Blue Meeting:
Who: Gladio + Blue Team and Friends.
Where: Dining carriage. (Change of venue, larger space)
When: Grasshopper 15th after lunch.
What: The first Blue Team meeting with the new Leadership in place.
Warnings: Unknown. Possible cuteness. Snack induced jealousy. Will update if something comes up!
To say that Gladio was nervous would be an understatement. He hadn't been able to get much sleep the night before worrying if this would work out the way he had planned. Would people be receptive to what he asked? Would people even come to this meeting? He had been assured by several people there would be at least some (who could resist lovingly prepared snacks?) but it remained to be seen.
Gladio sat at a table, there was a notepad and a pencil in his hand. He would be taking notes of things he deemed important.
Once people started filtering in, Gladio began to feel somewhat better. Calmer. He watched them milling about with a smile. It was only when he thought there was enough that he rose and gave a call to get people's attention.
"First, I just wanna thank everyone for coming. I know it was short notice, but between the mission and platform day coming up, my hands were tied.
In future I'm going to do my best to have a meeting like this before every big mission, once we get the info. I don't think a little organisation can hurt. And... with that in mind. The reason I wanted to get you all here. I want everyone to get to know each other. And I want to learn more about you all. I'd like, if you're all willing, to assign simple roles within the team to each person for missions. If you don't want to be part of that, just let me know. That's your choice." He smiled wider. "If you do... I'll get to you. If you've any questions, I'm open to them. Piccolo and WangJi are also here to answer your questions and concerns. Not just here and not just for missions, but any you have. We're here for you."
With that his smile became a grin. "Now... I know two of our number have been working hard to make delicious snacks, so do me a favour? Make them happy and dig in! Enjoy them and... chat. Mingle. Get to know your fellow blue. We're a small team, lets make us the best team!"

"... You don't plan on staying with blue?" He asked, just to clarify.
"And thanks. So far it looks like things are coming together." Though he wasn't sure he liked the idea of his small team being made smaller, he couldn't very well stop anyone leaving to help other teams, the same way he couldn't stop others from joining his. People went were they felt they were needed the most. But a medic would have been an advantage...
Gladio looked down at his note pad and made a few little notes. "Now, your brother is..." Another look at his notes. "... Wen Ning?" The name had been golden the last time he'd checked it. So it wasn't looking good for their return. Though he said nothing, he hoped for the best and that they returned safely before the train stopped...

"No, it's not that I want to leave the team permanently. I understand my duty is with Blue Team and its tasks. They are the tasks that suit me best." She had always been happy going with Blue Team, satisfied with the work she could do helping people, work which lend itself well to her strengths. Yet... "It is just... There are people on Red I would like to look out for sometimes." One person, in particular. "But if my brother returns, it doesn't matter. I will be at his side, wherever he wishes to go."
She gave him another nod, lips slightly pursed. "But if there are missions on which you truly need me, I will be there, of course. My duty comes first. I can heal, and I can fight somewhat, though I'm not much of a fighter by the standards of other cultivators. I'm decent with a sword and fighting with acupuncture needles but my specialization is medicine."

"Listen... first I'm going to say to hell with duty. Go where you feel you're needed the most. Would I love you to be here with Blue? Course I would. But it's your choice where you feel you'd be of more use. And if you've someone you need to be with, then be with them.
But... if you do come with Blues. I think I'd like you to lead our medical team, if you wouldn't mind? Noct isn't a healer, but he can make a potion that can help in a pinch. Mami generally comes with us and is an accomplished healer." His smile widened some. "If you'd need anything else, let me know. Supplies, anything."

"My choice," she mused, brows furrowing slightly. It had been months on the train but having choices where the only possible path wasn't dictated by survival needs was still an unfamiliar thing at times. "I will think about it, and make this choice. I know I would feel humbled to lead the medical team for you, and I enjoy working with others of my profession. But I can promise whatever I choose, I will be with you when you truly need me."
no subject
"That's all I can ask for." Knowing she would make herself available if they needed it was good enough for him in the short term. Gladio would just have to see how future missions went. With luck, Noct and Mami would be enough to keep people healed for the time being.
