Who: Two idiots (Inigo and Tidus)
When: Grasshopper 14
Where: Inside a cheeseburger Tidus' room, and then.. well, idk, somewhere. Probably. You'll hear them.
What: Inigo made a promise to Taiki and he's intending to live up to it.
Warnings: None. Only the secondhand embarrassment you get when you read this.

Okay, so technically his promise to Taiki doesn't mean as much anymore now Gyousou is back. He can't exactly yell at the train about why it'd take Gyousou away if the man is now back with Taiki.

But he's still going to do it. Especially since it's already been the second time that Gyousou disappeared from the train, and if there's a way, then Inigo would really prefer to make sure it doesn't happen again. He can't quite take the way Taiki always looks so heartbroken whenever it happens. And sure, there's a big chance nothing will come from this, but sometimes yelling about your grievances might be a good thing? Maybe?

Who knows, Inigo doesn't practice self care. He sure doesn't know!

But he knows someone who's way too good at complaining. And who's just.. too powerful. Someone needs to stop Tidus. But not today, because today Inigo sure could use his help. And hopefully the other is a little more well-rested now it's not directly after the mission anymore?

So.. once more, Tidus will hear banging on the door to his room.

"Tidus! Tidus, it's me again! Erm, this time.. it's slightly less pressing? But I still need your help! Pretty please?"

There's a brief moment where Inigo isn't paying attention to what Tidus is doing.

He glances sideways, off at Nita, giving her a double thumbs up to indicate it's great, they've got this, don't worry about them--

But then he glances back to the screen, noticing the two messages Tidus sent.

Using his ticket.

"Tidus!"

"..."

Nita cannot let herself facepalm at this, though she very much wants to. But then, it's not like she can see the screen...

"What happened?"

Meanwhile, she's still paying attention to the train's own- ambiance? Whatever.

It hasn't changed, anyway; she tries not to make a face, as it'd give the two boys the wrong impression.

"Whatever it is, the train's still listening."

[blitzcheer]

"What?" Tidus says to them both in the tone of perfect innocence. What did he do! He did nothing wrong! Why, he'll even answer Nita-

"I asked it why it was taking us! It didn't do nothing different? Not even a lil'?"

There was absolutely nothing odd included in that.

[flatteries]

"Nitaaa!"

Forget this. Forget their little mission to find out what the train does or doesn't react to. Inigo is way too stuck in toddler phase right now to care much about that, and despite being a fully grown 17 year old, he's moving from his position next to Tidus over to Nita, clinging to her arm and sniffing.

"Tidus is sending weird messages to the train using my ticket! Now it's going to think I'm.. I'm an oddball!" The absolute horror.

"No more than the rest of us, Inigo, I promise," Nita assures, finally stepping away from the wall to more directly address this new situation.

"Apparently I sent... some pretty weird ones after that one time at the party- no, Bobo, you don't need to quote them at me!"

She scowls, though it is purely at the voice of wizardry in her head which is laughing at her, rather than the two people with her.

"So... I think it'll be fine, though I can clarify that it was Tidus texting and not you if that helps."

[blitzcheer]

Wow, look at that guy go. And he's calling that a weird message? The insult of that declaration--and going over and crying to Nita about it!!--gets Tidus back at the keyboard, filing out one last message and hitting send. Before anyone else but him and the train can see it.

"Hey, I didn't send anything weird, okay! I sent what Inigo told me to!"

He looks over at Inigo.



And slowly starts to grin.

Thank Naga that Nita is here. Just her saying these simple things is instantly soothing. It almost feels like all his worries fade away somewhere between her admitting she has done similarly embarrassing things and that she can clarify...

But before Inigo can do as much as open his mouth to reply to her, he looks over at Tidus.

And sees that grin. He knows what that grin means. His expression immediately goes from 'slowly going back to okay' to 'immensely devastated' in no time flat.

"Nita!" Now he's giving her the full on puppy eyes. In fact.. are his eyes starting to look a little watery? "Nita, you have to clarify! Please! Look at that look he's giving me!"

What face he's just going to turn around with his hands behind his head.

This time, she does facepalm.

/Okay, just to be clear, that was Tidus borrowing Inigo's ticket, if you couldn't get a visual on that. He's... genuine, if silly./

She won't apologize for Tidus, though; that feels like going a bit too far with it.

"Anything else you two wanted to do or say up here?"

[blitzcheer]

"Nope, I had fun," Tidus replies, a guy with no remorse, or no recognition for actions to have any remorse over. Hands still behind his head, but with no apparent moves made to go back to the terminal.

[flatteries]

Nita truly just has a whole circus to endure over here. At least Inigo does let go of her, if not just to quickly run over to the machine and take his ticket back before Tidus can send anything more embarrassing to the train.

(Little does he know Tidus has already done exactly that.)

He clutches the ticket to his chest like he's never going to let anyone else touch it ever again, and then sniffs before rubbing with his other hand at his eyes. He's totally not crying, guys. He's fine. This is fine.

"N-- No, I'm done."

The same answer, yet the complete opposite emotional reaction...

With a sigh, Nita steps away from the engine wall.

"Let's get everyone back down-train, then. You both look like you could use a rest."

Don't think she's going to forget that, either of you!

[blitzcheer]

Does Inigo want a hair ruffle? Because he's going to get one when he sounds like that, Tidus's brain... ... well, more awake than it had been ever before, but still not going to think more any more than it has to. There there, Inigo. Hope the train loves you too.

"Inigo's fine. If he gets any special favours from the train, he should thank me!"

[flatteries]

"Tidus is the one who wanted to slee-- Don't touch me!"

You can tell Inigo is actually upset when he's telling someone to not touch him, despite how consistently touch-starved he seems. He even raises his hands, like he's trying to ward off that hair ruffle.

He sniffs again. He may be trying to hold back tears over here. So far, so good. Mostly.

"Thanks for helping, Nita. It means a lot to me that you went along with it so readily." A second passes, and then his tone obviously drops to a more sulky level-- ".. Thanks to Tidus for coming along too, I guess. I'm going."

And sure, they all need to head in the exact same direction, but Inigo is going to valiantly attempt to make a headstart here, okay. So he can find somewhere to cry privately.
