For Eva (Afternoon, Grasshopper 13)
Danny's first priority after the mission was sleep. Lots and lots of sleep.

But eventually he wakes up... and realizes that he should <i>probably</i> do something about the injuries on his back. This was going to be super awkward to deal with by himself. But he could handle it. Probably.

Leaving his cabin, he heads toward the medical car to pick up some bandages. 

For Piccolo (Morning, Grasshopper 14)
If there was one thing Danny had picked up from this mission, it was that he needed a lot more practice with some of his powers. Using duplication for that long had completely wiped him out. 

So back to training. Again.

Early in the morning (for him) he stakes out a corner of the gym car and starts focusing. Slowly his rings appear and he separates into four copies of himself. They stare at each other.

"So that worked. Now what?"


Cinema
Danny throws himself into a chair in the cinema with a grin.

"Okay, who's ready for some terrible monster movies?"
 

Standard Car:
A while ago, Danny had given himself the worst migraine of his life (and afterlife), by taking a look at the void through a telescope. You would think that would have taught him a lesson about looking into the void.

It hadn't.

But at least he hadn't tried the telescope again since then? No, instead he was just hanging out by the window and staring into the void. For fun.

And also maybe trying to see if there was any spots of Ghost Zone green out there.


Luggage Car:
In Danny's opinion, one of the bright spots in his life here is that very few people freaked out about a ghost hanging around. If he wanted to spend a few hours floating around as a ghost, he could. And chances were, no one would even run away from him.

But it was still kind of weird. So when he did feel like being a ghost for a while, he usually tried to find one of the less popular areas of the train. Today, that meant floating near the ceiling of the luggage car as he played around with a few balls of ectoplasm.

Having just finished a shift in the medical car, Ichigo decided he wanted to go somewhere quiet and be by himself. His cabin would have his roommates, the quiet car was pretty much always full up, and so were most of the other cars. Besides, he hadn't ever seen the last car on the train and he was a little curious about what it looked like. After leaving his body in his bunk, the shinigami made his way to the end of the train.

As soon as he stepped inside, he felt cold, like being around Rukia or Toshirou when they used their shikais. Looking around, he saw a white haired teen floating near the ceiling. "I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess you aren't human."

Up near the ceiling, Danny shivers slightly as his breath shows on the air. He immediately twists around and looks around the luggage car for the source.

"Funny," he says as he spots Ichigo. "You don't look like a ghost."

He drops down to the ground, landing in a crouch.

"I'm Danny. And its kind of complicated."

Sticking out his hand, Ichigo grinned. "I'm Ichigo. And I understand the complicated part." He couldn't help looking at the teen's chest, noting the lack of a soul chain. "I'm guessing ghosts work differently in your world."

Danny sighs as he reaches out and shakes with his own, very cold, hand.

"I've kind of gotten that impression here. I've met a few ghosts, and none of them were much like me. Or the full-time ghosts back home."

"I guess the rules are different everywhere. In my world, if you were full on dead, you'd have chain coming out of your chest above your heart. I've never met anyone else who's only half dead, but I know I had to get my chain cut." And then it had crumbled and the hollow half of his powers had woken up without him knowing about it.

Piccolo watched the teen from not too far away, already in the gym when Danny got here. He was going through some basic sets just to keep active whenever he saw Danny produce multiples of himself. His interest was piqued. The last time he had used that technique--heh.

Well, it was worth investigating. He knew their abilities didn't quite match up due to world differences but there was some similarity to any energy. He decided to check up on the kid.

"Have you ever tried sparring with yourself?" Had Piccolo done that before? Yes, yes he had.

"Is that an actual thing?" The Danny on the far left wonders. "I mean, I get beat up enough by everyone else. I always figured I didn't need to be beating myself up too."

"Hmph." Was he amused? Hard to tell. He refused to let his face display any emotion. At least he didn't seem annoyed either though. "It's a thing I've done in the past to hone my skills. It's not necessarily the best way to train but it's better than some."

"Hone your skills? Does that mean you have powers too?"

Danny was curious. He knew that some of the others around here had powers, but he'd never asked too much about them. Mostly because he knew his own powers could be kind of a touchy subject.

He hesitated but eventually Piccolo nodded in response. The hesitation was over the semantics over the wording used rather than reluctance to talk about it though.

"My martial arts covers ki manipulation. There are many techniques for it. Things like flying and ki blasts might be what you'd consider 'powers' of...whatever it is you're thinking of." Please not superheroes. It was so embarrassing when that topic came up.

Cinema

Sakura peers over at the newcomer from her book and lowers it.

"Why would I want to watch anything that was terrible? Doesn't that defeat the point of trying to be entertained?"

"Because watching something terrible is the point!" He grins at her. "How else are we supposed to make fun of how terrible the plot and special effects are?"

Sakura just looks at him oddly, "What are special effects? You mean they're not using real monsters?"

"Right. There were movies a lot like this back home, and they were made by people who'd never seen monsters or vampires or ghosts, and probably didn't even believe they were real. All the effects are done with wires and paint and stuff, and the monsters are just humans in costumes." He snickers. "It's hilarious just seeing everything they got wrong."

Given she was very forcibly evac'd back to the train following the boss monster fight, Eva should be in the recovery compartment resting and healing from worse-than-they-looked-injuries. Should be, but isn't. Instead, she's rummaging around looking for painkillers to take the edge of the pain so she can be a social butterfly.

It's fine. She's fine. Honestly. Oran berries and a bit of (stabilising) healing magic and she's as good as new.

"Hey." There's a small wave when Danny enters, but otherwise, Eva doesn't stop her hunt for the painkillers. "Do you think the train has anything like morphine?"

Eva Plz.

"Doesn't that stuff have to be prescribed?" he wonders. Danny had always made do with a couple of regular, over the counter, painkillers. Rapid healing was a super useful ability to have.

"By the way, did you see where the bandages are?" He makes a face. "I should probably get some disinfectant or something too."

"Yeah, but this isn't exactly home," Eva says. "And if I can dull the worst of it for a few days..."

It'll make life so much simpler and easier, thank you very much. Stay in bed type she really isn't.

She points to one of the drawers. "I think they were over there, and disinfectant is good, but as long as the wound clean, your immune system should take care of the rest. "

"My sister would kill me if I didn't go through all the first aid steps." He pauses a beat. "The rest of the way. Probably."

He goes over the drawer and starts fishing through it in search of supplies.

Kitty grinned as she took a seat as well. "All right, sounds fun. What are our options?"

Danny frowns as he looks through the selections.

"Looks like we've got 'It Came from the Purple Lagoon', 'Attack of the Giant Wombats' and 'Mummy vs. Dinosaur'."

She was only vaguely aware of the movies that sounded similar to the listed titles, but she couldn't help laughing.

"Okay, I have to see how they tried to make wombats scary."

"Agreed." He snickers a little as he starts the movie. "You think its one of the ones where they just cut between footage of wombats and the actors?"

Cinema Car

"What is a monster movie and why are they terrible?" Wei Wuxian asked, curiously.

He too had been sleeping off his exhaustion, and was now ready to mingle with the other passengers again. But this sounded intriguing.

[Prepare to watch a movie with someone who probably will have something to say about every monster, every fight scene, and if it is badly subtitled Chinese, bad dialog :D]

Danny grins as he begins the explanation.

"Monster movies, or at least this kind of monster movie, are made by humans who have never seen a monster and who don't believe that monsters are real. The monsters in these are humans wearing costumes. Or even better, they're just models made out of plywood and wire." Here he grins even more. "They are hilariously bad, and get almost everything wrong."
