1. aid // for purple team CR:
- Tidus has an objective, first coming from a bet of 'who can get the most points!' to 'okay, but do you get anything out of doing chores than the sense of self-satisfaction of helping out the community (pffft, boriiing)'? That's what Tidus wants to do, and suuure, he really has no reason to think that chores gives you anything when he hasn't...been the best at them, but.
That's not stopping his little inner nag from wanting him to find out, and what better way to run experiments with a friendly face? Perhaps an unsuspecting one, when he comes to a Purple-clothed team and starts, with a bright and familiar face on him.
"Heyyy. You free?"
2. cleaning:
- ( a. kitchen ) Or maybe he's already recruited your character, they were already there to do chores, or they just happen to be in the kitchen at the time, which great! Tidus is easy with conversation, piping up with a "Hey!" to anyone that comes into the kitchen, and for those he's already with, ask, "You meet anyone interesting on the platform?", "You order anything in?", "So, what'd you think about that last mission?"
Despite this, he is trying to do as much he can think of to do: Put the plates and cutlery through the dishwashers, set them aside to be put away again; mopping the floor (and even saying to those he's partnered with beforehand, 'I'll do the floor', like it's his personal mission). And he's fine with clearing up some of the trays and bowls by hand in the sink, but he's...rather awkward about it. Minding how deep his left hand goes in, his SCA still strapped around his wrist, and doing what he can to make sure it doesn't hit the water. And maybe even looking around and seeing if there's anything he can put around it. Can he tuck kitchen roll around it...? ...he does try...
( b. bathrooms ) lol no he won't and YOU CAN'T MAKE HIM.
3. around
- Otherwise, Tidus can be found around normally on the train. He's often trying out the sports in the gynasium, from badminton, tennis, to volleyball, and if your character happens to like to join there too, he won't be afraid to ask, "Hey, mind if I join in?"; he's on the lookout to see who's into sports, or who might be checking out the room with interest.
He also takes part in the training gym, whether in one of the group sessions or taking time in it setting up obstacles with the balancing beams, ropes, and so forth. The floor is lava and you need to run across the beams, jumping onto the climbing set and swing across the next lot! He's a monkey with too much energy. Or maybe your character is already up to something in there?
Tidus does know how to do chill however. Find him in the cinema car watching what's already playing or some dumb comedy, or even in the music car to see what tunes are available for his SCA. There's a also a chance of finding him on the upper quiet car floor, the doors closed and...he's sitting cross-legged on the floor between the couches, his eyes closed and head slightly hanging. What. Knock on the door, or leave him be?
Also, maybe he'll be checking out a random pet wandering around. Heyy there little guuuyy how friendly are you? Insert your pal [here].

Which is why Inigo still seems relatively enthusiastic as he pulls out the rest of the very, very brightly coloured outfit, holding out the pants and shirt in front of himself as if to show Tidus what it'd look like on him.
"Does this look anything like what they wear where you come from? It's so different from what I'm used to!" But not in a bad way, apparently? Inigo sure sounds peppy about it. But then again, he may not be the pickiest guy around...
no subject
Though he has to say- "It'd be better if they were a different colour. Like blue? A dark blue'd suit you." He reaches out, pulling at the side of the shirt--but it was really both the shirt and trousers that was the problem. That colour... it was too much together! He picks up the other parcel set down.
"Spread them out on that table there--" Tidus points to the nearest both "--and open this one, see if you can mix 'n' match, how they look. That might look good."
no subject
(And yes, he's taking off the dumb baseball cap too, okay. Putting it down with everything else.)
He opens up the other package instead, his eyes growing slightly wider in surprise.
".. Huh, this is very different!" Not necessarily a bad kind of different though. Inigo doesn't sound disappointed, more just surprised.
"What's this?" He holds up the long piece of fabric, curiously looking at it. "A scarf?"
no subject
"Looks like it!" Tidus says, very observant. Or he can't see it being anything else. He'll offer to take the rest of the package--"Let me see?"--so Inigo doesn't hold everything at once. And if Inigo's fine with that, he'll start to take more out--a hat, which ... gets flung onto the seat and promptly ignored for the striped shirt.
"This isn't bad," he remarks. Maybe he's been too harsh about the train shop and it's actually normal? ...except he remembers the onesie and whatever that thing was Reno was wearing, so probably not. "Hey, you got a jacket too."
no subject
"Oh! You're right. That's actually quite a lot just for those points, right?" He's seen people get outfits before that were just practically one or two things...
