Open-Log--less talk, more action? With Prompts and OTA [Month of Horseshoe]

Trunks had finally found his cabin, and met his room-mates. One of whom was a book. With very odd ideas, that had Trunks raising an eyebrow at it. (He didn't really do well with 'overlords' okay?) After that it had been investigating his rucksack--and he had his capsule case. With his mini-fridge (yay), but two capsules of clothes (his armor and his normal stuff) otherwise. WHERE WAS THE TIME MACHINE?!?!?!

Still, not much he could do now. Besides, he had a whole train to explore. Along with a spar--and Cassie had said she'd usually be in the gym car. Come to think of it, Trunks would probably be spending a lot of time in the gym car himself. So, time to explore his new 'home'.

Cassie chuckles softly. "Yeah. I did. You feel...bright, and clear. A kind of pure light, like the Dog Star. Only up close."

She pauses. Catches his lips to kiss them as he pulls away.

"Real close...almost like it's wrapping its arms around me."

The Cassiegrin is back.

"I am. Figured it'd help you." Trunks chuckled himself, reaching up to stroke her hair softly.

[nutkrusher]

"Well, it's appreciated. I can't sense passively yet."

Her fingers return to tracing through his hair.

"And it feels good having you wrapped around me."

[light_of_willpower]

"It's what I'd do if you couldn't fly on your own. Try and help protect you." Leaning more into her touch. "This isn't me showing off, either. I'm just not hiding."

[nutkrusher]

"I don't need protecting," Cassie says, "but it's good to have a partner who's got my back."

She twirls a strand of his hair in her fingers.

"And who'll always find me."

[light_of_willpower]

"Everyone needs it sometimes, but I know better than to not let you fight. You don't need a hero or knight, just someone who has your back." Teasing a bit, but still smiling.

"I don't know, you do look pretty knightly when you're wearing that sword on your back," Cassie says.

"It's a good look."

[light_of_willpower]

That made him chuckle again, and nuzzle her forehead. "You know what I mean, Cas. You're no damsel in distress, but if you ever need help, I'm there."

[nutkrusher]

"I did know what you meant," Cassie says. "But I couldn't resist."

She nuzzles her nose against his.

"You know I've got your back, too."

[light_of_willpower]

"I do, and I'm grateful." Pulling her just that little bit closer in a tight hug. Kissing by her ear, before nuzzling it. "And as nice as this is, it's late, we're both sweaty, and we probably SHOULD go find a shower then bed."

Cassie grins, suppressing a snort.

"Much as I love the thought, we should probably go find two showers."

[light_of_willpower]

Ducking his head against her shoulder, Trunks groaned and could tell he was blushing. "That did not come out the way I meant it. Two showers, yes, and two beds. I'm...I'm not ready. Yet."

[nutkrusher]

Cassie chuckles. "Yeah, and it'd probably be a bad idea anyway. But you left yourself open there."

[light_of_willpower]

"I did. I know." He doesn't sound too unhappy, even if he's resigned to it. One last nuzzle of her neck, hugging her tightly, before Trunks reins his ki back in from where he'd wrapped it around her too. Moving to hide just what his power-level might be, so that he blended in with anyone else. A prelude to pulling away more fully.

"Well, it's been nice to see you in a new way."

She pulls in for one last kiss before they part.

"You'll see it again, don't worry." Murmured, kissing her forehead too, before taking that step back. Then another, although Trunks moved to hold her hand.

Cassie twines her fingers with his as they head toward the showers.

"Looking forward to it."
