But is the suitcase yummy?
Who: Najaran and Duo
Where: Baggage car
When: backdated to the day before the mission
What: Najaran returns for hiatus, tries to eat her way out of a box....
Warnings: possible violence and gross mentions? Probably nothing worse than that.
Najaran blinked a few times. It was dark. She could feel Goligan in her hand, but beyond that she had no clue where she was. A year ago there would have been screaming and kicking and lashing out at everything she could reach, which seemed to be everything as where she was was small as well as dark.
But since then she'd been kidnapped by the Black Cepters reviving the Lord of Flies. She'd been trapped in the Bisteam mushroom room. She'd been kidnapped by the people her Master sent to fetch her. She'd had to feed some of Grubel's more terrifying cards. She was no longer the little girl she was a year ago.
Now she knew how to get out of a trap. Well... She knew a way that had worked most times so far...
Najaran turned her head to the nearest wall and somehow managed to find just enough protrusion of... something... that she could get her mouth around. She then proceeded to attempt to chew her way out of the trap.
Hey, it worked on a Bind card, it worked on magic mushrooms trying to smother her....

Maybe he was getting a little cranky.
He rubbed at gritty eyes and tried to remember how many days he'd been coming here, waiting for Najaran to show up. They all blended together now. But once he realised she'd vanished like he had, he'd made it his single-minded mission to wait for her. Sleep was pushed to the side. Eating was generally pushed to the side. Most everything was pushed to one side so that he could ensure he was there when she came back... Since she hadn't left when the others did. And since she hadn't left, that had to have meant she was still waiting...
And he waited to.
Duo thought that maybe he was going a bit crazy when he heard a sound that, for a moment, sounded like rats in the walls. Rustling. And then... crunching? He looked around and blinked tired eyes, slowly pushing off of the crates as he did. It took a precious few seconds for him to hone in on the sound. When he did he found the suitcase, a tell-tail lump moving it, telling him someone was inside. Or a giant rat. But more likely someone.
He fell to his knees and was quick to get it open, unzipping the thing all the way around to then lift the lid.
"Naja? Shit, Naja it's you! Are you alright?" The relief was palpable, his smile wide as he pushed the lid aside.
I found points hiding on another account!
Goligan gave a little snore.

"The train... Pretty much the train did." How or why, he had no idea. But that was about as much as he knew. The train would summon, vanish and then either send you packing or bring you back all packed up.

"I'm great! Just glad you're back! I dunno how the train does it, they call you and then you vanish. Your name turns gold on the roster. And if you don't leave when we stop for more people, you show up here. It's kinda weird, dontcha think?"

"Are you sure you don't have a fever?" she asked, concerned. She stood, despite being stiff, to check on him. Of course, she had a staff to support her.
Goligan woke up as she leaned her weight on him. "How lost did you get us this time?" he asked, "the luggage cart isn't anywhere near to the quiet car, Najaran!"
no subject
"Not Naja's fault this time, Goli! Blame Ol' Faithful here." He patted one of the shelves of the train and grinned. "The train likes to vanish people whenever it feels like it."
no subject
"Only you would do something like that, Najaran..." Goligan said, dryly.
"Maybe we should take you to the medical car, just in case," she said to Duo, ignoring the jibe. She was seriously worried about him.
no subject
"I'm fine, honestly. Just... haven't been sleepin much is all." The why wasn't really important of course. In fact the less he talked about that the best for his mental health! "I don't need to go to medical. Just some rest."

Goligan rolled his eyes, clearly thinking she was being childish, but not arguing.
no subject
"Don't take this the wrong way, but no can do. But..." He took a few steps closer to her and lifted a hand to drop onto her shoulder. "How're you feeling? I know when I came outta my suitcase I just needed to rest. You okay?"

"You... you what? NAJRARAN! You know you're not allowed coffee!"
She wilted a bit. "Well yeah, but I was too asleep to remember that when he gave it to me..."
no subject
"Uh... Might regret askin.. But why? Is there something wrong with it on your world?" Maybe it was some kind of narcotic? Wouldn't that be insane?
no subject
She huffed.

"Naja...."
Realise that I had a brain fart and tagged you with the idea this was a mission thread. Oops!
Lol, no worried, I figured.

"How do you like it? Sweet? Milky?"
paid ran out, please excuse the messed up icons.

And so, Duo set about making something that was less coffee, more sweet and milky... and with whipped cream on the top. Thanks to Kaito he now knew that was a thing they had and he was happy to get to use it now.

Whipped cream cans, another new thing for Najaran...