Though, speaking of things. Of course Inigo spots the hat a moment later and puts it onto his head without any hesitation whatsoever.
"Tidus, look! It's got little ears!" Inigo is reaching up to wiggle them a little with his hands, before flipping the things on the side. "And.. flappy things!"
no subject
Oh no, why is he wearing it? Why has he got to stick everything on his head? Would Inigo stick a flowerpot on his head if someone told him it was a hat? Tidus winces at the sight....man. Man.
"Uh-" yeah nice dude cool cool cool "--you wanna give it to one of the kids?"
Asked in the most hopeful of tones. You do, don't you pal? Don't you want to give it away. Inigo doesn't look bad in it exactly, but.....he definitely doesn't need to wear it beyond today!
no subject
His tone sounds like he can't believe what he's hearing right now. His hands drop to his side before they end up resting on his hips.
"Why would I want to give it away? And why to one of the kids? Did any of them say they wanted a hat?" One can hear his tone sway there a little, because of course Inigo would feel like a jerk for withholding something from a cute kid if they really wanted it, but.. but! "I really like it though!"
no subject
What is he meant to say to that? 'No, it's dorky'? He's seen people wear dorkier, and it is Inigo's hat. Ugh, should he actually intervene here when it comes to fashion? Who knows what half of the people on the train would be wearing right about now given the chance?
Tidus makes a conflicted expression, his arms slowly coming out in a 'I dunno, shrug!!' gesture.
"Well...it's your hat!" he finally concedes, giving in, giving up. It's Inigo's life. Nobody can't say he didn't try for five seconds.
no subject
But Inigo still doesn't see the problem, so he gives Tidus a last 'then what was that suggestion for, dude!' look before he goes back to smiling.
And still not taking off the hat.
He glances at all the stuff they got though.
".. Sheesh, we really went wild here. Where am I even going to leave all this stuff?" He's never had this many possessions at once before! Well, not since his age got into the double digits, anyway.
no subject
"A few books and clothes?" Tidus looks aside at the collection, and true, their rooms didn't have that much space to begin with. But he folds his arms, not too concerned. "Which bed at you? Bottoms have those compartments. You got your bag too, don't you? It's not that bad," he finishes off with.
Nahh, Inigo will find the room.
no subject
He's probably already trying to envision it, judging by the way his voice trails off as he says it. He moves a hand up, only pulling the hat off his head briefly so he can scratch his head.
"I'll figure it out. It's not like we will be able to do this again anytime soon anyway, unless the train magically decides to shower me in points." Since they close to drained his supply of those this time around! Not that Inigo sounds like he's complaining, necessarily. It's been.. kind of nice to spend time with Tidus like this? Just thinking about both dumb things and serious things, taking a look at new things.. It's nice.
no subject
"Don't forget to read the books though. You can always leave 'em on the bookcase? Tuck them away so nobody notices them--there's a big thick book there nobody touches. That's a good hiding spot."
no subject
But then his gaze falls on the magazine again, and he instantly picks that one up.
"I'll be reading this one for sure." And before Tidus can get the wrong (right) idea, he quickly adds: "S.. Since it reminds me of my mother."
Clearly. That's the only reason he's going to hide it under his pillow like it's a hidden dirty magazine or something.
no subject
"Try the comics too. You can't give up that easy. Read the one about dragon riding, you know about dragons at least."
And less about being a modern day individual living their life in jungle cities. Or whatever else was going on in that comic.
no subject
What do you think you are, Tidus? His dad?! He can be a rebellious teen too, you know!
"I was planning on making Gerome look at that one anyway. And he probably won't even bother to read it unless I'm doing it too." Because trying to get that guy to try anything is just. Impossible. Even when it involves something he does enjoy like dragons! "Guess I'll carry all these things back over to my bunk then before anyone sees the sheer explosion of shop items here."
He's already trying to gather it all up in his arms as he speaks.
no subject
"Yeah, you really bought a mountain's worth of stuff. Sorry for wanting you to enjoy life a little and try new things!"
But an idea occurs as Tidus finishes saying that, ad he slinks back a few steps, sighing as he throws out his hands in a gesture of 'oh well!'.
"Guess I leave you to get on that. See ya around, Inigo!"
--and with that spat out, Tidus turns and hurries to the nearby door out of the car, to leave Inigo to his item-carrying doom. SEE YA.
