductions?" Unfortunately, or who knew, fortunately, for Tony Alice had had experience with actual talking food.

....

This was another 'whale language' moment wasn't it? He had to give the girl some credit (or maybe he was stretching this just to make her seem less stupid) but she had a remarkable amount of creativity. It's okay Alice, Tony knows everyone has stupid moments, even he has had those.

"What? No.. I mean Peter and I were in the kitchen and we started throwing food at each other. Food is inanimate. It's not alive. You don't need to introduce yourself to it." Just in case she didn't know, he was going to explain it.

"Food is inanimate here but not in the Looking Glass. I was starving and wasn't allowed to eat the leg of mutton because I was introduced to it and it certainly didn't let me eat it. But I've never had a food fight before. I've never... a lot of things before coming here."
