What: Chatting about the new changes since their time on Jema'grethy.
Warnings: Characters may be awkward in discussing their new bonds, but that should be the worst of it.

Not everyone was lucky enough to share a cabin with the person they'd been tied to due to the forces of Jema'grethy, Nita supposed.

But then, 'lucky' might be too strong a word. And besides, it wasn't as if her connection was only to Minako.

So when there was a moment where everyone was in the cabin and not especially looking to leave - before they were distracted by chores or other projects - Nita made sure to close the door and lean on it.

"Okay, sound off: I know Kaiba talked about the new strangeness after the island, but what's that looked like for you all so far? Anything of note?"

She looked pointedly to Minako, but the Blue team member didn't have to speak up first.

Minako hadn't been planning on leaving her bunk anytime soon. Instead, she was simply laying there, hands behind her head and eyes closed for the moment. She was just relaxing.

"I've not had anything like he mentioned emotion wise... Which must be a pain after a while." She was at least being truthful, it wasn't the same thing.

"Though I do feel something, but it's hard to explain."

Samata had been reading, twenty minutes ago. Now she was lightly dozing, with the book on her face. She kind of jerked awake when she heard Nita talking. She sat up in her bunk and spent a moment trying to figure out what she was talking about.

Right she thought, as she yawned hard enough her jaw popped. The whole weirdness on that island.

Out loud she said "I haven't noticed much. Just the occasional stab of hunger that isn't mine. It's a damned peculiar feeling, though, let me tell you."

After Nita had shared the memories with her, Kitty had retreated to their room to distract herself for a while. Pausing the music on her SCA and pulling out her earbuds now though, Kitty sat up in her bunk, sitting cross-legged as she turned to face Nita.

"I think...sometimes the emotions I'm feeling aren't mine," she said slowly. "I've been feeling a lot of...warmth lately, though I'm not entirely sure why."

Nita quietly took in all of their reactions. Hunger was a little weird; maybe someone on the train wasn't eating enough? But beyond that-

"Warmth like an emotion, or something more physical? For us," Nita added, nodding again at Minako, "I'd say it's less a focus on emotion and more... I know where they are, all the time. Not in a way where it's intrusive, it's just knowledge that's there."

"It's...definitely more emotional, I think. I can pick up some of his stronger emotions."

Samata felt a stab of guilt. She'd agreed to cover for Uta, so she would, but it still felt weird to lie to her roommates. Or at least to downplay the truth a bit. "It seems like it's not identical for everyone. Which makes sense to me. We're all different, after all. Hell, we're all from different WORLDS. We're lucky we can all eat the same food!"

"I mean yeah we all are from different worlds so things like emotions and food would be different. isn't that why the train stocks things for those that have those different diet needs." She hasn't exactly met anyone who fits that yet, but hey she wasn't going to say it was impossible either.

"But yeah for me it's like a sense of knowing... rather than emotions."

"That might be more variation in biology - or species - than just being from different worlds would account for."

But that's talking more theory, not reality. Finally straightening up, Nita walked off from the door.

"Though, I guess I asked because - is there anything we need to really worry about, when it comes to having people we're bonded to who aren't in this cabin? In case it turns out we have to run emergency sleepovers at some point, or something."

Kitty hesitated, glancing down at her bed. "...I'm not sure," she finally admitted after a moment. While she didn't know Bucky that well, some of what he'd told her about himself already worried her a little.

"I am perfectly content not sleeping with that man." Samata declared.

"I don't have anything against him, but I also feel no strong need to spend more time with him than I already have been just because we occasionally get flashes of each others' moods."

"Yeah, I mean if they want to sleep over then that's one thing. But the bond, I don't think draws us to do things like sleepovers."

At least she didn't feel that need, but hey sleepovers do sound like fun.

"But hey, someday we could try and do a sleepover thing of sorts in one of the carriages."

"Good to hear," Nita replied to Samata in particular, sounding somewhat bemused.

"If the bonds prove useful during missions, that's one thing. But when we're just on the train, figuring out their limits..."

She nodded, moving over to gently tap the door, disarming her wizardry.

"That's all I had in mind, anyway. Though, anything else you all wanted to check in on?"

"If we don't, I have some very definitive plans vis a vis napping."

She had been up late, again, working.

"For now, I think we'll just see how things go," Kitty said with a shrug. "I'll let you know if anything changes, though."

"I don't think I have anything else to add really. Maybe take notes if things change or write down experiences and such. That way it gives us an idea of the bonds, I suppose. But that's all I can think of."

Not that the idea was at all useful anyway.
