Cinema car

This morning, there's one of two movies playing, Humans and Heroes, a space opera featuring a princess and the wanted criminal she ends up accompanying across multiple galaxies and Wild Magic, an animated movie about a witch who has to help a group of kids banish a demon one of them accidentally summoned on a dare.

Noctis is here for both of them, wearing one headphone earpiece and appearing to be asleep in both cases, even though he's the one who picked out the movies.

However, if anyone tries to change what's playing, he'll 'wake up' to complain.


Kitchen

Seriously? Do all these recipes have carrots?

[After replaying all the ICP's current recipes, he goes about searching for something
1) he can find the ingredients for
2) he can make
3) that isn't carrots

Eventually he finds sandwich fixings--hopefully edible, if he got the shapes of the containers right.]


Random

[He's heard that there's nothing outside of the train, but that the void is colorful. To him, it's about as colorful as anything else, but that hasn't stopped him from hanging out by random windows and just staring out of them like something might happen.

This is probably not recommended for anyone else, but he's not about to tell anyone what to do.]

[He definitely felt like a cat, and Noctis carefully felt around Maru's ears and down the side of his head. A fluffy cat at that, and one that apparently can not only talk but can use its paws as hands. Huh.]

If I could, I would've said something before. I'm not used to cats talking.

[Here he was, assuming that Maru was simply a very short person.]

[Maru was very much a cat... now. Fluffy and soft and warm to the touch. He even purred a little. It was an unconscious kind of thing, he was being petted after all.]

You'll find a lot of weird characters on this train.

A talking cat's the weirdest so far. Do you have a name?

[It'd probably be a good idea to stop petting the cat and close the fridge door, but that would involve...not petting the cat anymore. A tough decision.]

[Actually, the fridge should be closed. And it was cold. He didn't like the cold and he was sat in it... So... he jumped. He jumped up and landed lightly upon the other;s shoulder.]

You were making a sandwich?

Noctis.

[He was startled by the sudden weight on his shoulder, but fortunately didn't knock Maru off. He did reach up to steady the cat as he pushed the fridge closed again.]

Right, yeah...thanks for the help. Think I could bribe you into being a seeing eye cat?

I can be bribed with cookies. But I can help if you want it?

[Madoka was always telling him he should make friends. Being helpful was a way to doing that, right?]

[He has to laugh at that, just a little. Last time he made friends with a cat, it was through fish, so cookies seem a little strange to him.]

Never heard of a cat who liked cookies. What's your favorite?

Chocolate chip of course.

[What else? Chocolate chip were superior to all other cookies in Maru's opinion.]
