[Open] 'cause my monsters are real

Who: Reno, OTA
Where: Training gym
When: Grasshopper day thirty
What: Reno isn't so much training as taking his anger out on the training equipment.
Warnings: Lots of cursing and violence towards training equipment. Aggression towards anyone interrupting quite likely.

Today Reno didn't head for his usual perch atop one of the climbing sets where he liked to lounge and watch the people below him. Instead the redhead went straight for a training dummy and moved it into an area with less traffic at the moment. He was up oddly early for someone as lazy as him and it looked a little like he might not have slept much the night before. So the carriage was a little less crowded than when he usually came in. For now.

That was fine by him. He wasn't here for the company. He was here to beat the shit out of the practice dummy.

Reno "fought" the rooted enemy with all his usual flashy tricks. He darted around it with amazing speed and agility. As he dashed and attacked bursts of blue-white lightning flashed around him in all directions. It didn't matter how he attacked or what he used--whether he bashed the dummy with his baton or punched it with a combo or kicked it from the air--there was a constant stream of electricity that flowed around him that enhanced his attacks. It made the carriage begin to smell of ozone as he kept up the barrage for minutes, an hour, longer. He was sweating and breathing heavily but he barely took a second away from dashing around his fake opponent and attacking it with abandon.

At least the constant lightning kept most of the other passengers away if they were smart. Reno preferred it that way. He wasn't in the mood to talk about it. He just wanted to keep at it till he couldn't lift his arms anymore or stand on his feet without wobbling. Until he couldn't think about anything at all.

But...it's his favorite train wreck!

After Reno had been going at it for over an hour, Glorfindel finally stepped in and handed him a water bottle full of a green fluid. "Drink. You're making everyone else dehydrated just looking at you," he said.

He didn't seem bothered by the lightning, thank you.

He gives it about a 6/10 on the Reno scale.

"You seem to have plenty of energy," Glorfindel assured him. "It's just to keep you hydrated." It was a special elf blend, so, surprise, it actually tasted decent.

He looked at the scorch marks on the dummy. There were few places left where the original color was visible. "Not working on your aim, today, I see."

From the lack of his usual precision, Glorfindel guessed that something was bothering Reno today. More than the usual bother, that was.

"It's not putting up much of a fight. Do you need a sparring partner?" Glorfindel asked.

Glorfindel tilted his head to one side and made a 'come to me' gesture with one hand, smiling slightly, as his only response.

He was probably the safest person on the Train for Reno to fight just then.

He was going to ask if weapons were allowed or not, but figured he'd find out quick enough if Reno used one.

Over the millenia, Glorfindel had raised generations of Dunedain. More than a few came to him with a chip on their shoulder. So he's been here before.

Not with a lightning rod, mind you. That did sting a little, but Glorfindel healed just as fast.

Dodge, block, dodge. The lightning might tickle, but none of the blows landed, not with the way Reno was telegraphing. Glorfindel caught the kick with a slight smile. "That the best you've got?" he asked the Turk. He pushed the foot away from him as he let go.

Glorfindel waved at Carbuncle and smiled at the little fellow. When he cast Haste on Reno, Glorfindel laughed. "All right! Now I can stop holding back!"

When Reno went to hit him with the lightning, Glorfindel flared brighter and took the energy into himself, then responded. Not dodging the next attack, but blocking it, blow for blow. "Not bad...for a human," Glorfindel said with a grin. He made a beckoning motion again. "Come on now, I was promised a dance."

Glorfindel's hair was moving slightly independently of his motion, and his glow was a deeper gold. Reno referred to Carbuncle as fae, but the look on Glorfindel's face could also be called that. He looked like a wild First Age Elf who finally got to let loose.
