Fight Club Open Log! (Catch-All For the Month of Grasshopper)

This is an OPEN LOG for anyone to join. Make toplevels to your heart's content and tag around to each other freely. Whether your character is offering to teach or wanders in looking for someone to get them involved (or just to watch), this is a post for you! You may use this for any sort of open or even private threads if you so wish.

This log is for anyone who wants to participate in exercising, training, sparring, and teaching lessons. Some of the "classes" also involve things like yoga, meditation, and easier self defense mechanisms for anyone to learn. Magic users are also extremely encouraged to use the practice dummies and other facilities as well! After all, they also need to practice and also get used to having physical fighters near them as they spellcast. And vice versa. Plus, some people use both abilities in battle!

Basically, if you want to learn new skills that could be useful on missions, come take a peek!

For a basic set-up consider this: the new training gym has all sorts of useful equipment for physical fitness such as mats, soft hand held pads for training with, training dummies, some balancing beams and even a springboard. There are large blocks for making obstacle courses or creating a unique battlefield, and two climbing apparatus next to the wall. Many people are found here daily training, maintaining physical fitness, and teaching others how to handle combat in one fashion or another. Others come and go more sporadically but all are welcome and everyone (typically) shares everything with relative ease. Many of the usual suspects will help accommodate whoever asks for help. Generally, there is just a lot of activity and a busy but fluid schedule around all the equipment and space provided.

Various characters will be around to help answer questions icly if you like (I have 47 on offer for starters) and if you have any ooc questions or comments drop a line over here! An ic announcement was also made by 47 if your character needs an impetus for heading towards the gym. c:

Kaseri is immediately charmed. He's so big! Bigger than any rapidash, she's sure. Maybe even bigger than Mudsdale.

Kaseri on the other hand, is so small that when trying to nose at the other, she actually rears up briefly on her hind legs.

It manages to earn a snort from her trainer. "Psh- Heh, yeah, tha's Kaseri; Guess she didn' expect anythin' 'her' shaped here, let alone tha' big," he laughs, grinning at the sight.

[enthunder]

"Kaseri, right. He's Odin. Eidolons need to be big, but it doesn't make it any less weird," she agrees, still half-watching the interaction between the two creatures. She's not worried, per se, but Odin has never really had to interact with monsters beyond smashing them into pieces, so there's... hm, maybe she'll call it curiosity.

"So does she fight, or is she a pet?"

"Yeah, she fights- not too directly though, or there'd be some issues obviously..." He trails off, watching the smaller try to investigate around the larger's legs. "But she's a pr'tty powerful psychic, able t' levitate stuff an' such."

[enthunder]

"A psychic horse," she repeats, in tones of vague disbelief. "Huh, now I really have seen everything."

Not that she can talk, as her eight-foot mecha horse drops to its knees to butt its faceplate against Kaseri. "Don't think I got your name?"

"Yep!" Ah, on that note, while pony and horse butt heads in greeting-

"Oh- Uh, Jonouchi. Katsuya Jonouchi, las' names best though," he answers. "...Blue team, but tha's obvious," the blond mutters, scratching the shoulder of his sweater.

[enthunder]

"Whatever it means, yeah," she agrees, indicating their respective shirts. "Jonouchi, got it. I'm Light. ... Technically I'm one of Red's leaders, but that doesn't really matter day-to-day."

"Heh, feels almos' like it doesn' even totally matter much on missions, w'th th' mixin' I saw!" As soon as he makes the joke, he blinks, and squints. "...Er...'cept wait, y'd still be th' l... ...Nevermind."

It's fine he figured it out! "Nice t' meet y', Light!" Don't call him out!!

She nods, to his pleasantries, but doesn't drop the subject.

"No, you're right, leaders are pretty much stuck with their missions, but everyone else should do what they want. Works out better that way."

"Righ'!" He shrugs. "Guess I don' know much abou' if I'd give the other groups a shot yet...only really been on one so."

He'll just have to see really.
