Trunks had finally found his cabin, and met his room-mates. One of whom was a book. With very odd ideas, that had Trunks raising an eyebrow at it. (He didn't really do well with 'overlords' okay?) After that it had been investigating his rucksack--and he had his capsule case. With his mini-fridge (yay), but two capsules of clothes (his armor and his normal stuff) otherwise. WHERE WAS THE TIME MACHINE?!?!?!

Still, not much he could do now. Besides, he had a whole train to explore. Along with a spar--and Cassie had said she'd usually be in the gym car. Come to think of it, Trunks would probably be spending a lot of time in the gym car himself. So, time to explore his new 'home'.

It was a good start, but thankfully the ectoplasmic blasts were similar enough to ki blasts that Trunks could block them. It was decent cover for Kitty too, as she was able to get close to Trunks and almost in his guard. While she'd gone on the offense though, he decided to go on the offense himself with a kick-punch combo towards Kitty.

While she could have phased to have the attacks pass through her, Kitty instead blocked them before trying another punch of her own. She wasn't really expecting to land a hit, but she hoped to distract him enough for Danny to get a hit in.

Danny takes the moment that Trunks was busy attacking Kitty to dive down for a punch at top speed. It was one of his favorite tricks. One punch with all the force of his speed behind it.

It was a good idea. Trunks was used to 2-on-1 fights though, which meant he blocked Kitty while she acted as the distraction. If he'd been meaner, or if this were anything but sparring, Trunks would have maneuvered differently. Probably to try and place Kitty in the bath of Danny's attack.

As it was, Danny was about to find out the hard way why that wasn't always a good attack. Ducking low and moving to sweep and knock Kitty back, before Trunks braced himself to just block and stone-wall Danny's attack. At most, he might skid a bit.

Kitty gasped as Trunks swept her legs out from under her. But instead of panicking, she used her powers, and let her momentum carry her to phase through the floor and disappear.

....That was unexpected.

But if there was one thing learning how to fight on the job had done for Danny, it was to teach him how to improvise. The moment the attack is blocked he pulls on his ice core and uses his free hand to blast a layer of ice across the floor, avoiding the space where Kitty had just phased through.
